Forums going to Discord

I don't use discord, I have tried it in the past and find it a little complicated as I'm not particularly computer literate. I have been playing this game for over 11 years and now it seems players like me are being shoved aside. I have paid more than the required $50 to receive support and now it would seem that if I don't use a third party software like discord then I wont be able to get the support I have paid for. The support we currently get is already well below the level of support we got when we first had to pay $50 for it and Kixeye have the nerve to call it a "premium service". I'm sure I can not be the only person that is in this situation. If we can not use this Kixeye site for support then will Kixeye be refunding us all our $50 back? Why can't Kixeye leave things that are not broken alone? This site works and thousands of us still use it. If people choose to use Discord then fair enough but not everyone can or wants to use it. I would find it interesting to know just how many people think the same way as me and would prefer Kixeye to leave this site working. All I hear about the Kixeye Discord is how many people are getting banned for just speaking the truth or saying just one bad word or a Mod Assuming that someone is being sarcastic when in fact they are asking a genuine question. I bet no one from Kixeye will reply or even read this post.

    As being one of the moderators your support is still there and should still be available through the normal channels you are  using now. 
    As far as  what you have heard about the bans ,  There have been many people that have has multiple opportunities on the discord server and  by being banned means they have violated the rules of the server and discord multiple times. I can assure you the bans that are placed are well justified for multiple violates of the rules. We do not ban just to ban. 

    As far as discord services you can reach out to me or any one of the moderators and we will try and assist you the best we can to get adjusted and transitioned over to the discord server.

    I can assure you, the one bad word is often several horrible things, and the truth, is often beating a dead horse or talking about topics that are clearly things that can't be discussed in the Discord or here in the forums, and are outlined in the community rules as things that are not to be discussed. People who are punished for breaking the rules often try to make it seem like all they did was a little innocent act, but as Darkshadows has said, we do not ban without giving several warnings. 

    As for the site itself, it is not going anywhere. You'll still be able to play the game here and access the support site, but the community functions will be moving to Discord, which offers so many more ways to interact with members of the community.

    Kixeye does not need nor have access to that information. This is Discord asking for this information. It is something called two factor authentication they are wanting . This is a measure to protect your discord account.

    My humble advice is to go to HTTPS://Discord.com/privacy#the-information-we-collect and please read the terms listed there under "The Information we Collect" and also, "How we use your information" and "How we share your information". Provided only to allow each player the opportunity to make an informed choice. Thank you.

    I don't hecking use discord, and most of us not using discord lmao.. this is a bad idea. Your players r blind if u have a new updates Goodluck on that lol

    Wondering if the mods and kix folks took into account that a large majority of people playing this game tend to do it while at work and depending on the persons employers  the Discord , Telegram, and other chat server protocols are blocked for some.. I know most banks, law enforcement, factory and medical folks aren't able to reach discord, telegram and other various chat engines.  Just throwing this out there since I know I block all chat programs in my environment since its a open hole for the business I work for.. One that I wont open either since the platform isnt worth the risk assessment  and compliance review for my employer.

    if your employer is concerned about blocking various chat apps/sites .... I am sure they would not be thrilled to know their employees are playing vid games when on the 'clock'

    you can always use your cell phone to access the needed info, unless you work in a high security environment that even block cell phone access (and if that secure ... please re-read my above line about playing video games on company time

    on the brightside .... assuming the company has not blocked access, you can still 'play' the game as you did before

    while I have been on discord for years, I do prefer the forum .... but adjusting is easy enough

    SHOCKER, that you would offhandedly dismiss someone's post because they aren't the trained seal you are! SLSfoever has several valid points but because you are obviously an unemployed **** that does nothing but troll these forums, you feel your suck-up opinions matter! Well, they don't!     my 'offhanded' comments come from my yrs of being the 'guy' that actually blocked access, with a few keystrokes from my office, was so simple to do ....... some companies hold high standard to the access of their 'proprietary information' and deem some things a risk

    but thanks for calling me out

    The forums aren't shutting down. They are moving to a different platform. There will still be forums. They will just not be here.

    that's still shutting down for those that don't want or cant have or struggle with discord. we pay a lot of money for you guys to run this game and you kick us in the teeth by closing down this forum platform. speaking of money, i have sent in numerous tickets regarding you guys screwing me out of gold and refusing to refund me. over 3 months and still no satisfactory response from you guys. get your act together while you still have paying customers to keep you all in work Ticket number 4911010 and number 4916083. my tickets keep getting marked as solved but they are not. regarding your claim about discord having more users, just look at how many people read the pinned posts you guys make, over 3,300 read the post about the current event. that 3,300 people you cut off from game info. you claim to listen to us so prove it and keep these forums open

    only the forum side of KXL is going away, support pages,the game and the other parts of KXL will remain intact

    So let me understand.
    You will change the forum to discord and it will cease to exist, right?
    I was banned on discord, so does that mean that I won't even have access to the calendar and event information?
    And yes, I was banned from discord simply for complaining about company rules that were not being followed, for example about racism and xenophobia.
    But instead of taking action against these discriminatory acts, the company chose to ban me from discord, as it was easier and more convenient.
    Again, congratulations Kixeye.
    You are destroying the possibilities that players have to have a minimum of information.

    So many posts using Discord's "Terms of Service", it is obvious that Kixeye has effectively "washed their hands" clean of speaking out against concerns with  the game and it's consequences. The remaining two-three week response time on support tickets, having them closed only to find out your matter or concerns isn't crucial to the game. A dream come true for some, "you're banned BUT it wasn't us". Absolute power corrupts, absolutely. Seems what they are after are "followers" who will praise the game and salivate on their words. Noticed that this hasn't been shared too many times, HTTPS://Discord.com/privacy#the-information-we-collect, this will explain, in detail how your information can and will be used by Discord. But please remember, "it's them, not us". And Google doesn't sell your information either, right?!

    this thread is basically old people complaining about change they cannot fathom will happen in 2022.  (Discord of which is super easy to navigate unless you cant read) 

    you know which game also has its discord servers?  World of Warcraft 

    all gamers/gaming platforms use discord for communication. to the complainers, welcome to the technological era

    Oi Oi Oi im old  :D  ive used discord in the past and its easy to navigate, had no issues with it and for  those saying that they are worried about security, asking for phone number etc, well so does almost every other app you have. Also if you download on desktop pc it only asks for email verification, same as every other site.

    not true you banned me from discord for being asinine and foolish lol didnt receive any warning at all ! you just didnt like what i had said :)
