I had a rockslide on a lvl 14 turret  and tried to swap it to a lvl 15 turret that had a splinter. It said I was overpowered so I tried to swap it back and it said I was still overpowered. How could that happen? I had plenty of base power before the attempted swap.

More info...I refit 3 rockslides with heavy ballistic shells. The 4th rockslide was on a lvl 14 turret so I decided to swap it with a splinter on a lvl 15 turret. The splinter swapped over just fine but when I tried to rebuild the 4th rockslide it said I was overpowered. so, I put the splinter back on the lvl 15 turret but it wouldn't let me put the rockslide back on the lvl 14 turret. I had to remove the 3 heavy ballistic shells just to get the 4th rockslide back. Now I can't even add 1 heavy ballistic shells. Where did my power go? My base is exactly like it was last night but my power is gone.

this game is done--the end--kixeye is 1 sided--bases with fully equiped lvl 11 turrets cannot even damage 1 conquerer to 50 percent---**** you kixeye--and my wasted years trying to build a base--there is no sense even using turrets cause they dont do **** anyways

I had enough base power to add the new wall last night.

Anyway, issues in this game are never resolved so I just wasted another turret for a pt-transformer to get my power back. Unreal.

I did. I didn't have a problem until I tried to swap turrets. It wouldn't even let me put it back to the way it was.

lack of base power is the most annoying feature of this game, I do not know 1 pirate that likes this,
trying to simplify the game to make it easier for the programmers just annoys your players with a lack of what we could do before

The problem is you're swapping specials on the turrets to make them more powerful, and by doing so you're using more base power. UAVs are power hungry, especially when you try to put on Heavy Ballistic Shells. This is the cause of your "overpowered" conundrum. That along with the new gate and the array of new specials you've likely put in your base.

You can resolve this by getting more base power or by altering what you have in your base to suit. Base power is meant to be restrictive, otherwise everyone would just have the best of the best and we wouldn't be able to hit bases.

That isn't what happened. I removed a rockslide and specials from a lvl 14 turret and replaced it with a splinter and specials. It worked. I then removed a splinter from a lvl i5 turret and tried io install the rockslide and specials that I just removed from the lv l4 turret. It said I was overpowered. I tried to put it back the way it was and it was still overpowered. How did that happen? I had to use a pt transformer to get it back to the way it was.

It will have been from the changes you made, that's all there is to it. There's no conspiracy, kixeye aren't stealing your base power, you will have changed something that took more power and then when you went to make what you thought was an original change, you didn't have enough reserve base power to do so.

You need to look closely at the changes you made and find the base power losses. But as you've noted, you've added an extra PT to fix it, so really that should be the solution as I noted above, "Get more base power".

    Complete nonsense.
It depends what your specials are that you put on the turret.  I have several level 14 rockslides.  One example has 3 armor plates= 2775 power used.
Cadmium panel adds 200 power capacity plus 200 max power.  Ballistic recoil suppressor 20% weapon power consumed,  zynthium powercells 75% power consumed, turret is 120k power.  My total power usage is 236k out of 250k power.  If you use the recoil suppressor you can't add the heavy ballistic shells as it's a duplicate with ballistic damage.  Another example has rad isotopes for projectile speed, heavy bal shells and and the 10% reload special that is so outdated bell bottom pants might come back, total power is 227k although will change it.  You also can't add the critical chance/dmg special EM rails 4 as it won't work with the UAVs.  Viewing total base power and be mindful that the new gate, turrets, or anything drains that power.   As MDB said above Get more base power.

Its the crap code that has been stepped on my idiots from Glitcheye because it has been written and rewritten to keep up with the game. They patch it together to keep the money flowing to them because they are too lazy to fix the game the right way. It has been happening for years and since the newer owners never concerned them as long as it was supplying revenue.
It also explains why people's bases have errors when they load their bases and the base defense fleet moves on its own because "it touches" a land tile or something else. Its an ongoing issue Glitcheye is not concerned with as long as it don't affect the whales who finance the game otherwise it would be fixed ASAP.

you have to remove specials before you can refit more. otherwise, the base power shows what you are using without a special/turret removed and then adds the ppower of the new spec/turret you are tryiing to fit. hope that helps.
you keep whining like me but we are still here, i love broken pixels, how about you

This is all pretty funny. So many people trying to tell me that I did something wrong and it was my fault, and even imagining conspiracy theories.  lol My guess is that it was a glitch. My base power is gone and that's just the way it is. The fact is, I had to add a pt transformer just to get back to where I was. I tried things that I didn't mention here...Like removing the 3 HBS and reinstalling the suppressors.and it still wouldn't let me restore my previous build...I even removed the weapons from my gates the squeeze out a little more power...No dice. Still overpowered. You guys need to remember...I had plenty of power before the attempted swap. When I tried to restore what I had, I could only put one special on the rockslide without going over.  I'm not expecting anything to come from this so there is no use in debating it. :)

As mentioned previously, there would have been an accidental special swap when moving things around that caused it. If you add up all of uses of base power in your base I am sure you will find it is all there and accounted for.

Since this doesn't seem to be going anywhere, I am going to close it.
