What's the point of hitting higher level thorium bases?

I seen higher level thorium bases recently that hit the maximum thorium gap of 50 million thorium but don't seem to offer anything new besides being more difficult (especially the thorium cave), but am I wrong? Do higher bases offer a deposit overflow like oil/metal deposits?

    increase your thor storage or just dont attack the higher thor levels

    I'm not talking about my thorium storage I just noticed there's level 65 - 85 thorium bases that all offer 50 million thorium, is there any difference between them?

    no they just vary in difficulty

    Wish there were Thorium Depots on the map that trickled thorium in the base like Oil & Metal depots.. 
    Maybe some massive Thorium Depots that trickle thorium to all alliance members for a certain duration..
    Advanced Materials as well.. Helps everyone, and promotes people to login the game more.. Work together..
    Just a thought! Think how hard alliances would fight over massive thorium depots, and to protect them :wink:

    Thor 55 and 75 easy and fast with just aces... damage taken ...absolutly but done under a minute.... that people today still complain about thorium....

    I am not complaining about getting Thorium for myself. I've been doing level VI thorium bases that give me 100 mil with a 5 min repair. 
    Here's a rhetorical question for you though..
    "How many times do you hear people in your alliance asking for help to get them thorium?"
    Imagine, one massive (extremely high level) thorium base in the center of each sector.
    It could produce around 1 million thorium per hour for a month to "ALL" alliance members in that sector! 
    Now ask yourself two questions..
    1.) Would your alliance be strong enough to defeat the thorium base?
    2.) Would your alliance be strong enough to defend it from other alliances? 
    It would cause all out war in most sectors, and small alliances would join larger alliances. 
    This could also be a way to show dominance in a sector for your alliance, if you can defend it!

    The lower levels are easier. It's just like hitting any base, the lower they are the easier they are.

    Pretty much its to beat the grind of hitting same base over n over. You get to test yaself at harder bases, but thats just my opinion on it lol

    Well guys, I think the massive thorium base is a good idea, but before we add anything new, let's give them a chance to get what we already have fixed. 
    That which we persist in doing becomes easier. Not that the nature of the thing has changed, but that our power to do has increased.

    in the days of oil/metal depots all the sectors wars was all about that 
    war 24/7 with mega tank and paladins 

    So true :) But Kix moved away from it which is a shame. Chat used to be like "Blah Blah stole my thor depo" another said "take it back and flat him" then the snowball effect and war was on lmao

    yes but also make fight same sector allied alliances. :)

    Hit the lvl55 thor bases. Only need 4 or 5 aces. Easy.
