Firstly: Battle Pirates needs to regain trust from players, its been a cold year. Considering HTML5 and its December Date are just around the corner, there is no improvement to the format, while new content gets heaped. Its not helpful or encouraging at all if the best of the picks only always goes to a select circle of plyers who seemingly "Blacklist" players according to own views.
Secondly: A Mod position should not over extend itself into its ridiculous allowed amount of time. Mods should be swapped out every 4 months. Given the position does entail the need for "Game Professionalism" its time to start handing the reigns off. Players will see this change. No more than 2 consecutive (4month) terms. at the least its a way to rid a seemingly growing list of distrust with the favouritism falling only unto those select few. Can't tell me Lips are hushed, when there's a conflict of Interest.
Third: Player Contribution and Recognition should be a priority. Some one like DerpyTheCow who has been making tireless efforts not only here on forums, but shares the wisdom by you tube, in comparison to the constant nay saying Mods. But Battle Pirates simply passes a player by, without ever benefitting that Player. Tells people allot when even the game wont recognize one of the most Iconic and Recognizable Players in the game itself, its disheartening.
Fourth: End the bobble headed Mod Monopoly of Yes Folks by a group which clearly provides no help at all, and only enjoys the kickbacks for a select group. Want people to feel more connected to Battle Pirates? Give them the power to control a part of its direction. Mods Should be Voted for. Simply Said. A previously served Mod, could run again after what would have been a third term.
Now I bet this will be one of the most Hated Posts! But I spoke my mind. I got Plenty more .. 8 years worth.

The three mods we currently have do a pretty good job for their availability and their task. If you have to rotate out mods every 4 months you would run out of anyone even remotely capable and willing of being around a year in.
I speak with a few of the mods in the discord general chat quite often, and they are there to help players and share knowledge (generally speaking at least). Templar and Laredo have been two of the ones on here a long time, and have a few thousand form posts/comments/replies between them. I disagree with your characterization of mods as "nay saying", I find them to be quite helpful and willing in their own ways.
I think the idea of mod term limits is funny, but as soon as examined seriously falls short. (But hey, that's just my opinion).
When I am not helping people on forums, and I'm not banned, I run a YouTube channel. I focus on actually helping players in the game. I respond to every comment on there, so it is the best way to find me. If you want more info click the link below.

now that's the beauty of a free range post, gets people talking and it should be more widely done. don't cut yourself too short Derpy, your an undervalued asset to this game after all, pretty sure you would do well as a Mod, probably set a new Bar for other Mods yet too. Pretty sure most would agree on various points from both of our sides. However, its change, and it should be seen with more enthusiasm, A Mod term limit also shuffles the board, after a 2nd term, its a cool off period. Plenty more and much in the players pile with others just as knowledgeable as current Mods. Keeps it fresh and crispy so to say, if things get stirred more often.
PS:If it was all so great and there was no hinderances or problems, these conversations wouldn't even be taking place, and im sure you can or will see that.
It is the same player every time i have made it on most of who are mods and most mods are in the same Alliance so can't tell me they don't leak info to their Alliance
For the record, we have 3 MODs, they are in 3 different alliances.

might be now but most where in SDS7
For the record, I can come up with 15 moderators offhand.
Of those 15, only 2 of them were ever members of SDS7.
Sure, they were both there at the same time. And the majority of the time that they were both members there were also 2 that were not.

Yes, I am one. And The_Vengeul_One was the other. Neither of us were ever leaders or even LTs in any alliance. If that is what you are asking.
