many players are high level returning players, the truth is they are actually out gunned by the lower level players. i'm a lvl 102, but i get flattened by lvl 50 players. level means nothing these days. When i get hit i think of the bubble as a good thing, i get to upgrade in peace for a while.
OK, so you've been around for 8 years, you may have done the L50 thing, idk. End of the day, the training wheels come off, & you've got to ride in the adult's lane.
That being said:
It sucks being worked over, sure, you could have a swipe back with whatever (not like that fleet's repair will interfere with PvE fleets repairs) but over time, it'll get better as you get better tech to defend yourself
Watch your replays, see what's working, how your hitter hits you (is he a fool & charges in, or slowly picks you apart?) & don't moan about the level thing, because they'll likely trash you again for the tears, but don't be shy to ask for pointers.
If you think 136 is bad? LOLZ, there are quite a few 150s out there that I'm sure are having a little snigger at this, wondering where you might be
Oh, at your level? I was watching quite a few replays in my base that were like BP's funniest failures, & some of them were at the 130+ mark. I was even tested by a 140 with Subjugators (when they were new) & he was locked at 40%, & stuck in an HT blindspot. Suffice to say, he bailed, & said 'Good base'
Watch other hits too, you may see base designs that you like, or ask folks locally to have a look at yours and ask what can be done to improve things.
If you opted in to do bounty then your fair game. Players need to hit the safe point fast or they will be hit and lose. And then along comes mayhem Monday and people want their alliance points and don't want to be worried about repairing so chit happens. The only thing I would suggest is to leave your dock outside the base probably at far right. That way you can at least continue using your fleets. Most players just want points so wont run down your dock. Also at level 80+ every 2 days you need to be doing the daily reaver tide campaign to win the chests, not for the resources but for the tokens you can get from them. Free 1 hour building repairs etc. This game hasn't been about what level you are for a while now. I have watched battles in low level bases and they have great set ups and fleets to hit back with so either get on with it, enjoy the game or just stop playing.

There are also fleet repair tokens to be had from those chests randomly, great during raids, ESPECIALLY if you have a GM crew to hand

It's about what you get done here.
This is the only game I have ever played where level does NOTHING.
