It's a bit misleading to only use the 106 drop rate given how the 104 will have half the stuff and have lower drop rates.

That's the point - it's to highlight how much farming you need to do even after making such underestimations. I'll add a note the further clarify that.
The new player guide mentions getting liberators to mk V. But only ever mentions mkIII again.
