FLYING DUTCHMAN crap prize list sorry, nothing there what im need. thx for save money. Pretorians without any armor have less damage (28min) then with armor (1h28min) at the 131s. that is a bad joke. same now with ZM-1 and ZX-1 at the 137s. and he realy said (it depends on the build + armor + target.)
your praets without armor do a 131 for 28 min damage ???? you must be a master builder cause i saw top players of the game get around 40 min with a full build fleet.would like to see a vid or the build.
well if his unarmoured praets take less damage than the ones with the zm-1 and zx-1 armour on them then that also proves that the armours are not working.

to be honest,i not believe his praets without any armor take a 131 for 28 min damage only.there are many vids and builds from top players and fleet builders on fb pages or on youtube and i not saw anything like that before.maybe he found THE way to set fleet up right, idk.would be nice to see the build
Ghillie-since we are getting only silence from the Game Designers and Kixeye in general about the Isotope armors NOT WORKING on Praetorians at least, is there any chance you can get them to break their silence on this issue? This is a bit sad they refuse to address this issue. Many of us, including myself have wasted both Gold and Tokens to fit this armor to Praetorians only to find it does NOTHING-ZERO to help them and actually can RAISE REPAIR TIMES because we remove the D7, D6 armors to put them on. Why there is so much silence on issues is hard to understand, but seem to be typical.
Sorry I didn't see your message until after I responded to a couple qs above. Honestly, there is no easy answer on these questions. I'm chatting with the team about approach, but the short answer is that it depends on the build + armor + target.
Ghillie-I do realize this isn't your fault. BUT=this DOES NOT answer the question in any way. This I would take as a cop out. There is ZERO question these armors ARE NOT WORKING as we were told-PERIOD. Many of us, including myself spent tokens, gold and TIME to refit these armors to our Praetorians only to be told, essentially we won't answer your question. All of us deserve an answer on this. This is very irritating spending tokens and money and getting NOTHING for it.
So, if you don't have Silverfish, you are basically relegated to hitting the lowest value target ?
Nice work of alienating some of your players......AGAIN !
BRAVO !!!
Not trying to defend Kixeye here but why don't you have Silverfish? Are you a new player? You have a join date in 2012. How do you not have any of these when they have been out for months?
Enemy ships getting hung up, and not pathing as they were in earlier prize packs.
i noticed that also. also, either the damage increased or the survivability of the npc ships was increased because previously, in the first 4 mastery rounds, i was able to get my u3 sats + flag halfway into encounter #7 before they died. today on the final round, they only got halfway into encounter #6 and died.
luckily, i have the free saturn fleet kix gave us as back-up, but today it nearly died trying to complete half of encounter 6 and all of encounter 7, where before the same fleet only took a couple hours damage finishing up half of encounter #7. and, as you say, the pathing was completely different from all previous runs of the same campaign.
i was able to complete the campaign, but there was definitely a huge difference between today and the rest of the week before it.
As a developer myself I can say that an accuracy based weapon must and will only hit a single target and it's obviously coded to hit the closest target or in the case of enemies with Priority targeting the ship with the least amount of armor. It has to work this way. The only way damage is spread evenly is if the weapon doesn't do direct damage and only does aoe damage.
While it's possible to code the enemy to target any random ship in it's range, doing so would lead to being not being able to focus the damage on your tank ship (with good driving) and that would completely take the skill out of the game, and leave us at the mercy of the RNG.
What they've done (in layman's terms) is just told the enemies that if the fleet is perfectly stacked that the closest target in the stack will be the ship in the #1 slot instead of the #5.
I don't get why they felt the need to make this change, but that's the jist of how it works on the back end.
do you need the suppressor for these targets? If so, what are you using it for? Do you hit the dutchman with it? I'm seeing most ppl use just a silverfish fleet in 10's and 14's.

The Suppressor does absolutely Nothing to the big Green ship.

"I don't get why they felt the need to make this change, but that's the jist of how it works on the back end"
Pretty simple,,,KIX saw that people were hitting the high targets and after every hit, they were rotating ship #5 out, this way they could hit say 4-5 targets before repair,,,,NOW, with this change, rotating ships out is not possible, ship #1 cannot handle but so many targets before it has to be repaired,,,, Plain & simple, this is a coin grab by KIX !!!!
But I am sure the player base will find a way around this as the players are smarter then KIX,,,,,
What a joke the Flying Dutchman is. Last event was perfect and you really took it to the next level with this event. Your agenda is very clear. Tone it down give us at least 1 fun event instead of everything being about money. Really dont like the direction the game is going need to look for another game.
I took a Suppressor into a 14 - it did nothing. Why does it say we need it? In the meantime it takes forever to kill the big green with flag and silvers. Total drag!
Flying Dutchman is a bust for me. Did 50k in points from hitting the top 3 targets (Silverfish only). Damage runs about 1h, 2h, 4.5h respectively for the 10, 14, & 55 targets. Bought an Assault chest and looked at what's in it. Pretty much older tech, and zero for the Pegasus.
Done with the Dutchman event as being pointless and unhelpful.
The only way I see we as players can get around this. Is to build yet another Praetorian. Only then we'll have the ability to rotate ships. Down side of this is more build time being used and we'll lose Frenzy and Special abilities. Plus with the Isotope armors arent working = coin grab
Flying Dutchman mini event was over for me when Kix released the prize list or lack of. So we need to go out and get X amount of points. Pick a chest and cross our fingers and toes to get something we can use.
So, if you don't have Silverfish, you are basically relegated to hitting the lowest value target ?

To be fair in his defense he may not have been able to get them or chose not to cause even I don't have them but i stopped playing a lot of the raids and haven't been focusing on them period so again he may not have tech means to get them without buying them
Hard to find anything positive from this event, Personally Im not keen on skirmish. Theres little skill involved. You cant kite, outrange or out manouever anything, its just a slow grind to the finish. Bats/Razors had some limited "fun" moments. Silverfish much less. This Dutchman event has followed the same pattern, Our ships are inneffective. The enemys HP is too high. Net result we kill each other in a death of a 1000 paper cuts. Yawn. Make the driving time half, or halve the enemy HP or double our weapons DPS and I might consider playing it as a bit of fun. Fortunately the prize list means I dont need much, so no loss sitting out. Its a little annoying/dissapointing? that when weve got some big current issues in the game, they arent getting fixed because....html5, yet some resource were assigned to this? and worse, this is someones idea of "fun".
YOU (company kixeye stilleye) run a "Special" event that offers "Chests" that MAY or PROBABLY NOT contain items that the player needs, AND have guaranteed damage in the targets (instead of free repair for top tier (aka silverfish) targets and expect US the players to participate = NO from me thanks but no thanks....
Seriously? Cause that worked out so great for EA right?
This is meant to be a fun event, and a trick-or-treat sort of setup. This isn't the normal prize setup, but there are opportunities for some goodies... or some tricks. The aim is for there to be a little something for everyone.
I did a 10, then a 14. After them, I checked my repairs. 1h25m for ships 1-4 combined, plus another 1h30m on ship 5. I swapped ships 3 and 5, then did another 14. Damages at this point showed #3 and #5 with about the same damage. 5h5m repair on the fleet. 5 hours repair for less than 15 minutes of play is not what anyone calls fun. I could have done 2 more 14s, if I swapped the fifth ship for the second and forth positions, then repaired overnight, but nope. I'm pretty sure I'm done with this event.
I'm tryin hit a 14 got 3h 37m rep ye i drive my boat bad ye i build my boat bad ye i used crap armor ( tho i have new X armor on this fleet) ye its all my fault
cuz im bad at the game im just gonna go fishing and find my own flyin dutchman on the sea later pirates have fun with the exploiting game
I really don't want to put words in the mouths of the game designers on this event. But I will be honest-I would like to know what you were thinking on this event. For an advanced player there is essentially nothing for us to make doing this event be worth the damage taken. None. Virtually all of the tech offered I already have OR I simply have no use for. Why would someone take HOURS of damage in these targets for a CHANCE at a few prizes like skins? Many of the Rogue Crews you are offering don't work. I mean simply they are BROKEN-you guys KNOW THIS FOR A FACT. There are just a few of them that actually function. I noticed you don't offer the Grease Monkey-if you offered that=more would play-guaranteed. What about Demolition Squad? More would play. Rethink these prizes and add ones of value for more advanced players and maybe we might take part in this.
Got home from work and paid to get some coins on my account then went on game and all my friends told me about the change in the ship targeting. Talk about feeling like a sucker. Well if this isn't rolled back you've just received the last dollar you'll EVER get out of me. Instead of fixing the problem you just multiplied it by 10. When coins are gone so am I Kixeye can run a dead game for all I care. Merry Christmas in the unemployment line you deserve all that you get.
What a croc of **** this game has become! I have started a new profile and as soon as you reach level 5, which means you have farted while moving the mouse, you get all these building and ship 'gifts' that boost you to level 42. So in essence BP starts at level 42. Shoot that **** who came up with this stupid idea. SMH.
So, if you don't have Silverfish, you are basically relegated to hitting the lowest value target ?

Fair questions mate.
I just recently returned to the game about 4 months ago after a 1 year hiatus. Have been trying to get caught up on older fleets as tokens allow. Goons fully built, 5th Praetorian is just finishing up, Nemis built and ranked and partially fitted out. The free Saturns helped in this process. And then there are upgrades to most of those mentioned. I have 3 vanilla Silverfish and the flag built and ranked so far, with 2 vanillas fitted out. Silverfish build tokens have been a bit scarce since I have returned, when they are offered, its usually just 5 tokens available at that time.
My first 3 boxes were either upgrade kits and build tokens for nemesis and saturn.. For crying out loud.. my fleets are already fully upgraded.. Why would I waste time on this ghostly event? Might as well park the boats and do some running.
