Only thing that gonna really hit anyone  is the foul mouth in chat.   Really need someone that can suspended  that coz by those parties who start it AS of now the world chat is so unbearable to see how many peeps shouting and foul mouthing against players  like a child with no manners, I would disjust that they should have someone in chat to monitor that Crap. So when we shirk in less sector  we gonna see a lot in reg Comm chat  and no one gonna like it period  and that 1 reason we like those quiet sector  so we can talk without those loud idiot that have no respect for other in the game.
my ignore button is very much used, so no big problem there.Besides that you can shrink the pop-up or put down your glasses, close your eyes ,even not play a battle game at all if your so fine at hart.

with the new format for consolidating sectors, they are in a sense cramming us in like sardines, this will not work, 3000 players per sector or 30 diff full alis per sector, this just will not work, 4/5 of the game board gonna go byebye. wowowow. i was expecting 50% of game but this is just to much.
So you honestly believe there are still 300000 players playing? Hmmmmm Pretty sure this isn't the case. I think you are way overestimating how many people are left, and are making a big deal out of nothing. This is by far the best change they have suggested in the past 2 years.
No the best thing would have been to just close 1 world and consolidate from 5 to 4 and get rid of the deadwood. They could have left the sectors that actually have 4-5 active allis and independants alone

Except that you could really kill off two worlds and it would essentially still be empty in a lot of places. The truth is, there are probably more banned/dead bases than actual player bases. And that's not necessarily all because we've lost players. A lot of banned bases were 20-30 deep at a time in some sectors...from one guy or group....now many sectors have so many dead bases players can't really spawn where they want to.

The consolidation was needed and it should be just fine. It sucks that old sectors will now have new people...but it is what it is..

in old days there were sectors with 3000 players, sometimes it was 3 weeks to get into those sectors. But comms were buzzing and sector wars were a week long event

In the old  days the game used to be fun but now well its just a dream kix lost their way to the almighty coin and this fiasco just proves how many people are really playing. After this crap they can prob reduce it even more to 10 sectors cause they gonna lose their azz on this one.

back in those days there were no chores, just mines and salvs.

Alos do you want to go back to not being able to jump into a sector?

What exactly are they going to lose their **** on? The already have dead sectors that no one plays in? The sectors filled with banned bases?

But hey, let's poo poo any idea that increases more bases, more pirates, and more players in similar areas. The game has issues and is declining, but this is not a negative item at all.

Maybe with less sectors there will be less lag?

The stress on the Kix servers will defo go down, but not necessarily on our laptop/pc.
    Here's the problem...
Not all sectors are loaded on your laptop/pc when u log in.
The sector you're in is what loads and eats memory and cpu/gpu power. When u travel to another sector there is a loading screen, so that sector now loads.
But with each sector having many more players, my guess is lag will go up because of that.

I could be wrong as to how this stuff works tho..
I hope you are wrong, but I fear you are right...

The number is certainly beyond 300 players per sector. The idea was to level out activity. Some sectors are buzzing with activities while others were more sparse. The sector collapse has two pieces. Tomorrow when this goes live if you are a packed sector you won't see much change in activity, but spacing and screen clutter should be reduced. Next week there will be another deploy that will further address spacing of targets to make the screen even more pleasing to the eye. As far as lag reduction, while it certainly could and should help lower speed connected players, I do not think this will be an appreciable improvement for LPBs, but by no means will it make it worse.
Ok, here is a little clarification about this.

He mixed up his Tuesdays, on Tuesday 6 Nov he will be doing a live stream at 4ish PM Cali time to explain the details of this.

What does 4ish mean, it means its not a hard time like a TV show.

there will really be no need to increase spawn rates as those inactive bases that are going to be removed don't spawn targets;  so that aspect of the new consolidation just proves that the "company" has no idea of what is going on.   Have to just say this HAHAHAHAHA   complete and utter bullchit

    Once again "smoke and mirrors"
you really need to learn maths !!!!its nothing to do with dead bases they have nothing to do with spawn rates of ANYTHING bases have to be active not just players bases they are REMOVING 80% of the sectors along with those sectors will also go all those sectors ssrbs their uranium and titanium and basepart spawn slots !!!!!! so an 80% reduction in their availability !!!!!! so yes their spawn tates and potentialy adding more ssrbs will be needed !!!

ty for point out my obvious math mistake, it will be 300 per sector. edited to reflect
That number, while not the number of BP players, is a good indicator.

I ran some tests during events -- had some friends logon, participate in the event, hit one target and earn only a few points.

They then checked the Leader Board - with only a couple of points, they'd be near the bottom of the list.

They'd finish about 22,000th for most events -- meaning there were 21,999 players ahead of them on the leader board -- to get on the leader board, you had to be an active player -- so about 22,000 active players participating in that event.

The last event, only had about 10,000 participants.

so while that number isn't accurate, it's a good barometer of how things are going. It overstates the actual number of active players. Leader Board are a good way to see how many players are participating. Those numbers have been trending downward -- but no surprise, all the recent events have been pretty bad, nothing new or interesting about them -- designed just to do lots of damage to try and increase coin-coin from repair. Not about fun gameplay, just monetization of every aspect of everything.

that would be accounts not players, you have to consider the number of active players with alt accounts

That sounds just like what a whale would say. how much you want to bet they lose 1,000 -2,000+ players care to make a wager mate cause I know of like 50 ready to quit and this might just be what does it . they should start at 50 sectors per world and reduce if needed from there but kix knows best like always.

Here is the way I see it. If you don't like the changes that are announced then don't stay. If you are still here to play because you are making the decision to stay, then be willing to try some change. People sound like the sky is falling with every announcement in this game, give it a try first, and when it doesn't work out, then complain. With every change, there is a chance to mess something else up, but there is also a chance that you will adapt to enjoy the change, at least give it a try.

I would never have dreamed I would like raw fish, but lo and behold, I tried it with an open mind and now it is another meal I really enjoy eating. And with that, I am out, going to play Farmville........just kidding.

Ok, so, any chance of getting more "ignore" slots available?  I see Sector Comms becoming much like World Comms are now with foul-mouthed comms warriors that I want no part of.  :'(:'(

LoL @ Whale... not even close cupcake...

But hey...let those 1-2000 people quit.... they're probably the same idiots that keep talking about how they have a life...or this or that...and yet still complain about EVERYTHING good or bad in this game.

If you dont like the game... QUIT. Do us all a favor and just quit. I play dozens of different games across Playstation, Xbox, and PC. You don't have to spend your time or money on things you dont like. If you have built quality friendships....than go play with those people on other games...

Why worry about sectors at all just delete all in active players regardless how long they have been online with there dead bases and or money spent, Is there problem not all players because they decide to play when ever they choose too. Thank You

Actually, I was a military man, albeit briefly. So was most of my family, my ex-wife, most of my close personal friends as well. Living in mommy's basement?

Sounds like I hit pretty close to the mark...so save us all the hype and go eat your crayons..

One of the nice things at the moment is there are times when the sector just has its usual residents, then others when sector is full. this gives variety and an opportunity to see old fends as there alliances move round the sectors . This may cause a problem if sectors are going to be full.
