An interesting tactic for Phoenix fleets is to use a Gutspill Skyfire tank as a flag and have it draw fire. I can do a full T7 set for about an hour damage.
For many years, players could grind the lowest raid target(s) with just about any fleet. That would allow them to get raid prizes that would help advance them in their game. They couldn't get all that much but every little bit helped. Somewhere along the line kix ramped up their greed factor and now you need the best of the best to even do raid and take four hours damage per target to go with it. Can't even help others get everything they need as it costs too much and prepping is out of the question now with such lengthy repairs.
You can do T6 sets easily with last year's fleets for about half the repair you are citing. So....players can still grind the lowest targets and get enough points to win a little bit.
For a level 9 player you have a lot of opinions.......TROLL!

kinda but not really. could not get any decent level prizes that way, except in the first year or two - and then it was grinding for 40 hours over the 4 days. Can you imagine people on here now grinding out 40 hours in 4 days. They complain when they have to put in more than an hour in a day.
these days, with the top fleet you can knock out the top raid prize on day one, without spending a single coin. even within the first couple hours on day one, without spending a single coin. yes, you might take a few hours of repairs after hitting a couple targets, but that gets you a huge number of points towards the top prizes.

admittedly you could probably do it within 3 hours with just caedes.
lol i dont cal getting 40 mil to be all the top prizes that wont even get u the new spec next raid,for the top prizes next raid u will need over 150 mil. plan and simple raid sux for most players and u and some others seem to only be here to upset ppl have not seen 1 helpful comment from u.if u think playin for 40 min then repairin for 8 hours is a fun game then i guess your in the right spot.
This prize system really sucks I wanted manti tokens but most of them are behind the locked store and don't have enough to open the store and the ships...kixeye get rid of the stupid system please or put more token on the outside for everyone to reach..

Been doing the same thing with the skyfires but in the T6, can do 65s all day, the other 2 .. about 10 before repair or 2-4min repair between each one, so it's all about seat time. have clocked up 85mil this way so far...
of course I stuff it up occasionally and have a longer repair but that flag is gold, when grinding I only repair the flag and it keeps the rest at 75%
ok KIXEYE, you win, after 6 yrs the game is not only hard for us old people[[70+]] you now make it impossible to use older fleets. can not afford to buy new tech. so I will just give up. pretty sad when a bucc fleet can't do a 61 in the raid
thats cuz it has the wrong defenses and is the complete wrong ship for this.... phoenix or skyfire is what u need for older ships or of course manticores is better but im guessing u dont have those... but ur using the wrong stuff so i wouldnt expect it to work;)
I cannot even kill a level 5 41 site with Phoenix ships. How do you expect the smaller player to participate in these? I am NOT spending big money to buy better ships. $199.00 for a better fleet. If I had that much extra money it would be dinner and a movie, not playing this crap.

yeah there are a few issues with the build. Keep in mind though the escalation weapons should be coming out soon, so that will help on the weapon side. The two phalanx per ship is a wasted slot, but easy to replace. Agility system doesn't do much, and siege batt is only helping on the barges which ironicly are the only hulls from which missiles can be shot down. Replace those with optical tracking and carbon fiber casing. The guided missile sys replace with frontline counter.You also need to add armor to those. The CiC you obviously are aware about as well. If you want anymore help pm me buddy.

I had been gone for awhile and decided to come back to a FB game. Opened my BP account and it looked like things may have changed. I spent about $1000 buying the Dragons, Cannoneers, Ironclads and Tideseeker fleets. They allowed me to hit the lowest tiers in the FM event. I was able to get a lot of prizes. I got every hull offered. But don't you know it that none of those hulls are any good in the next (current) event. WTF is the point?? In order for me to make hulls that could help it will take about 5 months.WTF? I bought those Dragons assuming that they would be instrumental in procuring a flagship. Nope. Same as before. We spin our wheels and spend our gold but unless you spend unlimited gold you will never get anywhere in this game. PS: they say you can get Manticores for half price but they don't say where. You guys could make so much money in this game if you weren't so inexperienced. I want to spend money on this game but the managers have no clue. I want to spend money but I want something in return. So if you can't provide something, I will not buy anything. Til then, no more money for you, LOL

Manticore is half points not price. The BP for it is in the more prizes tab at the bottom of the raid prizelist.

i said top raid prize. there was no 's' on the end. i also was talking about this raid. not the next one. albeit it will be a cakewalk to get 150 million next raid too.
i would prefer to have to hit say 40 targets to get all the top prizes (note I did include the 's' this time). But I would not enjoy what you seem to be saying - to have short repair times therefore needing to be sitting at your computer hitting hundreds of targets to get the prizes.
Grinding sucks. It is vastly better to be able to hit relatively few hard damaging but high point scoring targets. In the old days it was literally grinding 8 hours a day to get the top prize (note, no 's' this time). Let alone getting multiple top prizes. (note 's' included this time).

I have zero points and am ranked 26,803rd globally. Which means that 26,803 players participated in this event.
In my sector, i'm still tied for 7th. With zero points. On my world, I'm 5,103rd.
Players with over 1 billion points: 15.
My gut feeling is that most players tried at least one target, to see what the difficulty level is like. So if we had 26,000 participating, I'd guess there are somewhere around 30,000 active players.
That's not very impressive for what should have been a very successful game.
Your sector must be pretty quiet, then. I have 288 million, and I'm 8th in sector.

I know my sector isn't typical... or is it? There are some very, very busy sectors, but it seems like just as many, if not more, with vast amounts of dead space.
I can't think of any simple way to get average stats for sectors, but I include that stat just to highlight how empty the game has become. If this were a successful, active game, then you'd expect zero points to be at least 100th place or lower. I doubt my sector is unique -- for every sector where 288 million is needed to be in the Top Ten, there are probably twice as many where zero will do the same thing.
I suggest getting a life and working from there....
