Perhaps I missed it, but I would like to know what is the rationale for changing Forsaken Missions on us after such a short period of time? I am trying to contain the cynic in me, and so I'd like to give the organization an opportunity to justify, explain, level with us on why the drastic changes to the FM. I took two years off from this game and returned in December to see a transformed game (for the better). As a result, I started playing again and spent freely because I felt that Kixeye had finally begun to listen, instead of the promises with little behind them that most of us had come to expect. Life was good.
Then over a the six months since, I began to notice the old Kixeye creeping back to forefront. While disturbing, it wasn't too off-putting to me because I was having fun and still felt that I was getting value in my outlay of cash. The sloppiness of the game became an issue and I opted out of a bounty and cut back on my spending, for what good it achieved, I am not sure. With this drastic change, I think I am leaning toward another hiatus from this game, perhaps permanently because between the sloppiness of this game and the over-the-top pendulum swings that make me feel like a sucker to continue pumping money into this game.
With that said, I and perhaps others really need to know the WHY for such change...what was the thought process. I have to know before I can continue or leave this game, but I think we should really get it straight.
Total madness, Im not sure who listens looks on these forums but think im done yes i will sign in chat with friends do odd thing i can but other than that im done kix you spoiled a good game
unless the new yet to be named replacement does less or same amount of damage as the 117 with the same points I'm done...Kix seems to have forgotten this is a GAME and meant to be FUN, not another gaddamned job, recent changes have dropped my logging on to less than a half hour a day and no longer spending money (haven't since you screwed everyone around 2 raids ago)..
If the Dragon is the "be all and end all" fleet for FM than they should be allowed in ALL FM targets. Remove the restriction that will not allow me to use my Dragons in the 111's As for removing the other targets...i dont really care anymore. I dont coin anything anymore and i never will. Kixeye, The moderators, the company as a whole does not care about us as customers....just our money. Until that starts drying up, we will have this greed pushed on us.
On a side note. I still truly believe that Kixeye is doing all this on purpose. They are trying to run all of the players off so that when they shut down the game, there will be very little if any backlash to them.
I was thinking the exact same thing- I was reminded of the dirty parlor tricks on Betelgeuse where they were waiting for their unwanted "living" guests to run screaming from the house.

Thanks and I hope there is a reply.
Reason/rationale behind fm changes : Monetization of the only aspect of the game that wasnt. They are a business and are trying to find every little nook of money they can.
the ignorance of this company is beyond fvcking belief!!! Since when did the FM become ever changing from month to month? Been playing 5 years, and mot til the last year did you complete morons, start messing with the FM weekly, if not monthly!!!! Knowing full well, that the players were told no changes for a year!!!! But that lasted only a few months, and now changes every month? I realize you are located in California, the biggest POS libtarded state in the USA, but when did you decide to use the Obama administrations rules for stupidity, as your own play book? Completely, absolutely, utterly PATHETIC POS's you are or have become!!!!
have you not noticed? ever since rampage started it been constant FM change every 1 to 2 weeks where it use to be 12 months
well.. this is bad ju-ju, I must say. I am glad I made the right descision and never got the ID, just the tech, and put it on my IB's. I do 89's for 2 min damg on auto and most of that coming from the missiles that get missed by the antis since the "bug fix". I was going to coin a bit and put in massive seat time to get the ID and flag to better my FM seat time, but now I am not. Going forward I will do the same as before, I get all chests and keep up on resets like gales and armors for free and that is enough. Thanks for the info so I can now go forward coin free in raid, get manti flag and some other tech and not worry about FM. I dont care about the PVP side anymore as that is a whole other coinfest that just doesnt pann out on either side. I can only recommend that others do as I do and use a mix of old and new tech to get anything done as free as possible and only worry about raid tech as that is where they really screw ya. Need minimum of tier 6 hulls to even start in raids as same problem devolops here as in FM, 40's targets only spawn ´near low level active players, and they are few and far between nowadays and dont have a payout worth trying for.Now I can concentrate on getting matis up to par and ranked for next month and some other refits to P-tides.

Rampage arrival has brought a lot of issues, especialy on the communication side (since he seem to care more about the WWE then he does his job or this game), but those decision werent his. The dev team made those decision, especially GDA who is no longer a developper at kixeye followed by GDR who continued on the same plan, and he also is no longer at kixeye.
Right now, we do not know who is the new Lead Dev, but most likely he is new and is just continuing on the same plan/direction until he can grasp it and make his own plan.
Sadly, CM's and Dev team member (especially senior ones) do not have a long life span at kixeye, so maybe this one wont last that long either, who knows.
With the introduction of Greta’s Inferno Dragon in the July Event, “Supremacy”, the team wanted to share with you the plan for changes to FM targets over the next three months.
Two new high-level targets are being introduced next week. They are the 120 and the 121. These targets are going to have the highest points payouts of any FM targets at 600k each. These targets will also drop shards for the Cheetah Scattergun and the Predator Missile. These targets are going to be restricted to ships of tier 6 and above. These targets do have the Draconian Anti-Charged Armor Tech, you will want Zynthonite Armor D5-XM for the best protection. The recommended fleet for these targets is a fleet of Inferno Dragons with Greta’s Inferno Dragon (flagship) at the lead.
The new 105 will be a high-level Blitz Target for the FM. This target will not be as challenging as the 120 & 121, but it’s recommended that you you bring at least a fleet of five Inferno Dragons to tackle this target.
We will not be removing any targets in July. The 117 target will be removed starting in the August FM, and the 112 will be removed starting in the September FM. We will also be adding in a new target in August. It will be another target for the Inferno Dragon. Not as difficult as the 120 or 121.
The team wanted to share this information with you ahead of time. We wanted to make sure that anyone who has not built their Inferno Dragon Fleets will have an opportunity to build their Inferno Dragon fleets before the targets change.
Greta’s Inferno Dragon will be available in the ladder for July Event starting July 12th. The regular Inferno Dragon will be available in the open store in the July Event. Starting with the July FM update the regular Inferno Dragon, along with its associated components, will be available in the FM as well.
“X” indicates the target will be in the FM. If there is no “X” then the target will not be in the FM.

Suggested Builds For the New Targets
Greta's Countermeasure Flag and Offensive Focused Inferno Dragon Build
To all players that are believing that the new targets are for the ID. They id's were made for the 112 and 117. There will be a brand new hull for these 120's.
That will change in 3 months again, whether you have changed to ID's or not.
As for the 111, Kix are sure to try the reduction in points again. Or they will lift t5 to a zillion, or bring in t6 for a zillion.
Sure you will be able to do 120's with refitted ID's, but at massive damage. RIP FM
Personnaly, i dont care anymore. Apathy is the biggest problem you guys are facing. Most dont care what you do. Players have spoken in regards to FM changes and new direction in the past year, and nothin as changed. All empty words. You guys have 1 agenda only.
No matters what is said or done, it wont matter. you have failed to listen in the last 3 years and it wont change after 3+ rotation in the dev team.
It obvious the teams priorities are opposite to the players priorities. So go ahead an remove which ever target you wish to remove and introduce/force player into hitting the targets you want them to hit and build the ship you want them to build no matter the situation of build time and refits or what content players want to do.
You have lost players constantly for over three years and i do not see a slow down in that area. This game is slowly dying, everyone can see it. So why change direction. Soon ill join the rest of them, soon ill join some of the great who supported this company and this game into another hobby.
Ive just reached a ptn when i dont see the ptn to hope or expect change or this game to ever reach the next decade.
Good luck and best of success, tho i dont beleive many of you will be around either. It now a matter of time before the plug gets pulled, especially with decision like this one and with the direction this game as been on.
this is so very true!! Why can't kix see they are killing the game?? To me I see kix just want to make as much money as they can till they kill the game. I don't like being forced to make a build kix is telling us to make - this has taken a lot of fun out of the game. I don't matter now how well we drive now -- u are going to get a ton of damage no matter what. I am seeing many friends leaving and it just a matter of time when none of my friends are here and no reason for me to be here
kix stated quite clearly when they removed the garrison class hulls from the raid cycles that fm would change every 3 months, surprisingly they have kept their word
They actually said every three for a FM change? Where exactly did you see that and moreover make changes, but make the builds just as workable for the new targets. If Kixeye is interested in keeping it fresh, then that is fine, but changes don't need to be made that require extensive changes to do so. That is what is at the crux of the issue...
When kix announced its raid cycle plan last year, that meant there wouldn't be a Garrison raid cycle, and the FM would always be Garrison based. They also said that the FM would be adjusted every three months, but the I Dragons would be the viable hull all of the FM year. They also said there would be a Flag for the I Dragon fleet.
Hopefully they will not go to over the top with the new targets, and even if you don't have the flag, the ID's will still be able to complete the new target.
Now if you do not have the ID, I would put every effort into winning the hull, by their actions over the past few months, kix has made it clear that you will need at the very least the ID to maintain a level of achievement in the FM.
We both know Kixeye's MO with regard to changes...With that said, I have a completed ID fleet and it has been refit once already to make it perform better as is, but if they jump the shark again after all of the feedback they have received from players with the difficulty level of current targets, then it will be over for a great many players.
So i built an inferno dragon for 117 and they are now removing it. Mods were saying FM will not change this year, WTF is this. STOP SCREWING US AGAIN AND AGAIN MORONS
They said end of last year that they would not be changing FM for at least a year and this will be the 3rd change they did since then
I see there are loads of pages on tehis thread but has any1 asked the question(s) about Kix saying some time ago that they wouldnt make changes in FM targets for at least 1 year? The changes started after about six months and since then they are changing at a faster and faster rate...soon they will be changing weekly
Perhaps I missed it, but I would like to know what is the rationale for changing Forsaken Missions on us after such a short period of time? I am trying to contain the cynic in me, and so I'd like to give the organization an opportunity to justify, explain, level with us on why the drastic changes to the FM. Some good information that I remember reading, but why does this game always have to be overly convoluted? No other game that I have ever played has been so needlessly so. If it were intentional, that'd be one thing, but I don't believe it is. Which is what is at issue here.
Also, in the last paragraph of the first announcement you shared, we already know that the aim of a "seamless" transition has failed. I would encourage the designers to recognize that players don't play this game to engage in devilish challenges (a euphemism for stacked deck) in a repetitive chore such as FM...it is there for the payout, not for fun. If we didn't receive a benefit from it, no one would regularly do it. It need not be ridiculously punitive in the damage department, particularly with the willful upping of damage and armor that the fleets must have in use now.
My alliance is a higher tier group where we all coin a great deal and I know of no one who coins FMs, so why the drive toward having people do that? People will stop playing before they coin FMs. The vision that Kixeye seems to have at this time is extremely short-sighted to my mind. I know that if I have a slow repair going from FM or another chore, I am likely to find something else to do rather than go out and hit bases or other things where I do coin. Anyhow, please pass this up because just because you announce something doesn't mean it is the right thing to do, as this company has noticed over the years, but seldom admits. A fresh look at this or at the very least a change that doesn't require the change of charged armors would be really refreshing.
Thanks for making the decision to walk away from the game that much easier. See ya
If this is your final sign off, thanks for all you've done for the community!
Thanks, I enjoyed every minute of it! It very well might be. I haven't even attempted the raid yet but that's more of a case of life getting in the way (my dang wedding next week requires preparation lol). I honestly haven't played much the last month and I haven't had a decent raid experience all year and each month it gets worse. The game is a complete ghost of what I fell in love with and no one at Kixeye cares to actually make changes to make people have fun. It's been mentioned before in this thread but the word Apathy is so true. I gave up trying to convince them months ago. That apathy is killing the game and making players leave more and more but they don't care.
If this does end up my last sign off then it's been a good 6 year run, time to turn the page (cue Seger) I believe.
The direction that Kix is moving is as mentioned a few times in this thread is not and I doubt ever really was "putting players first"
I would even challenge that no one at Kix actually plays this game.
The FM as is, for me is a solid 4/10, I remember playing back when there were the 65's breaking them apart the 27's which you could auto with your mercury's. I'd play for a few hours chatting away as I was doing the FM, even though it was a chore.
Now, I hit 3 targets, all auto (as Kix has made sure that you are going to take damage - so IMO no point driving if you are only going to save 30mins or so) return to base after abut 15mins of play, repair slow time and then in 8hrs or so do it again.
The raid is no real different, hit targets that you are going to take damage in (I have no problem with that at all) but when you have the "best" hull and can't auto a 41 for insta repair, or the damage taken from an 87 target is only a few minutes shy of a 106...they have their balance WAY WRONG!!!
But as mentioned in an earlier post, apathy, I just don't care as much as I use to - will I still play, most likely, but coin, not any more.
The numbers should be a good indicator to Kix, the Players Online figure in the 31k mark, yes I know that that doesn't count for those using other platforms, and is across all Kix games....but I do remember when that number was in the 100k+ mark and you can't tell me that those extra 70k players have moved to a different playing platform to play Kix games???

Id not recommend it......you might wake up a year later and see your alliance is gone, your ships suck, and....wait a minute, guess I'm cured.
Let me just say one thing.....
It's killing the game
Right now, we do not know who is the new Lead Dev, but most likely he is new and is just continuing on the same plan/direction until he can grasp it and make his own plan.

I would be ok with that, if there wouldnt be the "suggestings" from KIX to do a little refit here...and there, oh and by the way, a refit would help.
I am very glad, that i didnt built more as two Inferno Dragons, so i will only have to change 10 charged armors to the new one.

but you do make a good point - they should increase build times again so things can be slowed down again.
