Dragon Inferno Build and remote targeting

I'm currently refitting my Dragon Infernos with three almost finished. I am concerned about the lowered explosive mount with reduced range and considering building a fourth with a squall launcher for remote targeting. I notice in most targets if you get too close the damage taken can be fierce. How does the Dragons' do with the remote targeting? I note the remote targeting is "up to 95%" Any advise would be appreciated.

If you read the stats again you'll notice that it says "Defense: Remote Targeting Evade Up to 95%"

The Inferno Dragon does not have the Remote Targeting ability. Instead it has the ability to significantly boost its evade against remote targeting weapons.

When using your dragons, make sure to keep moving to reduce the damage from the rockets. If you do not have a Savage Kodiak flagship I suggest you refit your armor special to Reactive 3. Most of the damage will be from the missile MIRVs, which are unavoidable and deal heavy penetrative splash damage.

Thanks, really appreciate the clarification. I did note that was on the defensive stat. Hey could you do me a favor and post your Savage build? I refit mine but it didn't last long at all in the 117

There is no Savage build. You keep it in the corner of the battle where it is safe.

Thanks Templar, looks good, ya I was also thinking about hull streaming and taking off the engines so hopefully it will float slowly behind and out of harms way saves with the piloting a bit. Cheers.

Hit the up arrow, and be shift+1.

It will select the whole fleet and then deselect the flag only. Driving isn’t as pretty as if you were controlling all 5 ships, but it works fairly well in messy targets like the FM.
