Main Track
Verkraft(5)
Shadow: Alright, Commander.
With Kruger out of the way, we've just got to clean up the leftover Verkraft bases.
This will be a great opportunity to test out our latest weapon...
...the Sphinx!
Verkraft(10)
Kara: We were going to send out a rescue mission to rescue some POWs...
...but one of my most respected soldiers has decided not to wait for backup…
...and handle it herself.
Skipjack’s a bit of a firecracker, which is maybe why I get along with her so well.
Help her free those prisoners!
Verkraft(15)
RUBI: Our scanners are not showing any life signs at this location.
Kara: Why is this base undefended?
Shadow: Strange…
Sheila: This isn’t the first base we’ve found like this.
Kara: What?
Sheila: We’ve been finding more and more bases like this throughout the Sector.
Shadow: That’s not the only thing weird that’s been going on lately…
...our Darkstorm prototype went rogue this past month.
RUBI: I had several odd processing issues during our final conflict with Verkraft.
Kara: If I didn’t know any better, I’d say someone was **** with us.
Shadow: Or perhaps…
...testing us?
…
Our previous excursions did not take us to the southern region of the Sector…
Kara, Sheila, can you two investigate the southern regions?
Kara: That we can.
Sheila: Of course.
I’ll continue to patrol the areas around the Verkraft mines…
...there's got to be a clue somewhere as to what’s going on.
Verkraft(25)
Shadow: I’ve seen those things before…
RUBI: I am detecting unusual readings coming from those machines, Shadow.
Shadow: My scanners barely know what to make of them.
It’s like they have some kind of active networking between them.
RUBI: Yes, there is a signal between them…
...but I detect no data transmissions.
Shadow: Why have a constant connection if you’re not sending data?
RUBI: I do not know, Shadow.
Verkraft(30)
RUBI: I do not understand what this signal could mean…
… but it is unlikely it is without…
...without…
...with…
...with…
Onyx: …
Shadow: RUBI?
What is going on with you?
RUBI: I can not…
...can not…
Shadow: ...well that much is clear.
Commander, this signal is somehow impacting RUBI.
We need to kill these things.
Verkraft(35)
Shadow: Those things didn’t stay dead.
Commander, I don’t rattle easily...
...but this is not something I have encountered before.
RUBI: Commander…
I am attempting…
...attempting…
Shadow: Keep attempting, RUBI.
Commander, I have a suspicion I must verify.
We need to clear this cave as best we can…
...then I will perform a deep scan of the underground.
We must act quickly.
Onyx(45)
Shadow: Commander, my suspicions were confirmed.
These machines share an energy signature with pre-war technology beneath the Sector.
RUBI: What does that mean, Shadow?
Shadow: RUBI? You seem to be able to communicate again.
Have you identified the cause of your malfunctions?
RUBI: Possibly…
It seems the primary cause of my malfunction stems from…
...any attempt to analyze the signal between those machines.
Shadow: The only way an empty signal would cause you to malfunction…
...is if it's not empty.
RUBI: I have come to the same conclusion.
Shadow: Great…
… so how do we figure out what’s in a signal our best computer can't analyze?
RUBI: A question worthy of consideration.
Shadow: In the meantime… do those spiders look different from the other ones?
RUBI: I’m detecting increased plasma signatures at this location...
Shadow: That’s new…
Onyx(50)
Shadow: Ok, these things can shoot now?
This is not what we need.
RUBI: I concur.
Shadow: Thank you, RUBI…
If we cause enough chaos here, we might be able to take one of these things…
...study it.
We have to learn more about this new enemy.
(In Battle Dialogue)
RUBI: One confirmed destroyed.199 more needed.
20 down.
40.
60 confirmed.
80.
100. We are halfway done.
120 down.
140.
160.
180. Only 20 more needed.
200 destroyed. We can withdraw now.
Onyx(55)
Shadow: Ok, we got one.
My scientists are doing their best to investigate it.
Onyx: You're not listening yet.
RUBI: Listening?
Who is this?
Shadow: Um…
Who is who, RUBI?
RUBI: I just received a transmission…
...did you not receive it?
Shadow: I received no transmission, RUBI.
RUBI: Odd.
Shadow: Odd… and concerning.
Onyx(65)
Shadow: This keeps getting better and better…
Commander, that thing does not look nice.
Use extreme caution when engaging.
Onyx(70)
RUBI: Bases are increasing in density, Shadow…
...we are being overrun.
If we do not act quickly…
Onyx: You know who I am.
RUBI: I… I do not know who this is.
Shadow: RUBI?
You're acting strangely again…
RUBI: I again received a transmission.
Shadow: From where, RUBI?
RUBI: From…
From everywhere.
Onyx(75)
Shadow: Commander…
We’re in too deep.
It’s become clear to me now that we're not safe.
We’ve actually wandered into enemy territory.
Which is a bit odd since last month this was clearly allied territory.
To make matters worse, were surrounded by machine creatures…
...and RUBI is hearing voices.
We have to meet up with the others in the south…
...and to do that we’ll have to fight our way out of here.
If you see any spelling differences compared to in game it's because I used the correct spelling.
I'm wondering about the use of Corpus technology in defense waves. there were a few Cyclopes, Apollos, and Furies attacking us, while there was no word or comments from Shadow about that! AFAIK we're not fighting Corpus, are we?
It's worth mentioning that during last event, Road to Hell, there was a Corpus CC buried deep inside the cave of the last mission of the main track (Base 105) which was the only CC in that base!
Does that mean that Kruger is taking advantage of their technology, or is there a secret alliance between him & Shadow?
Or is it Onyx that are taking advantage of Corpus, and controlling those units to do their bidding?

Aside from the rogue DS, I find it strange that there was no comment or explanation from Shadow about the other tanks that were used against us during the event! that is a serious issue IMO.
Which base has that Nightmare crew you're talking about?
i also find the lack of sentinels input to the story a bit concerning considering their beliefs and the reveal in the 80 base.

I think Malachi was busy celebrating the rise of the Machine God. probably that was the happiest day of his life
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yes , I think the phantom is aswell

I do also suspect some similarities between Verkraft and Corpus. For instance, the PAC-M (Pac Man) is originally designed from a Corpus unit called the Cyclone and the Billy Goat originates from the Nightmare unit.
It's also very suspicious that the Onyx units are using nearly the same Technology as Corpus with stealth and the plasma weaponry.
