I am fixing to start playing this game and wonder what is the best way to get my foot in the door. Please (if you can) give me some useful tips to get the quickest/best start to this game.

Don't even waste time on the stupid game mostly u get to lvl 10-11 and get stuck in war zone and they say it be fix in a week or two still hasn't been fix for almost 150 days or so
Don't count on resource tiles to help you level almost all of them are blocked off by alliances your going to have to spend money to level cuz it's going to take weeks to level cuz your base is going destroyed a lot and all your resources gone in in minutes
I'm a level 11 now, all out of resources and can't do anything since my platoon is too damaged. Need metal so I can build units and upgrade, need more units so I can continue campaign and attack bases, need more oil because my pumps are too slow, always seems to be something that stops me from progressing. Can't even manage to defeat an infantry outpost on the world map, and I would've assumed they'd be the easiest? I enjoyed the fast pace starting out but my opinions on this game are changing, just seems like a grind at this point, a slow one at that. Not sure how long I'm going to last out to be honest.
In my opinion, level 11 is still in low profile, which can't really tell what's the game about.
But yes, this game has a serious problem telling players how game mechanism works.
The only thing they do is keep developing this game and release new mechanism to player which mass up all of us.
However it can be fun to find those new mechanism works and lead other players ahead.
So it's pretty important for all of us to pay attention what changes and what stays.
It's how it rolls.
