The game team is aware of the issue and believes they can fix it. However, the fix will require a server release, so this will likely be an issue until our next update, unfortunately
That is unacceptable Chris. Why were they messing with talonite in the first place? Who told them to do it? Why were we not told? This is no bug or accident. Were we not supposed to notice talonite nerf?
It's a bug, John. It was the byproduct of changing something else and it's going to get fixed in the next update.
PLAYTEST YOUR **** BEFORE RELEASE YOU INCOMPETENT OAF!!!

btw, this is not @CM Chris's fault. Stop blaming the CMs. They probably accidentally used the wrong items in the database or something.
on another note, the PUNISHER NERF really pisses me off, considering i just spend CONSIDERABLE amounts of real MONEY on those ships, to speed up builds, refits, etc... and now they have been SEVERELY NERFED... that bothers me way more than a mistake with Talonite repair time.

This is Kixeye's fault. So every single employee has a hand in it. The whole company should be liquidated and federal bans be placed on computer use for everyone who works for them. They are an incompetent company.
does kix actually test anything anymore? or double check the updates before they apply them?
Yeah, our QA suites are pretty comprehensive. The amount of bugs that slip through in each update is negligible by most live game standards, and there hasn't been anything game breaking in a long time. In a game as stable as VC - the smallest hiccup can just seem like the sky is falling to some.
Known Issue:
There's a visual issue where it will look like something
invisible is shooting tiny green projectiles at you from off screen.
It's visual only - just a graphic artifact that doesn't do any
damage. Just looks a little odd.
Stable? You call bugs every single update this season stable?
There hasn't been a single update for xeno that hasn't caused problems, most of them for mobile players.
This game is not stable. This game is in a constant state of tampons and thumbs being shoved into sucking chest wounds.

Thanks for the info, Chris. I would just really like your post allot more if you took out the word, "believes".
@cmchris I would happily push the rest of the calender out for a hotfix. This is kind of a big issue that affects the game as a whole. I get some issues having to wait, but this is pretty significant. Combined with the spectre wing issue, this is going to be a very bad 30 days for bases.

I get what your saying and yes it is going to affect those of us who have this or that. But honestly, to have to live with our bases like they were a month ago until the next update is probably a much easier problem to deal with than pissing if everyone by moving the calendar back....i can only imagine.
I just wish they could fix on the fly but understand this is not possible
As a programmer myself I honestly dont see how the values belonging to Talontite armour have conveniently increased the repair time due to a bug... Kixeye sneakily increased the repair time most likely to gauge the reaction of players, if there was huge discontent in the forums they'd tell us its a bug that still needs to be fixed in a future release. If they wanted to they could hot fix the values while were playing the game. A majority of the game content is downloaded as you play it. When they previously cocked up and made blueprints have a 100% drop rate they patched that debacle in a day.

I suppose it happened due to punies bugfixing.
Perhaps but the constant lies and BS we've been spoon fed over the years has turned me into a pessimist.

Chris... are you saying that players who already have Talonite on their bases will be forced to bear with this mistake for an entire month???
Did you know that this will mess up with everyone who has equipped Talonite Plates on their modules (that includes both event base hits and July's Civil Wars) ???
Did you know that this will most likely reduce the total event points made by players who depend on base hits and probably prevent them from grabbing what they need because the modules they put Talonite have now a much longer repair time than it should and their break between base hits is going to be longer if they don't want to get 100% bubbled???
and additionally: if we dont had equipped talonite on our modules we were now under lvl 65 - but we equipped it and open for lvl 90 fleets to attack us.
so this needs to be addressed immediately - it breaks the game - just for me.
switch my equipped talonite to capacitive plates and recalculated my base level - and i am save
A small piece of the puzzle. This is going to be the biggest coin grab in the history of Vega. Hordes will be dumb enough to coin it and call us stupid or these accusations silly. Will be the same ones replacing us on the nay train long after we have left because at this rate even the heavy coiners are going to start feeling it soon

Lol this comment had me howling at my desk, hilarious.

I'm not CMs favourite fan but everyone deserves a holiday. Working at kix will drain you quicker than battery in a widow's vibrator! The fact that he bothered to check at all on his day off says more about him and his commitment than any other CM before.
Yeah less lube cream on the probing cannon..it is indeed a nerf. lol
