The talonite was not meant to do that, according to Chris' response in the release notes discussion.
Sure, but the blueprint has been changed to reflect these new values. It looks like it was clearly done on purpose.
I really hope not. But that's how it looks
what can i say i only play the game now to collect ships, and use the chat box because there a lot of great guys to chat with as for the game its total ****, need to learn how to program and anything i make will be better that this .... ... .... LOL
Yeah, if that's all you have, definitely use them but I'm not going to the trouble of refitting cap 3 until this gets/ if this gets resolved. The decreased repair time was much needed and we (the playing community) actually thought kix thoughtfully implemented a player friendly item.....we should have known better.
So why would we even equip these plates then? I guess I'm glad I'm only partway through equipping them and begin the process of reverting back to capacitive plates.

we wouldnt have, the only benefit was the reduced repair time. the sure dont protect your base any better then cap 3
The repair time was why I refitted my CMs. What really irritates me is the wasted mineral ore for longer repair times, wasting the intel to get the mineral ore, time to get the intel and few coins spent for repairs to get intel to buy the mineral ore.
The game team is aware of the issue and believes they can fix it. However, the fix will require a server release, so this will likely be an issue until our next update, unfortunately
does kix actually test anything anymore? or double check the updates before they apply them?
Yeah, our QA suites are pretty comprehensive. The amount of bugs that slip through in each update is negligible by most live game standards, and there hasn't been anything game breaking in a long time. In a game as stable as VC - the smallest hiccup can just seem like the sky is falling to some.

That is unacceptable Chris. Why were they messing with talonite in the first place? Who told them to do it? Why were we not told? This is no bug or accident. Were we not supposed to notice talonite nerf?

It's a bug, John. It was the byproduct of changing something else and it's going to get fixed in the next update.

Chris... are you saying that players who already have Talonite on their bases will be forced to bear with this mistake for an entire month???
Did you know that this will mess up with everyone who has equipped Talonite Plates on their modules (that includes both event base hits and July's Civil Wars) ???
Did you know that this will most likely reduce the total event points made by players who depend on base hits and probably prevent them from grabbing what they need because the modules they put Talonite have now a much longer repair time than it should and their break between base hits is going to be longer if they don't want to get 100% bubbled???

I hope that siege fleet will be nerfed to compensate this.
By 300 hp only and 3 times longer refits...
But only 1hr 23 minutes repair time for the talonite compared to 2hr 40 minutes repair time for capacitive

Not anymore. That's the point of the thread
Seriously, did you read the title of the post
I did I'm on mobile, at the time I read this it was still showing the other way in game. Now that it updated I now see what you guys are talking about
I don't have capacitive plates 3 yet so the talonite plates are what I'm still gonna be fitting on my base

i bought a drum of the industrial size, i'll send you some

yes they test it on us

@ CM Chris
Will you refrain from running civil wars until you fix this bug directly affecting bases of people who installed Talonite plates in good faith?
Thanks for the laugh.

/sarcasm off
