Oh for fucsake, I would love the opportunity to treat who ever comes up with these heists like the bunch theives you are, fucin bs you think we are that stupid, that we dont know why your nerfing the punisher it has nothing to do with bases, or fleets being walked over and everything to do with the A.X.I.S release you have realised that our current fleets would tear the arshole out of the new event fleets and the old ones, then you realise with the refit discount right after a catch up event where two blank hulls are available people would be able to get two ships refitted quickly, cant have that can you so you cancel the event and will more than likley scheduled conveniently after the discounts have passed.
I hate being smart enough to see through stuff like that
You get to "DOWNGRADE YOUR SHIPS FOR FREE" and you get to use your resources a second time to do it
Glad I didn't purchasing any of the Punisher offers or "spend money on the Scam,",,,
I'm not even sure what is happening couldn't have criminal charges brought on by players that paid.
"Promising something and taking money then reversing surely is Illegal."

Doubt you get anywhere with a lawsuit. Online games usually have very detailed EULAs (End user licence agreement) that we have to accept to start playing the game. In pretty much all of those its clear that we own nothing in their games, we just rent all the digital assets including our accounts and whatever pixels we paid for. Our payments is pretty much donations that we have waived all rights for. The companies also reserve the right to end that affiliation with us at their discretion.
Making ANYONE able to relocate to you is a bad idea, it should have to be a request which can be accepted or denied by the player. Also a PvP faction of hulls is a bad idea in the matter of low-mid- even some high level players, since most high level players already have some pretty OP fleets why give them even more OP ships? And I'm pretty disappointed that Vega Conflict is joining the mmo bandwagon of having a "VIP" mechanic that eventually pushes people to become a wallet warrior to progress at a moderate pace through the game. I say instead of the VIP for individual players you should implement it into the Alliance system, so instead of having it increase as you buy coins and etc, your Alliance should have an exp meter where everything can be upgraded by accumulating points into specific skills like increased alliance help time or capacity. If you play Star Wars Commander you'll know what I'm talking about (Squad Perks).
I agree with most except the Alliance system. I hate depending on others. I hate wasting time not knowing what I am getting into. A leader 6 time zones away many not have allies to come to my aid but I am sure the will expect me to drop everything to come to theirs. I am a solo player for my reasons. So VIP makes some sense.
@CM Chris in the "minor fixes" part of this update, will there be a fix for the suppressor not targeting a squadron whenever a ship comes into range? Meaning making it possible for the suppressor to target 1 ship and 1 squadron at the same time? One can be hopeful
Not that I'm aware of - but that is a functionality change the design team is pushing for. Priority targets get a little weird when you add Targeting Computer into the mix and the end intention is to have Suppressor able to target 1 ship and 1 squadron or maybe even only target squadrons even if another ship is in range.
just for clarification:
the targeting system of the suppressor is bugged, but we need to use the suppressor in monthly event taking place in 3 days. and you do not fix it before event take place?

So that's why you hate CW. You have no one to do it with.
Newsflash, this game is based around being in an alliance. if the other members are 6 timezones away, they won't expect you to help them just as you don't expect them to help you. At least, in a decent alliance.
Mine is like that. we help each other to a reasonable extent.
If you are refusing to participate in a core part of the game, that is your choice, but you do not have the right to demand that things that are part of that core aspect are removed.

That would be sort of great. But then starting a new alliance as a sub of the old one just means a lot less perks for the ones starting the new one. If that were implemented, alliances should not have a member limit, rather having a limit based on the number of officers.
Captain permits should also be based on the number of officers. Kix wants to limit the javs out at once, but they really can't, as we can just make more alliances for the permits
@zparadis The captains permits limit is something we are stuck with due to the mobile client. Having too many 3D objects on a sector map lags mobile clients so they use the permits to limit the amount of 3D javelins on the sector map,
On mobile, you can even see the crispy pixelated edge of those 3D models.
They have already removed the planetary 3D model of jav, and I think they can do the same in sector view.
Before harvesters and hives, there's only a few 3D models. Now the sectors are filled with alien fleets and harvesters 3D models, and no lags!
I don't think they are limiting javs for this reason.

This is the reason CM Chris gave when he got the question earlier. So thats the official reason to why they limit javs.

When it comes to value, the civil war gives us the weakest patterns and a ton of repairs, only the coiners get the coin prizes. Unfair system being harvested for coins and making blood amber worthless. Our time is not valuable, only coins. The 50% refit reduction only benefits the coiners since they can refit 2-5 ships with the Xeno projectile weapons or upgrade the seeker missle 2s to a battleship before the AXIS event. That is the PERFECT time to throw a bone not to the non coiners BUT to the coiners.

I'm going to take advantage of this too (refitting suppressor with xeno seekers and refitting my empty puni to some extent) and insta-refit for punies as well (finally I will be able to use xeno armored thrusters). Coiners will benefit too, but 2 days of discount instead of 1 makes a lot of difference esp for non-coiners (2d vs 1d doesn't make any difference for coiners).
Yep pretty lame we dont get more info from kix on why punishers are being nerfed. Also very lame we are not given more the nerfing. In other games played by better companies they would not do such a move and if they did they would compensate the players far more.

Why use 3d elements at all?? Aliens and Harvesters are say bots and in vast numbers after awhile would have a cheaper cost, but for say the same cost for a rated amount anyways, would have to run like 5-10 Javelins in Sector regularly, which think at the time most ever really used is 5 at anytime.
Least used to be to some aspects, what they actually use could be another thing.
But either way, would seem not using the 3d Elements and having more sophisticated 2d Elements would be better off and probably say still cheaper at the sametime.
Of course with use of say use for what has found a possible place of non-use could still sustain least equal costs if not higher, but still for say the cheaper behalf.
So just checked my builds on my punishers on the vegacal ( thank u to who ever runs that it's a time saver) and all my punisher builds are over weight for the nerf coming. Now I understand we are getting a free refit on the over weight punishers and a 48h refit discount but honestly it's not good enough if you add up the time it took to refit each punisher kixeye are still not giving enough compensation for this 4 amour slots lvl 2 a day per amour that's 4 per punisher I've 4 elite that's 16 days it's cost me in refitting for amour alone! Now include weapons resistors and shields if you use them and it's still not enough.
Are they required to strictly follow some fundamental "laws of game mechanics"?
Armor is armor... Right?, why can't this just be left alone??
U cannot make exceptions to armored thrusters just cuz.....
The "it's not a bug, it's a feature!" joke in game development holds water in some cases, but in most situations building off a broken system only comes back to haunt you later. If there's a bug, usually good to do your best to fix it.
In the Xeno season, there was a fairly legitimate argument to be made that the Punisher was equally good at accomplishing everything the specialized ships set out to do better. Cruisers are meant to be good general ships, but they're not meant to be so good that they're on the same level at the specific thing specialized attack ships are meant to be great at.
We had chalked it up to an unfortunate misstep when we first made the Punisher but it turns out a big part of the situation had to do with how powerful you could make the Punisher due to this bug. I could list lots of reasons as to why it took so long for that bug to make it onto our radar - but they'd all sound like excuses. Suffice to say - it just did.
So while the Xeno season was going, players had a bit of an edge. Build other ships if you want but primarily just focus on the one. That's not what we intended. So the bug needs to get fixed, first and foremost to not build off a broken system, secondly to draw the lines more clearly between the generalist and the specialized attack ships back to how they were always intended to be.
I know it's a painful change. The game team knows it too. Hopefully the free refits and the extended refit discount period minimizes the disruption as much as possible.
Only took you guys like 6 months sheesh! Why didn't you squash the bug then instead of misleading people with the coin deals thinking they were getting a good deal!? And why did you wait till after coiners got all the fun out of it by smashing lower level players...then when it's time for those lower players, you need it. This is why we don't trust you (KIXEYE). Chris your a **** good CM but man you work for a **** and shady company.
ANNOUNCEMENT: Due to an unforeseen issue, the downtime has been delayed by 24 hours. It will run at 8PM PDT July 3rd instead.
This will unfortunately mean that the upcoming Sector Strike is canceled, though we hope to run one as soon as we can to make sure players get a chance to get their hands on some older tech. At this time we do not anticipate that the Ancient Reaper Preview event or the Refit discount period is impacted, but if anything changes I will post more info as I have it.

Indeed the 2 days will help non coiners more... they can refit quite an amount of stuff in such period and start a big refit just before the end of the offer. My idea of refit discount is to run 1 hour twice a day, at random times without notice to players.

Let's just be realistic and honest here... 1. For FARMING, the Punisher was as good, if not better than basically every specialized ship at the things they specialized in. 2. This "BUG" was deliberately ignored for the whole Xeno season now that people FINALLY fully fit them. 3. For PVP, this punisher is NOT the best ship. The 5.2 month build time fleets that use Exterms, Annis, and Cutters have better win rates and lower coin rep costs.
