We have known about the change for quite some time. I guess you should have planned better.
So where in the changes did they say all 87s and 80s will no longer spawn this week? They also said that if you could do the raid targets, you can do these targets and then made them even harder than the S targets from the last raid. I can do 113s but most cannot. Kixeye is increasing the amount of players that will leave the game. I think the muddle glut cut into their profits and now they are trying to get coin from somewhere else (aka FM).
Anyone remember when Solid Fuel Boosters came into the game? It was forums filled with WTFKIX you killing the game, nobody can defend their bases from these long range missile.
So people complained about it back then....then why in the hell would kix make the same mistake for the thousand time? It's obvious kix doesn't learn from their mistakes. Guess it's going to take months to fix this one like it did back then....Number of players are dropping relatively fast....ah well...eat sleep repair repeat
Since when did this game become kix against whales? Now the best in the game are being slapped around by any coiner that can get the way out of line MudGlut. The players that don't spend all day on the game but like to play when they can are being shut down. Whole alliances are talking drop tag and move on to something else. Is this really what Kix wants? Seems like it to me and many others. Now, the average gamer can't do the weekly w/o major coin spent, can't defend base, can't do the major raids. WTH is going on Kix? At least w the 102's in there a player could grind out a weekly x2 in 2 to 3 days of occasional play. With MudGlut there is no reason for base guard (Again, this comment is about the average player). But hey, the Whales are right in there w all the right toys bangin away and tryin to match up w Kix's twisted mindset of constant change to reap more coin from the whale player/hackpackers and major coiners. This is not the game it was and the break up has begun. Congrats Kix, players w years of gaming together are givin up the game, alliances are cracking and brand new players see no way in hell of ever surviving past lvl 50. Suggestion: lvl 100 plus can only attack lvl 100 plus unless attacked by a lower lvl. Biggest suggestion is quit trying to out think the game. Five years + playing and ready to quit if kix does not make the game possible for all again.
thanks for letting me know about your feelings about keeping a guard in your base....
I have a hard time believing that we are dealing with a company that is brilliantly scamming us AND entirely incompetent.
This is a private company in a capitalist market trying to make money - your money. Give it to them, or don't - but don't fault them for trying.
https://www.kixeye.com/forum/discussion/697163 Here is where you whiney little ****. And I use the same fleet for the new targets that i used for the old ones. I just have to take it a bit slower in hitting it.
Please look at the forums. How hard would it be to have anyone (CM/Mod) put up a post to address the obvious issues that are happening today. It would go far just to say "We are aware of the issues and currently working on it". How fecking hard would that be.
I came back to this game in Dec. of 16. That raid was great, I had heard Kixeye was more player friendly and that raid proved it to me. I know a lot of players came around then because they too heard kixeye was more player friendly. Well that honeymoon didn't last long. I had gotten caught up quickly as best as I could. I was hitting 97's for base parts doing the weekly(struggling but getting there). I had built base hitting flt's. Was doing good . Been i noticed the raid getting crazy(I know some can do with ease most cant do). Long story short I am not at a point not being able to do the weekly at all not being able to do base parts(yes still working on few turrets and need to change specials and turret weapons).
I am finding myself login in less and less. I know the trolls will run their mouths and be trolls. This isnt a good bye either, but it seems Kixeye might have another mass exodus on their hands. I dont expect anything for free I do and have coined. I hope Kixeye comes to their sense sooner rather then later.
i hear ya..... i am rapidly losing interest in this game, coined for first few months of playing but stopped completely when i totted up how much id spent. weekly fm was the only thing that kept me going but now not worth the time and effort
i agree, there will be trolling but hey, speak your mind i say and to hell with the trolls
Your right on the button m8. Now they have taken the 87s off and forcing players to coin the blitz targets lol They must think we are stupid lol I too log on less and less and that gives me time to find other things to do that are more fun and less annoying than a company that looks like they are in bad need of money so then pass that burden on to players. I'm sure there is a governing body that we can report the underhanded things kixeye are doing. I just spent over an hour in the world I am in and all the sectors have only 67 and 60s strongholds. Now that is way to obvious not to notice what kixeye are up to. Bad move kix. You just got caught with your pants down.
No one is being forced to do anything. The game is always in some kind of a change, it has been since 2011. If you got caught up since coming back, that's good. That in itself should have told you the game is about to advance again.
I'll tell you what I think there new STATE of the GAME made my game worse to play in the mini the tiers would be 4.5 mil for tier 3 now it is 7 mil how does this help people who can barely hit 4.5 mil and yes i'm 1 of those people
The fm aspect is laughable imo, if youve played AT all the last 6 months you should have zelos' built, with zelos or pun/cits you could EASILY do the first 2 prize packs of the mono campaign.
State of the game is crap. wouldn't be so bad but support are even worse. Have a problem no worries support will report it to the developers. No mention of any notification if/when it will be resolved. 5 bases later and also in the middle of a campaign same thing. Glitch is hit a target and you cannot get in to fight the battle but you can take you fleet and attack another target at the same time. What else does support do they give me gold as compensation like normal except they give me less than someone else who barely coins. Had a similar problem with my Mega hull 6 months back. Supports answer "Well that shouldn't have happened". So Kixeye if you want to make this game better. Make your support staff more competent. Let people know what you are doing to fix problems. This game is about hitting bases, winning campaigns and using new Tech. Well thanks to your staff I no longer have the confidence to do any of these things without glitching and no it is not my internet connection or my computer hardware. I replace my laptop frequently enough and yes it has more than sufficient gaming power. And to all you trolls yes I am a noob just a little ole level 116 who coins. Well I used to. Rant over enjoy the game
"State of the Game"...hmmm..ok..here is what i think about the State of the game.....FIRE the friggin Business manager you have running the game now!!!!!!!!!!..and hire a friggin GAMER !!!........wtf...we are actually seeing commercial's ???...COMMERCIAL'S!!!!!...are you friggin kidding me?......spend you coin on this...spend you coin on that...yall have lost millions of player's because of this...get back to the friggin game..MAKE THE GAME FUN AGAIN !!!

The game advances forward. It has to or it will die for real. So many players want/wish it to close tomorrow. But what will they do to get their BP fix then? Face it, we are all addicts and can't get enough of these pixels.

Hardly...when will Kix learn that a "BP fix" can be had by many other means. A box of .45 ammo at the local range, hell a decent $20 PS4/XBOX one game will do the trick. I DO remember getting plowed by MCX with SFB3....no issue with that.
But bases getting levelled by subs?? ok whatever. The sheer content overload (I have 148 weapons to choose from) and chores, combined with the requirement to have top tech or be farmed is a bit unsettling.
You are 100% correct WRT choices tho (earlier post, not this one). Nobody is forcing anyone to do anything, but most relationships should not be forced, those based on trust usually thrive.
Level 102, Collected all the hulls kix wants me to coin! Sectors travels...who cares play the game and don't whine when you get hit!
i m a lvl 101, playing for just after blackwater, got most tech, +- caught up, had a decent base. 2017 has been a major disaster for BP it made me give up. i m just playing FM now not doing anything anymore, it just became too much, 3 month raid cycles, 2 raid hulls, for wich you need 200M points, 2 conq's a month, limited armor at 10M a piece, who thinks of this ****? i just cant be bothered with it anymore. yes you get tokens but its just not fun anymore. i have coin left on my account, i m not even gonna use it. too bad, the game is totalled IMO

its easier than ever to get everything.
if you have a are prepared to put in a little research.

I think this is a common misconception. You don't need everything to do well.
Skirmish: got some assistance from my alliance and got the Hellwraith. Finished that raid cycle doing S-sets, but chose to fill up my tech holes rather than get the Canoneer. Never got the Tideseekers.
Point 1: having a good alliance to help you get to the top in a single raid cycle can make a world of difference. Having the HWs set me up for future rounds of TLCs, which got me hulls in the next cycle (Spites, Ironclads)
Point 2: Tideseekers - while awesome - aren't mandatory with the HWs. Likewise, I could have gotten TS's with a Harlock's TS and skipped the HWs.
Point 3: Missing the Canoneer was a tradeoff.
Siege: Got the Ironclads, but wasn't super thrilled with them. Decided to focus on getting ready for the hull store raid. Grinded the first raid and got the Canoneer; grinded the second raid and got the Pride and the Harlock's.
Point 1: Sure, I now have two Siege fleets, but most of the Ironclads were built for free, and I used them as a stepping stone to get the Canoneers - which were a lot better. I also stopped investing in the Ironclads: sunk cost fallacy applies here. The miss on the Canoneers "set me back" a raid, but the technology wasn't really needed (Alpha Behemoth) - and I ended up picking it up later anyway.
Point 2: If you "miss" something, focus on the hull store raid. You can catch up in technology, and ships that were offered in the last/current cycle are often offered at a discount. In this case, the hull store raid also gave away a ton of tokens. With the Harlock's Canoneer, I grinded a ton of points, which got me 10 days of refit on a Zelos, a free Alpha Behemoth, and I think something else (can't recall now). Also got the Icebreaker to set me up for the next round.
Point 3: Getting the top end fleet again set me up for the next raid cycle with the TLCs.
Point 4: Even though Ironclads were bust for the overall raid cycle, they've were fantastic for hitting the old 97s and DUBs. Even now, they're my go to Uranium hull. So even "misses" are useful. And they ended up costing me very little.
Point 5: Even though I got the Pride, I didn't build it. It wasn't necessary at first - I only ended up building it once I saw TLCs that needed it. Even then, I built a mostly blank hull with one scatter gun, turret defense, and an engine, then used it to "tank" for my T5 conquerers (which were also all free). You don't have to build a full ship for them to be useful.
Garrison: Icebreakers were a disappointment. So I used my Zelos/Cits to grind A sets, built a single Mono (for free, gotten from the TLC), and got the Gridiron. I've ignored Icebreakers, and instead just built up my Monos using only free tokens.
Point 1: Icebreakers may be lackluster, but they have been great in the old 102s (auto) and in the Homeland TLC. So I use them for that.
Point 2: Monos have been built completely free with all of the tokens they've thrown at us. I even burned the 20 day Gridiron token on a 3 day refit, because that's all I needed it for. Crazy.
Point 3: Because after the Icebreaker bust my new fleet has been built mostly free, I've been able to focus on completing out Conquerers (refitting Sloths/Gluts) and my base defense fleet. The two rounds of Alpha TLC got me a free Alpha (#2) and a free HAB (or at least 12 days off), which vastly improved the base defense.
Point of all of the above is: if you can focus on doing well in one cycle, you can build on that success in each successive cycle, taking advantage of all the free stuff Kixeye throws at us to 'catch up' in places that you're weak. Things I don't have:
Tideseekers (at all)
Any kind of Assault fleet (but will get that this hull store raid). That means my Mega is sitting all lonesome, but so what? I know I'm going to catch up soon in this hull store raid, and probably be able to auto the current Megas better than Apollos.
Completed Ironclad fleet - but what I have does DUBs just fine
Completed Icebreaker fleet - but I really don't care
Oppressors - no Assault fleet, so I couldn't get them - but was easily able to get Sloths and I was doing just fine without a Conquerer Mortar fleet
"Perfect" Muddle Gluts - but the three I have were built totally for free and still wreck #*&$ up
"Perfect" Liberators - up to three now, built totally for free, and still work well enough
And all of this is being done at roughly 100 coins per month - which is mostly to cover up my mistakes when I drive like a drunken sailor.
So I'm sorry, I just don't buy all of the "there's too much content, we can't keep up" arguments. Yes, you have to play the game, but holy crap people - when the game company is throwing free build tokens at you constantly, what do you want?
y'know what i want from kix? a good brooklyn pizza. that's what i've not had in a while.
Theyre in California.. they don't know good pizza
this is why we can't have nice things, amiriteowhat?
maybe they just need to eat a good Brooklyn pizza or a Chicago deep dish and> @Laredo said:

How many of those are really players? And why play if you hate it?
Yea no, the game wasn't particularly fun back then. It's way more fun now, there's just more stuff to learn about it. If you don't want to put the effort into learning how to play the game then of course you're not going to have any fun.
Sorry mate but you are full of **** back then you could actually defend you base and the ships were not so overpowered we had 4 base weapons that could hold off attacks now you have 50 and cant hardly damage some ships. Sorry but the fun days are long gone and now glitch is millions richer well it is all about getting you suckers to spend big on crap that will be obsolete weeks later.
please take the 113 and stuff it in your **** the mission has always been a chore but before it wasn't one were you only get **** points for massive damage before you could do it get some damage but repair in a little time and be on your merry way these new targets are one mistake you lose a fleet for 15 hours f damage yeah take this entire game and stuff it in your **** at this point world of warships looking better and better
Anyone remember the long base repair times, research times, endless hours of mining for resources, longer build times for ships then than current ships based on power and tech. The weeks spent upgrading a platform, installing a weapon, researching anything. No relay towers and being limits to where we could travel from our base at the whopping speed of a snail. The even longer trips back home when your fleet got sank......
The game has evolved, I'm glad it has. Yes, its A LOT more technical than it was then. People want to say we are building box fleets now. Back then thats all we had, since there wasn't the hundreds of blueprints we have now.
Anyone remember when Solid Fuel Boosters came into the game? It was forums filled with WTFKIX you killing the game, nobody can defend their bases from these long range missile.
I see the history in the game as being just that. For the small times of fun, there was many more times the hurry and wait aspect of the game we don't have now.
Laredo back then the game was a more level playing field then it is now and as far as the hurry up and wait aspect do you mean the 2-3-4 week ship build times and years of turret upgrade time if you don't get base parts to help ? I'm sorry but the game is so screwed up its unreal at least back then you didn't have to hunt endless sectors for a live base to hit and well it was a challenge to hit them verses now with overpowered ships you pop in and smash a base like it has no defense. yeah I see your point

funny, I have a much easier time defending my base now, have an easier time in raids. It all got better for me in Match 2016 when they moved a lot of stuff server side and drove away most of the cheats.
My spend rate per million raid points is far less than it used to be.

there is always an ebb and flow between attack and defence. always has been. and always must be.
wat about us little guys why cant u have a tlc thing for us little guys think is bs u forget us little guys just saying
you are 100% right. If you don't have OP 9 then you can't get in campaigns to win fleets like the Gluts. So what they do? Small guy over lv 50 hits another 50-60 base and next thing you know a 109 is in ur base with Gluts leveling you. It's like having a bar softball team and the competition shows up with Jeter and Popi on their team. Seriously what a joke this game has turned into..... Kix greed is awesome huh?
So I'm sorry, I just don't buy all of the "there's too much content, we can't keep up" arguments. Yes, you have to play the game, but holy crap people - when the game company is throwing free build tokens at you constantly, what do you want?
Yeah I read your entire post, and was impressed by the clarity of your well articulated points about how you got where you are. Was an interesting look into the thought process of a top player. You took responsibility for some of your "goofs" and yet maintain a positive outlook. However, you are obviously a rare player, being both a "light coiner" and a consistent contender for top prizes each raid cycle. I want to make it clear up front that I'm in no way trying to be a **** or give you the rash. I respect you for what you've shared with us and the effort you've put into getting where you are.
However, where does that leave all the rest of us who are mid-game and chasing our tails? In my particular case, back in the day (2013) I was chasing after top prizes each cycle (eg. coining pretty heavily). The game had become one of my top discretionary spend items every month just to keep pace. But with young crumb crunchers (eg. mouths to feed) at home it was unsustainable. So after a cost accounting, value analysis and maybe more importantly the mass exodus of our clan to other less expensive + more stable games (remember all the near-unplayable raid cycles back in 2013?), I just left my base the way it was and logged off for good (or so I thought).
Long story short, after a 4-year hiatus I came back, maybe out of curiosity or nostalgia I'm not sure, but since mid-June I've cranked on catching up w/ all the researches and upgrades needed to be fit to fight again. I made a bunch of progress and got excited about playing again. I started building punishers (somehow I'd received a number of hull bp's like novas and cits), but lacked the top new tech to install. Then last month's raid got me some of the good stuff, so I began trying to fit retrofits into a build plan for upcoming events... so many builds, so little time right ?!
Problem is, nothing about the game has fundamentally changed. Sure, the hulls are all new and speedy, the parts & pieces are much more snazzy, but the basic premise is still that we're kept with our noses just above the water line every month. And those who can't keep up fall behind and never seem to ever ever have the chance to really catch up - and they get farmed as a result. For the vast majority of us there are far too many distractions, and confusion about whether to build for our weekly/monthly tasks or for achievements and prizes. Nobody has introduced us to the Oracle.
My beef with your message (quoted above) is that I'm not sure where you're seeing all the "free build tokens" being thrown at us (?) but I certainly haven't seen them. Maybe at lvl 60 I'm too low down the totem pole? Most I've seen is the FM tier prize of 5 free tokens for the punisher build, but the rest of the build tokens are far down the prize list for tiers 4 and 5, both of which are pretty far beyond my reach with the modest fleets I've had the time to build in the past few weeks. Oh, and the raid prize token options only cost a cool million each - if you can get that far and have change left over after getting much needed anti's or other techs needed to complete one build or another. At this rate it'll take years to "catch up" without coining at least one major fleet (@ ~$300 before buying legendary ranking on all 4 or 5 hulls for ~$200 more).
So besides being disappointed a bit, I'm curious to learn how average players, who don't trade a body part each month for coin to take advantage of "special offers", are supposed to arrive at a plateau of peace and tranquility like the one you're perched upon playing the game. Not everyone has their first toe hold, much less being only one or two minor mistakes away from peak performance in decision making like you are. Most of us are still trying to figure out which fleets are supposed to be built & used for each daily/weekly/monthly/cycle challenge, and how we're supposed to get entire fleets built and ranked prior to the next event or update while simultaneously building for the FM's and other chores.
Thoughts?
War games are a great time waster, for those who have more cents than whit...
So people complained about it back then....then why in the hell would kix make the same mistake for the thousand time? It's obvious kix doesn't learn from their mistakes.
Nobody is forcing anyone to do anything, but most relationships should not be forced, those based on trust usually thrive.
its easier than ever to get everything.
if you have a are prepared to put in a little research.
isn't that sort of the point of conservativism? same ol', same ol', at any cost, as long as it's not the cost of white christian men?
I think this is a common misconception. You don't need everything to do well.
- Skirmish: got some assistance from my alliance and got the Hellwraith. Finished that raid cycle doing S-sets, but chose to fill up my tech holes rather than get the Canoneer. Never got the Tideseekers.
- Point 1: having a good alliance to help you get to the top in a single raid cycle can make a world of difference. Having the HWs set me up for future rounds of TLCs, which got me hulls in the next cycle (Spites, Ironclads)
- Point 2: Tideseekers - while awesome - aren't mandatory with the HWs. Likewise, I could have gotten TS's with a Harlock's TS and skipped the HWs.
- Point 3: Missing the Canoneer was a tradeoff.
- Siege: Got the Ironclads, but wasn't super thrilled with them. Decided to focus on getting ready for the hull store raid. Grinded the first raid and got the Canoneer; grinded the second raid and got the Pride and the Harlock's.
- Point 1: Sure, I now have two Siege fleets, but most of the Ironclads were built for free, and I used them as a stepping stone to get the Canoneers - which were a lot better. I also stopped investing in the Ironclads: sunk cost fallacy applies here. The miss on the Canoneers "set me back" a raid, but the technology wasn't really needed (Alpha Behemoth) - and I ended up picking it up later anyway.
- Point 2: If you "miss" something, focus on the hull store raid.
- Point 3: Getting the top end fleet again set me up for the next raid cycle with the TLCs.
- Point 4: Even though Ironclads were bust for the overall raid cycle, they've were fantastic for hitting the old 97s and DUBs. Even now, they're my go to Uranium hull. So even "misses" are useful. And they ended up costing me very little.
- Point 5: Even though I got the Pride, I didn't build it.
- Garrison: Icebreakers were a disappointment. So I used my Zelos/Cits to grind A sets, built a single Mono (for free, gotten from the TLC), and got the Gridiron. I've ignored Icebreakers, and instead just built up my Monos using only free tokens.
- Point 1: Icebreakers may be lackluster, but they have been great in the old 102s (auto) and in the Homeland TLC. So I use them for that.
- Point 2: Monos have been built completely free with all of the tokens they've thrown at us. I even burned the 20 day Gridiron token on a 3 day refit, because that's all I needed it for. Crazy.
- Point 3: Because after the Icebreaker bust my new fleet has been built mostly free, I've been able to focus on completing out Conquerers (refitting Sloths/Gluts) and my base defense fleet.
Things I don't have:- Tideseekers (at all)
- Any kind of Assault fleet (but will get that this hull store raid). That means my Mega is sitting all lonesome, but so what? I know I'm going to catch up soon in this hull store raid, and probably be able to auto the current Megas better than Apollos.
- Completed Ironclad fleet - but what I have does DUBs just fine
- Completed Icebreaker fleet - but I really don't care
- Oppressors - no Assault fleet, so I couldn't get them - but was easily able to get Sloths and I was doing just fine without a Conquerer Mortar fleet
- "Perfect" Muddle Gluts - but the three I have were built totally for free and still wreck #*&$ up
- "Perfect" Liberators - up to three now, built totally for free, and still work well enough
And all of this is being done at roughly 100 coins per month - which is mostly to cover up my mistakes when I drive like a drunken sailor. So I'm sorry, I just don't buy all of the "there's too much content, we can't keep up" arguments. Yes, you have to play the game, but holy crap people - when the game company is throwing free build tokens at you constantly, what do you want?
maybe they just need to eat a good Brooklyn pizza or a Chicago deep dish and> @Laredo said:
How many of those are really players? And why play if you hate it?
Sorry mate but you are full of **** back then you could actually defend you base and the ships were not so overpowered we had 4 base weapons that could hold off attacks now you have 50 and cant hardly damage some ships. Sorry but the fun days are long gone and now glitch is millions richer well it is all about getting you suckers to spend big on crap that will be obsolete weeks later.
My spend rate per million raid points is far less than it used to be.
there is always an ebb and flow between attack and defence. always has been. and always must be.
you are 100% right.
Thoughts?
