ya thats big problem building ships need 5 different fleets but only build 1 ship at time then take time for refit it got be something they could do like a building for builds only and a building for refits only

you have veruca salt syndrome....you want everything and you WANT IT NOW!

you're a level 52. Hate to break it to you, the game doesnt work that way. When you get caught up on FM (you have a FM fleet, right?) then you get tokens....which speeds up build times...

Something I never had at level 40 when I was fair game to level 40 to 129....back long ago...tokens....and base parts....and retrofits....etc.

back long ago we didnt have the chores we do now nor the need to have specific fleets to hit specific targets or the need to build the latest greatest hull right away only to be able not to use in the next cycle or target to the point that if you dont start massively coining youll fall behind and be left in the dust and im sorry but there is no way newer players im including lvl 50s in this can use the research stuff to do the new upcoming fm targets in a manner that the fm can benifit them the game has advanced so much that research tech is useless and needs to be updated to give new players a chance they dont all want it now but they would like a chance to at least try to get it period

back long ago you needed the latest ship from the latest raid to compete in the next raid. your ships were not necesarily good for 2 or 3 raids, they were sometimes good for only one.

of course a new player can catch up. if they are a decent strategy gamer they could do it for free even.

I am wondering what and who they were listening to as most of my fellow players have complained about the cost of the game and that it's becoming way too expensive and that Kix is greedy.  Sure this game has changed a lot over the past number of years and we would expect that but it's lost it's appeal and losing players of long standing.  Listening?  Really?

Well, all I can tell you is that I am not spending any more than I ever have- same budget for the last 6 years.  You have to pick and chose how you play the game.  Sure, if you want bleeding edge tech its going to be very expensive- but if you pace yourself a bit and build over time rather than reacting to each new development, you may find that to be a more prudent and budget conscious approach.  For instance I am just now midway into building an IB fleet and hope it will be competitive in FM going forward.  There was no way I was going to spend the coin and seat time when it first came out- what....? at 60 million raid points?  Not on my "b" tier beer budget...

Once again Kix jumps into the 113s b4 they said they were took out the 109s that were just beginning to be doable with a new target that unless you coined the hell outta ships no way you had them ready then as was mentioned videos on you tube how to do them with full fleets of new ships fully skulled what good does that do for the standard player that has stuck with the game for years ?
none Keep driving players away & loose even more paying players. Kix pull your heads outta u know where & stop destroying the game

Go to utube, and watch some vids of players hitting the raid targets from April. I have only done level 1 and 2 so far and they are all level 80's raid targets with the last one in level 2 being the 112.

Your fleet is more than capable of at least getting both the first levels, if driven well for very little damage. Just those two levels sets you up very nicely with Mono's and weapons and 15 days worth of build tokens.

This here is the problem :

We want to play a game.

We don't want to go study utube vids.

We don't want to study blogs.

We don't want to graduate in Kixology to become a Fuxoholigist.

Especially after playing for a long time.

If you're good at strategy games, you don't have to do any of these things.

It's not just a BP thing either. If you're bad at Civ, you're probably going to have to look for external sources. If you're bad at Warframe, you're probably going to have to study other players' builds. If you're bad at Pokemon or Yugioh or Vanguard or Magic, you're probably going to have to look up other people's decks and why they're built the way they are. If you're bad at chess, you're going to have to do some studying.

If you're bad at strategy games, you are going to have to do research to do well in strategy games. It is that simple.
I'm starting to understand Magic Bunny's perspective...

Game is in a uncontrollable death spiral. Cannot be stopped now. Kix has milked the cow till her **** are bleeding. No fun. All chores. Too expensive for little to mod coiners. Overload of content. Fan base is not happy. Any you think otherwise got their head in the clouds. Won't be long now.

failure to understand basic economics cataloged and promptly thrown in the recycle bin.

good luck in your future endeavors.

This is a great game that is slowly being suffocated by the over-abundance of hulls, power swings and chores requiring huge amounts of seat time to accomplish. Great to see a base hitting revival and if a longer raid cycle was reintroduced, a more balanced approach, something to allow the little guys to be successful, and the ability to take the grind out of the chores it could be great once again.

If Kixeye is laser focussed on listening then here are some things I think you need to listen to:
    1. Communication needs to be regular and clear. We also need better notice and a monthly calendar of upcoming changes.
    2. Content overload is exhausting players and making the game too complicated for many.
    3. There is still way too much grind and chores in the game.
    4. The massive power swings in PVP are driving people out of the game. Now more so than ever.
    5. You need to fix forums. The toxic environment is distancing Kixeye from players and reducing both community feedback and engagement.

Most players I play with are barely hanging in with a thread of hope right now and 2017 has been a real disappointment, after positive changes in 2016. The rest have gone inactive.
Well said!  A few years ago, it seemed that there was an average of about 90K players online at any given time (per the counter on kixeye.com).  Now it's around 50K.  So the unfortunate reality is that Kixeye is not interested in addressing your points and developing a large community of diverse players, but rather catering to a smaller group who dedicates considerable time and/or money to the game and who are not bothered by the increasing complexity, chores, and disparities in the game.  And this captain is one of those exhausted players who hoped for good things in 2016, but is still frustrated at the diminishing fun, tired of holding out hope for Kixeye, and ready to move on to other things like so many others.

I'm sorry but i dont believe any of it kix has promised a lot of things for years but look  the power creep is still here the long build times haven't gotten any shorter as a matter of fact its longer now than it ever has been. And there is no way you can make me believe that any of this is going to make it better for the middle to low end players at all. we cant do any of the tlc's or get the lvl 5 fm and thats not right. There good at telling you what you want to hear but so far there not worth a **** at doing what they say there gonna do. Show me you can fix a lot of the glitches and fixing the bull chit that has been broke for more than 2 or 3 years thin ill think about believing you kix untill thin your just blowing wind out your azz.

You need the tech in Call to Arms to get the tech in Call to Arms. You have done this before Kix and apparently did not figure out how stupid it was the times you did it before.

a fast tank with 98 range is prolly the most critical element here

this is a dichotomy that far predates BP.

developers have to balance for the munchkins who will throw everything they have at solving for content.

they have to balance for the indiscretion of players who solve for content and then share with the next tier down.

the rest is just scaled out. the "problem" that is perceived is players who don't want to put in those kinds of resources but want to still enjoy everything that's been developed.

no one has figured this out yet and, frankly, i don't think the solution exists because the problem itself is irrational.

right now, all those that are coiners, are the leaders in the medals. so i am sure that the

    BOUNTY HUNT EVENTS

is made for them, non coiners have almost no chances to be compared with them, so skills and expertise is not much needed in this kind of events .

I'm sure @TheHolsh will mention how he's a non coiner and he has 600+ medals at this point....

I see the problem with such an event being more of a time issue and less about coins....

Umm, I am a non coiner and I am in the top 10 in medals, so your initial statement is wrong.

To be honest, the last "3 hour window" where they say bubbles won't be on is the thing that frightens me the most... I don't know how they will make that true, but that alone will give coiners the advantage at the end since you can not wait for your base/guard to repair...

so kix will bring something out that will probably counters gluts with those stupid missile/corrosive crap things, by that time who knows how pissed off game players will be, I dont want to trawl through hours of forum pages trying to find a solution to the current base flattening issue and if i did find it I probably wouldnt have the tech to resolve, I spend quite a bit on this game but still dont get or build everything. I would think I am probably the bread a butter player not the jam filling, the thing is you need some bread and butter for the filling - the guy earlier in this thread that said we just want to play a game not have a degree to try and work things out or spend hours watching youtube vids is spot on

The Harlocks Alpha is a great counter to them. Make sure to have pinch resist and if you have one, place it near an anti rocketeer turret. The Harlock is currently available in the Alpha defence TLC along with some build and vxp tokens.

people said the same when the 109 was released....we all adapted.

I find the 113 much easier to do than the 109 at its release

    wrong.

i am doing the 113s with the same fleet i did 109s with, the same fleet i've been doing the current raids with, no extra coining.

the numbers you place so much stock in also included the many hackers and cheaters that infested the game until kix cleaned them out.

those numbers have been very steady of late and have even increased a bit.

    ...

I know from experience that when Kixeye say they are listening, it is to very few players and often the wrong people. Those who claim to speak on behalf of the community don't even bother to ask what the community thinks and their personal opinions seldom reflect those of most players I know. Kixeye seem more interested in feedback that supports what they have already decided. As a company they also appear to be fixated with data and revenue and have little to no focus on customer experience or satisfaction.

    ...

Who would you like them to listen to? There are three shows and three blogs. Take your pick from all those involved. Who do you want? Maybe that's where you need to begin. Promote a liaison.
