Matchmaking has recently improved with less reward for those attacking lower leveled players and greater reward for attacking higher leveled players. This is a great 1st step towards improvement.
However it appears that for those of us players who have at 90+% attack win ratio, we are penalized to the point of not being able to progress at all (literally "at all"). Recently a level 51 slaughtered a member of my team who is only a level 28. This is a difference of 23 levels. Though he may not have robbed my teammate of as high a percentage of resources as prior to the 2.15 patch, he will STILL never be able to promote his big ticket items to full capacity. Now we may loose less, but when holding on to a large quantity of resources, we are hit more frequently by these behemoths. This is the same problem that all of our team faces. This is where KIXEYE answers "just get out your credit card". This is where I answer "If there is no other way to progress, then I will NEVER spend a penny on this game till it gets fixed".
Another member of our team has decided to intentionally loose to lower his attack win ratio so that he can be more fairly matched with players somewhat closer to level. I use the word "somewhat" because he is still matched with players who are 20+ levels above him. Is this the type of game you intended to develop? One that rewards players to loose? INCREDIBLE!
KIXEYE, do you guys even read these comments? Because it sure doesn't seem like you do. This has been ongoing for over 1 month now, and still your fan base holds on HOPING & PRAYING that change will come. I wonder how many GOOD players have left you?
