The intro screen states that it is recommended to use Garrison or Conqueror hulls. When I engage the target with a Conqueror class hull the screen states that I am attacking with a disallowed hull.
You better stand tall when they're calling you out! Don't bend, don't break Baby, don't back down! (Bon Jovi)
yeah don't believe your lying eyes. Everything is presented as intended, you are just to dumb to realize it. PS_ No personal offense to the OP, I was being sarcastic and I've noticed many people suffer from sarcasm detection deficiency syndrome so I figured I would add the disclaimer.
Targets 5 and 7 use conq. Takes less than 5 minutes to read the release notes and see that.
This is correct.
And there is even a message that says that in the pre-combat screen.
The recommendation is for the campaign, not each individual target. And since most of the targets restrict the Conqueror hulls, you should use a Garrison fleet for those.

It doesn't state either/or, it just states that both can be used, which is true. Some are garrison, some are conq.
Granted it could be clearer on the pop up screen, but you only need to try and be denied to work out what works where.
It's a lot like the 80's, where microwave companies had to add a disclaimer to their products, stating that it was not to be used to dry damp pets, because some daft old crone tried to dry her poodle in one...BOOM! Don't be the daft old crone in this situation and work stuff out for yourself.
Coming Soon in Kixeye land means "When Satan need to put the heating on"
not that im lazy.. but i feel read the important **** and not all the crap that is on things now a days(itnot a contract) ... instead pointing finger and saying read.. what cant it just be the important **** put up there instead the "read the fine print crap". ill bet 75% people playing theses games me included dont read all the little frames all the time .. that leads to this stuff... keep it simple its a game not a dam job... or is it
So I tried the new campaign, wasn't really sure what to expect.
To my surprise there was a fleet of ships in a garrison target that move around. I quickly realised they were helping me, great always nice to have allies in our fight against the enemy. But sadly these allies are morons and are attacking a garrison target with assault class ships. Within a few seconds they are dead, rip comrades. You should have read the state of the game threads where the change to ship categories was clearly laid out.

Really? We're really going to complain about having to read something - with a tone that appears to equate it to having to pick up dog ****? reading is not just for a "job."
it is part of our daily life
it is part of how we "learn."
there is no fine print here
there is a weekly release which provides information on what is going to happen, how it is going to work, and what you're going to get by doing it for this game, this is the "important ****" it comes out once a week it takes all of five minutes to read
six if you have to move your lips....
this is a combat strategy game....
the good ones tend to be a bit complex
if you want something simpler....maybe try "Clash of Clans" on your mobile phone. I would still recommend reading the instructions first.
i love KB ninjas. you make me laugh.. as i stated i didnt feel like reading it all i wanted to hit it.. not see how it was created as a story.. in red it clearly said.. and red is often to gather the attention garrison and concur RECOMMENDED. excuse me if i didnt read all of it to find out the "in red" attention use of bla bla really didnt mean **** and you cant use what they recommend in the first place... so why put it there...
tried twice & failed twice - guess I don't have the right "fleets" to do it - yet again, Kix dangles a carrot to make players coin more, so that only those who've spent a small fortune on the game can get the good prizes

You mean you didn't get the memo?
Battle Pirates is not a game - it's a lifestyle choice!
In a game like BP the hardest targets should be other players, not the AI targets!
"Best of luck, Captains! And may the odds be ever in your favour..."
Raids Boycotted: Hellstrike, Lightning Carrier, Enforcer, Neptune- and at this rate, the entire upcoming Reaver raid series.
First played: Shortly After Revenge Raid 2
Target's 1 through 4 and number 6 used garrison.

Other than good campaign I enjoyed it.
