launch air attacks

I am lvl 26 can anyone tell me at what point in the game can i launch air attacks....i have 2 air fleets but unable to launch...ie no deploy from inside base and cant identify the them from outside base, the only units i can deploy are the ground forces!!!!!

    Air is only for attacking try hit a rouge base then look for air to deploy. You can't use it when defending.

    When you atack whitch ground forces and get inside a base, at the left side of your screen a pulldown menu pops up. Select your airstuff.
