Suggestion for a new Weapon

Name: Vulcan Driver
Weapon Class: Projectile
Range: 1000 - 4500 meters
Speed: 2500 m/s
DPS: T1-20 / T2-33 / T3-62
Mass: T1-370 / T2-520 / T3-710
Piercing: 1

Description:
Compareable with the Gatling Ray the Vulcan Driver is a hydraulically driven, multibarrel Autocannon with an extremely high firerate. Due to its unique cooling system the Vulcan Driver is able to fire constantly projectile ammunition wich can punch through a single Target.

Personal Note:
In my Opinion theres a lack of a real gatling cannon in the actual armory.
What do u think about it?

    I've designed some concept art for the Vulcan Driver. Keep in mind its still WIP:


    On a serious note, it can work, but knowing kixeye they would restrict it to DC only, and that would limit its usefulness
    If it were Iron star only, that would work better

    Eh destroyer... if you noticed the range T3 vulcan on destroyer equals pretty much death to bases

    just existing at this point

    Doubtful - its range is less than archer/arc, and dps barely worth it. Extra pierce doesnt matter either

    Still rapid fire (also how the hell is 62 dps for 710 tons not worth it?)

    Is it just me or are the roles of energy/explosive and projectile weapons getting reversed?

    Before:
    Energy: Short range, high DPS, high accuracy
    Explosive: Medium range, medium DPS w/ AoE, poor accuracy
    Projectile: Long range, low DPS, can be equipped w/ phased, poor accuracy

    Now:
    Energy: Long range, high DPS, high accuracy
    Explosive: Medium range, medium DPS w/ AoE, medium accuracy
    Projectile: Low range, high DPS, medium accuracy

    nice idea,
    but i was waiting for a frigate only weapon, something that would make the frig interesting again in FVF. so i hope it wont be this weap

    also, since they are capable of introducing class only of ship type only. this weapon might be fun to gain stat:

    ''not capable on destroyer''

    or cruiser on my part.
    to not give it to one specific class, but to hold it back from one

    Thx for your feedback. This weapon is not planned with any faction restrictions and it would not make any sense for it.
