A long range high speed projectile weapon fitted for only Battleships. Dps for teir 1 22 teir 2 44 teir 3 62. It would also have a 10% armour damage bonus reaching a maximum of 15%. The speed is what would make this weapon 3000 m/s as well as a maximum range of 3750 and no minimum range. Effectively bringing projectilea back into the running without making them over powering.

    Also the dps would have to be modified slightly maybe more like 22,33,& 55 only because the speed.

    dps is too high for a long range weapon

    No with Aurora beam and focus optics that is too high then too. Its the reason projectiles fell off this would make them a viable weapon again. But like I said in my second post adjust it to fit properly it would work. But I also see where you're coming from.

    IMO a set of projectile with 25, 45, 55; 600 weight,5000 range,3000 speed, no minimum,  plus reduce the weight by 50% for Mass Drivers. to give noobs some firepower.  Not op because of so many misses.  It takes more skill especially at long range.  Projectiles miss a lot   It can bring back long range play.  It gives middle and noob players some chances.

    Thats what I would like to see even if the dps was dropped some it would bring back the range fighting i agree and the weight is what I forgot thank you for adding that.

    Here I've rearranged some things
    Teir 1: Range: 3750 Speed: 3000 m/s mass: 330 DPS: 20 shield bypass: 15%
    Teir 2: Range: 3750 Speed: 3000 m/s mass: 495 DPS: 32 shield bypass: 17%
    Teir 3: Range 3750 Speed: 3000 m/s mass: 745 DPS: 44 shield bypass: 20%
    Battleship only
    Fires 1 projectile from a large barrel. This should make things more on a level playing field with projectiles.

    Remove that battleship only then i might consider it good

    Rate of fire is another issue.  Many projectiles are slow in rate of fire.

    I suppose rate of fire would be 1/3.5 sec or so

    The only reason for Battleships only is if it was equipped to a destroyer the range would be too great, and with how broken that "counter" system is it would just make a new way to kill bases. 1.5x3750=5625. Maybe have an all except destroyers. I can work out some other compromise, but then I'd have to rework the entire weapon.

    That is best that could be done. The reason for the shield bypass increase is the decrease in range to make up for the loss of range. The speed increase is for the sake of what ship it may be attached to.

    I dont give a ****... destroyer range is ridiculous with any weapon 3500+ so it dont matter. Also what if i want it on cruisers or frigates?

    Range of less than 5000 makes it just like energy so why bother.    Bringing back tactical battles is the point forcing this into 18th century sailing ship battles is not fun either.    We also need a larger arena.

    Larger arena just means easier escape. The way weapons should be is projectiles are long range low dps UNLESS its for basing where it can be long range medium dps (or similar to siege) missiles medium range medium dps with their special aoe, and energy low range high dps and with optics shouldnt get anywhere near projectiles range... it should max at like 4k or something

    Just make the already implemented long range projectile, aka Wave, AP and Gladius, alawys hit, deal higher damage and give them more phased effect.

    I would love for projectiles to always hit its why i set the speed so high.

    No need for cursing. You asked for a only Battleships to be removed. So that is the best way to make that happen without making them overpowering. This is also just an idea. If you have no intent on giving positive feedback or suggestions that could improve projectiles please refrain from using such language.

    Well excuse my language and the weapon is fine :P but it should be for all hulls (also arent projectiles technically designed to be on any hull do to their medium to high range?)

    Yes, However with how much they miss they need to be redone or get rid of them entirely. They are useless in PvP even the new storm driver and Tempest they just don't have the range needed to be effective. Personally I like them, but with how horrible they are in combat i dont even bother unless it's a "friendly" fight.

    Drivers... specifically the gladius driver used to be the best fvf weapons in game... along with cruisers. Before cutters a cruiser with gladius drivers could wipe out pretty much any fleet except itself do to the ability to hit and run. That was destroyed when cutters were introduced along with burst ray. And after a while drivers declined... turned into energy battles with battleships (echo+arrestor build) and is now cutters or battleships using only a couple weapons. Game lost its diversity ages ago
