BYM died because of MR3. If we could just bring MR2 back somehow, even if EVERYTHING is reset, the game may come back.

Why haven't this game been their top priority when it went so well?  If their should be any blame. Kixeye is the blame of the down fall of BYM. I say Yes it should be back considering the popularity back than.

Backyard Monsters was the only game on Facebook I wasted real money.  I have tried Kxye's other games and they don't even come close to being fun.  If you brought back Backyard monsters in its original condition your subs would be 10x fold. It shows  only  65,000 players on.  Didn't Backyard monsters do better then all kixeyes games combined?

With the innovations of VC being cross platform and having a collection of lessons learned from BYM, War Commander, and BP/VC.  I really believe that BYM can be reborn into a stronger game.  It will suck having to build back up, but the game was crazy fun and served as a blue print for other successful titles such as Boom Beach and Clash of Clans.  BYM appeal goes beyond those two previous titles as lets face it, neo nazi or cult figures are no where near as fun as the stuff that comes out your nose. 


BYM can dominate if given a make-over and proper support.  The title was largely successful and I think BYM has enough name power in the hearts of Kixeye fans to give the game another chance with a VC make-over.  It would truely be epic as you could explore a whole new aspect of multiple player PVP RTS.

My base is still sticking around as well. I refuse to let KIXEYE delete my yard under any circumstances.

I doubt that would be enough to set BYM back on a trek towards glory. Whilst Im sure it would do alot, especially as ditching World Map 2 was a huge misstep in the eyes of most players (me personally, I actually enjoyed the new map alot) it wouldn't be enough.
There's a fair few bugs that would need ironing out for one. And for another, it would need players. I don't think just reverting a map would suddenly make everything OK again.

I wouldn't be so sure. A while back my old clan just decided to hop on and play for a while again. We had fun, but we only made it like a week and a half because the new map was so buggy and frustrating to use. I think we would have gone a lot longer on MR2. Of course, this doesn't really matter since it won't happen.

Perhaps, but still. Just reverting the map won't cause everyone to flood back in-game. KIXEYE would likely need to work to promote the game and whatnot. Changing back the map would maybe just keep returning players from leaving again.
Question Yard. Aside from the apparent bugginess you've mentioned, why don't you like the new World Map? What was bad about it, or made the previous map better in your book?
Also, Is your yard still alive in the game like mine is then Yard? If it is, can ya post a screenshot or something, I wanna see how you've laid out your base.

Of course, people won't flood back in. But I've been surprised by the sheer number who still remember the game and come here asking for it to be updated - if they did, some people would probably return.

I didn't hate the new map, it was just buggy as hell, and overall I think the old map catered better to the type of players Kixeye wanted to retain (massive empire builders for one).

My yard is still alive. I'll post a pic later. If I don't, remind me.
