there are many situations where a player would like to increase the projectile speed. in this case the player uses the explosive system 4, given that it boosts the projectile(munition) speed of all guns. the downside of this special is that it has some other improvements that are not needed.


so i would suggest to make a special that is purposely designed to improve the projectile speed.
as u can see in the image, the special increases the weapon weight by 25% what is very much.

for example there is the interception system which is used by some players to supercharge the launcher and increase a bit the combat speed but there is also the gauss supercharge which only  supercharge the launcher.

    Another projectile-speed improvement will make scourge torpedoes (among other things) even more overpowered. Projectile speed was up until recently the last balanced feature of the game. Asking for a way to nerf driving tactics against unguided weapons will simply result in 40 becoming the new 30 combat speed, and yet more expensive hulls will become garbage as the game's PvE content is then re-calibrated.

    what the projectile speed has to do with the combat speed?

    Just as evade can make guided weapons miss their mark, high combat speed is the key to avoiding unguided weapons. That's why everyone recommends building ships with >35 combat speed to take on Draconian Armadas: their rail guns will miss!

    Buffing one (projectile speed or combat speed) effectively nerfs the other so a new weapon is introduced to counterbalance. Problem is, Kixeye doesn't balance test their stuff well, they just raise the stats too much and don't configure other counters. That's Power Creep.

    ES4 Lockdown Dragonfire mixed Goresabers with speed Sys 5 and Cluster WH 3 is literally hell as is. if they are permitted to remove the Lockdowns rockets will be the new FVF meta.
