So after comparing the new weapon with the big work horse weapon that a lot of players have been using lately i'm not quite impressed. The number of areas that the blades beat the new weapon is almost staggering. It weighs less, has a longer max range, a shorter minimum range (which I know doesn't matter too much), more base damage, quicker reload, higher accuracy (if what we've been told is correct regarding the 80% accuracy of the railgun), but then we get to the innate advantages missiles have over the railgun weapon class, the blade missile automatically tracks fast moving ships, AND they can hit subs. Honestly the only advantage I can see the D-110 having is it's pierce attribute, but unless you are fighting stacked/trained targets that won't really come into play.
5 cobra scatterguns is not enuff for 1 boat please review that and up it to 20 minimum
I remember when they came out as a fallback prize..... everyone hated them.
The few that could kill vanguards efficiently (or had coin to burn) hated that they got hundreds of them. They also hated that they were getting fallback prizes instead of hellstars or crawlers. Those that took another raid or two to have a vanguard killing fleet (most of the gaming community) were left in the cold and are in need of them. Once again you miss the mark. Perspective is a terrible thing to waste.

No, YOU can. I can get one, but I simply choose to spend my U on retrofitting components and hulls. Many players will never be able to accumulate the lifetime 2M Uranium, plus about three months' research time, all with a little target on their backs, in order to get one.
Back to the other maths I did, to put the new weapon on or not to?
Not sure yet. The numbers appear a little weak on the new weapon.
to get the best use out of this hull it might be a mix of both weapons but dont know since their is no accurecy listed for new weapon and it has spread like morts
Yeah, we're really not sure how well the new weapon will function. It's spread is confusing, and I don't like it. I guess against fast moving targets, it'll be better than Arbalests since it's accuracy-based and you'd have a better chance of some shots landing? But against buildings, I'm wondering if the Arbalest would be the wiser choice? I really don't know yet...
Honestly, I think that people should simply stick with the Arbalest. Granted, there may be times when you can fit in another Drac Railgun, but that really doesn't matter too much. My advice is to get the Hull and if you don't have any Railguns yet, get the Arbalest in the FM Tier 3. Unless Kixeye bumps up the Damage on the Drac Railgun, its not worth going after.

Just have to find and take bases with that little disk, more than they hit yours You can knock off 6 days of research in a day or two if you are lucky and find the right bases to hit. I love, love, love that little disk.
Uranium is just about right now with the changes they made. I could use a few more as we are able to keep up with spawn rate stilll, but it is ok and much better than it was.
Im surprised they have tridents in this raid.... its basically pointless and was out did right after the raid it was in with the blades. BTW FOR THOSE WHO GET IT THE COUNTERMEASURES DONT WORK ON REMOTE TARGET HULLS. found that out the hard way and if the missile range is higher than the countermeasure range
If you have it on a Remote Targeting Ship such as the Mastodon, you can use a higher Range Missile such as the Blade in order to self-Remote Target. However, the Trident Missile doesn't have Penetrative Defence Bypass like the Harrier does.
please for the love of the game...get rid of the LIMITED option.....for that many points give the BP NOT just 1 cobra to be used only once......one reason raid is not worth doing, let alone other repeat game issues,,,,,,,put in a ticket and wait for an answer after raid in done.....hull to be won????not worth trying for with all the new hulls out there......and don't get me started on build and repair times......REFIT dock...how many times do players need to ask?????????
The Limited Blueprints are there because they are so powerful. If you were to build a fleet of 4 Tiger Sharks and 1 Phantom Tiger Shark with 50 Cobra Scatterguns, then you would be overpowered. So Kixeye tries to balance it out by only letting you redeem one at a time. Now, you may disagree with the amount of redemptions per $$$, but that's out of my hands.
If the punisher has a 40% increase in range. What is it with nuclear accelerators with the new gun or arb? And yes I'm lazy

Pierce range is greater. Personnally I think that's an overrated stat.
By my figures if you hit a frontline turret at max range, the pierce will go over 180, 97 pierce range. this will rip up bases from the outside
Pierce range on the new weapon is the same as the Arbalest. Nothing to see here...
I was referring to the 35 pierce range boost, by the hull. That is 35, so added to the 62 is 97 range on the pierce. If you hit something on the edge of the 95 range, that's about 192 range total counting the pierce. everything inline with that shot gets damaged. that is longer range than the executioners. In theory you could hit, them before they hit you
On paper, it looks,stupidly overpowered. In reality, the weapon has very narrow swath of damage. Unless everything is perfectly lined up, the further away from the target the less likely it hits.

Not to mention that the Drac Railgun also has a boost to Armour Points, which is not good on insta-repair Ships like the Sea Wolf, and that it automatically has a Spread factor, which realistically reduces its Accuracy even further.

you are correct, why anyone over level 70 does not have one of the most important hulls in the game is a huge mystery. This one hull can lower your repair times 40%.

Not to mention that even with the 100% damage boost on the punisher, the dmg is way too low to do much damage to ships with assault deflection. Might be better off running Arbs still, or even Crossbows.
Then again, these things never work as expected, and it will likely be more powerful than I think. So I'll just save my coin and wait till some other chump builds one first (or hits me with one) to see whether its worth it to use the new weapon. I will be building a Punisher tank though to replace my HC.....
What I don't see are the build times. The repair times look good.
If you built five of them with 10 of the new rail guns each, you're looking at 2 hours repair for each ship, or 4 per hull, 20 for a fleet which would be a step in the right direction for repair times. However, when you start adding in the armor and specials, it's going to be another 30+ coin fleet to repair.
If Kixeye really wants to do something good that is long overdue, reduce the repair times on specials by 50% across the board.
