Agent, I got your PM. You've been out of the game for a long time. Suggest you start playing the game and becoming more active
For those who are curious, Covehomer, refers to the act of a San Francisco Giant hitting a home run over the right field fence and into the SF Bay called McCovey Cove.
I'm sure being a mod is a very fun thing to do. But yet wouldn't you need alot of free time or no?
The community is a harsh place, and its gonna stay harsh no matter what you do. Many people that play War Commander dislike the game, but still play it. They don't know how to leave, and move on. Also, say that you remove all hacks. Hackers are gonna be having rants. The harsh community will never end. Anywho, you need to be:
Active
Post more
Be able to communicate with people. This way, if you get put on blast (Haha, my name) you need to have the will not to reply. You're job is to be a mod on the forums. Locking, moving posts, etc.
Not sure, but you need to have learned proper English. What this means: Grammar, Spelling, Punctuation, etc.
An other thing to note.
Being a mod is a free job. You don't get paid money. You are asked by KIXEYE to do that as your job. The only payment you get is you have new mod friends, and a nice beautiful blue name text.
Why would you want to be a moderator? They catch all the hell from the players because of the problems in the game.
why wouldnt you, you get to work with me, and come on, im fabulous
What are some benefits of being a mod?
Do you count the pretty much guaranteed chance of being verbally assaulted by hordes of pissed off players who are deluded into thinking mods are paid employee's of KIXEYE when in reality their just ordinary players, as a benefit of modding? And also the fact that you don't get paid or any real recognition or acknowledgement for your work of moderating what Im beginning to consider a cesspool known as the War Commander forums? Cause those are the closest to any benefit of being a mod.

New mod friends hated by the community, talk to KIXEYE staff, and a nice cool beautiful blue name. Thats it. Not very special, but if I was offered a moderator spot I would have to think about it, but in the end the answer would probably be no. I don't know how the mod system works in terms of hours, and requirements and all.

Pretty sure you do the modding whenever you want. Thats just my guess though. Ask an actual mod. They can clarify.

Can't imagine would want to mod these days. I wanted to mod once upon a time but then I realise that the job sucked and wasn't worth the effort. As the forums deteriorate further, the job probably gets worse for the mods as well. Players coming out of the woodwork to **** about things. I often wonder why the mods keep the position. Perhaps Agent_Ghost just wants some power on the forums or something. Who knows.

i love arguing with people on forums, and when some players mssg me with ill intent, that my fav, also just helping people out in general
you challenge me in forums?then be prepared to lose.
I'd recommend helping people when you can. Activity is one thing, but they generally look for positive members of the community who show they can deal with people reasonably. It doesn't have to be big things, just stuff like telling people where support is when they ask, answering people's questions about the game, flagging spammers, etcetera. Way back when, I was part of a small group of forumers who essentially managed BYM's wishlist forums, in an attempt to stop the same repeated suggestions being posted and establish some posting etiquette, and all four of us eventually became mods. At the time, I think all, or at least most, of the other mods were active in the support sections helping people out.
As for perks, it's pretty much been said, shiny blue name, and you can use those blue unicorn avatars without being an impersonator as well. You also get to talk to KIXEYE employees. It's already been alluded to that there are drawbacks too, but if you can stand being accused of being a KIXEYE shill and the like, you've got nothing to worry about. The PM spam takes some getting used to though, I kept getting PMs every week with support questions for games I didn't even play for months after I stopped actively moderating.

Out of curiosity, do you still get the occasional spam today Yard? Or has that stopped since its been a long time since you were a mod?

Stopped now. I got them for a ridiculously long time tough, I don't know how half those people even knew of my existence.
I will be brief, and once the case so to speak.
I would like to propose a candidate for the post of the forum moderators.
The game Vega Conflict I have not much time, a lot of what I know about the game and ready to answer any questions regarding the game within the rules.
As for moderation, the experience is, working on Russian project in sots.seti - FaceBook. And as the moderator of the forum worked on many other gaming resources, for example in MMORPGs Art of War: 2, 3, Online, under the leadership of the company Gear-Games. And as Prime World, from the company NIVAL.
English know well above average, so that communication problems do not see.
Methods of communication: e-mail, skype, facebook, twitter, viber, whatsapp, line.
I undertake to unconditionally comply with the forum rules of the game, and adhere to the requirements of the Administration.

Hi there,
Thanks for your interest in becoming a forum moderator! I'd suggest getting out there and posting more on the forums to gain the attention of the Community Manager, CM LXC. Positions are invite-only and if he thinks you've got what it takes, he'll reach out to you with an offer.
I am a very active person , as in the game and on the forum, but most of all I would prefer to work in Russian forum , since I live nearby, in Ukraine.
You understand , I'm not the first time in the case, and perfectly cope with the task .
On the right forum I have read and taken note of . I will wait for the response community manager
