Event was to new players (Solved by SpiralValve!)

Well I had a good experience last few weeks, got some great support from my alliance, was able to grab a few intro offers for coin, started prepping for the event a few days ago - worked hard to get a fleet ready for it..... ONLY to find there are not enough fleets to go around for lower level players!!!!!!!!!!! I was looking at a big grind to get some of the better prizes, I was willing to commit to working on it to reap the reward, BUT THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH LVL35 VSEC FLEETS!!!!!!!!!!!! So then I find out it's a reoccurring problem! If this was unexpected I would be dissapointed, but it's not. yesterday I was planning on buying more coin due to the offer in the store to make sure I could take advantage of getting the event prizes but not anymore.  Literally the idea of working hard or even buying any more coin is completely gone because it's pretty clear events are run for the higher level players only.......

    This is said a lot. Even by KixEye reps here. Does not really change this event being, as op said, an insult to new players.

    Why did they put the minuscule amount of 25/30/35 Vsec fleets in in the first place, if new players are ment to not participate at all? Looking at the rarity of them, just to insult the new players.

    I have no problem with the points on my alt, which happens to have literally only 2 Hydra Rancor fleets at level 26.

    Have people actually thought about checking other sectors nearby for the quietest spot? I'm currently in a UA/VL sector and there are hundreds of us competing for fleets. It's very difficult to get anything. But upon looking through different wormholes at other sectors, I easily found a quieter place to farm.

    EVENTS are for experienced players. riots are for new players. You just got 6 of them and now you are getting very andn whiney

    This is also the easiest event ever

    seriously? I am considered "whiney" because I prepared for an event and can hit some of the lowest level fleets successfully but due to there not being enough fleets to hit will have a ridiculous time getting even the lower tier prizes. I'm not complaining I can't get the high prize carrier or some crap, or its "too hard to kill them" - I am complaining that the spawn rate for ships that are not even being killed is stupid!!!! I mean seriously if all the higher fleets were being killed as well then fine - BUT THEY ARE NOT...........

    and also concerning the event being made "for the higher level players" then cut the crap and don't tease us lower players with lvl25-35 fleets, clearly they are being hit by shedloads of mid to higher players anyway so they should cut them out. I prepared for this on the information I would be able to participate, hitting a fleet every 15-25mins is not participating and it wasted my time and coin, so yeah I am angry.

    they used to do it worse is not an excuse for doing it now - just means they don't learn. Stand in front of someone and dangle a fifty pound note but say it's not for them it's for the "experienced people" and you don't really have a defence if that person gets angry and calls you a ****!

    I had seen some of the raging threads and hadn't paid much attention, I have raged on maybe one other game years ago and am normally very tolerant - as the ragers are not normally that reasonable or play for free only players. But fact is I spent money getting ready when I found I was not far off being able to get involved, and now I can't do it properly it's rubbish and obviously I feel quite cheated/ripped off.

    I completely agree with Dagganon.
    I'm a low level player and wasn't expecting to get the Rag after hitting 20 x 25 vsec fleets... I was expecting to have to grind for 3 days to get a wiff at the carrier but when you see/hear end game players saying they have already bought the ENTIRE store after 4 hours (frigate and carrier plus all weapons) and I'm sitting here after 10 hours waiting for 35s to spawn and only have 350,000 point is RIDICULOUS.

    If the world didn't suck... we'd all fall off.

    Ok, getting even more mad.  Watching lvl 49 fleets camping for Vsec 35s, while Vsec 45s and higher spawn.  I sat at my planet for 3 spawns watching 1x35, 2x40, 2x45, 1x50, 2x55, 2x60 and there are at least 3 players with 3 fleets each, all going for Vsec 35s and 40s. How about Kixeye turn on the Vsec Overwatch flag such that these camped fleets get attacked.  Grrr.

    u can complain in the game comms so people can just hit you and you fleets...many people would be done in seconds be glad they didnt kill u

    First day the fleet balance seems right. But later in the event the people hitting high lvl fleets will be done and kix should prolly increase the amount of lower lvl fleets spawning.

    thanks steven282 - another great and useful contribution that's part baiting and part a threat. Johnjones22 I hope you are right, in the meantime I'm not spending another penny. Andy Bird - I expected to be able to work hard, that's why I am angry because this isn't hard - it's just stupid.

    at level 29 your complaining about wanting to work hard to earn prizes, yet the prizes are not tailored to you, take world of warcraft for example, you dont get to level 20 then demand from blizzard that they give you all epic level 100 pvp gear, because lets face it thats what your doing bro.

    Boy there are some ungrateful people here. Kixeye is doing a whole new event style letting us get way more tech and all ppl can do is complain that it's too hard or too easy.

    Cry more about the best event kix has ever done...

    Thank you kix for releasing a very well balanced event and that should mean a lot coming from me as I usually have a problem with just about everything kix does.

    I have played this game for nearly 4 years!!! And you think that you deserve more level 35 fleets to hit for prizes even though your a low level player and this event is not tailored to you? level up and get good ships then do the riots like we all have to, use the riot tech to do the end game events! and stop crying!

    Andy Bird have you read anything I have written? I don't want the carrier or mk3 blueprints - I would like a shot at the mk2, but when there is almost nothing to hit it's crap. Getyaz you clearly don't have any experience of what I am talking about so your opinion really doesn't count on this issue.....

    Maybe I got the wrong end of the stick there but my point stands, this event is not for low level players, and if you looked inside planet your would see that there are level 25 Reclaimers, your lucky you got anything to hit at all.

    and yet I can hit and kill lvl35? why is it wrong that I want to be able to hit lvl 35 vsec when I can kill them??????

    Kixeye did not tailor this event to new players thats why there was next to no level 35 Vsec Reclaimers....Nothing wrong with you hitting them, its just this is a pointless post, your level 29 so until you can do these events without much hassle, your opnion on the event is totally void to nearly everyone that is involved, sorry mate but this topic is rediculous.

    You will have to do like the rest of us when we were little. Be patient, look around to other planets or sectors if need be. Save all your points until the end and get the best stuff that you were able.

    Like SpiralValve kindly pointed out.  Just hold on to all the points you have and spend them at the end on what you can get.  I understand that this is frustrating, but kixeye tailors these events for the end gamers and no one else.  I'm sure the 35's are there to give you a chance at getting something.  In my eyes that is mighty nice of kixeye.

    The first white wolf I can hit and kill 35vsec with free instant repair, if I couldn't kill lvl35 I wouldn't be bothered and wouldn't have an issue - but I can. sure Spiralvalve - but it's a little rubbish that I just have to sit around with no targets while most of the other players are completing the whole event in 2-4hours.
