i just got a reply for kix "support" they said that the drones are working just fine in that video and that the reduced damage was because i had fewer hulls by the end of the battle. they totally ignored the 2 swarms of bombers that do nothing to the scx at all.
I wince every time I get one of these completely asinine responses from "customer service." Always they follow this pattern.
"Here's a video showing a bug." "There is no bug." "Begging your pardon, but the video shows the bug." "The device is working as intended." "The stated functionality <reference> does not match the actual functionality <video>. Either the stated functionality or actual functionality is wrong." "I've spoken to the dev team and can assure you the device is working as intended." "...if that's so, then the stated functionality is wrong and should be updated to match the actual functionality." "Nothing is wrong." "Am I even corresponding with a human being here?"
And they wonder why customer support is overloaded with tickets when you have to keep sending multiple tickets to get it through to them that there is a problem.

Thanks. I went through a Drac 85 till I encountered the problem and waited a few salvos before showing the fix. quick fix is to move forward a bit but it shouldnt happen in the first place
seems to me its not working properly unless chaining. you see where he moves forward, it starts chaining and doing damage again

yeah in my video they never get shot down completely and yet they do no damage at all for a really long time volley after volley. clearly they dont working and support does not know what they are looking at.
Just watched another base hit today with Drac Carriers and bombers. Hitting a turret there was zero dmg. Then on the chain to next turret dmg was done and first turret took small dmg from splash off 2nd turret. There is definitely a bug here.
yeah just wtness new uavs do almost no damage to a reaver hul n the reaver strongs whats up wth that? can we get a fx?
in the last set of reaver raids, the reavers were made stupidly resistant to rockets and mortars (i.e. explosive weapons) as well as launchers. this may be why you did very little damage. i do not know where the last reaver raid post was put up but kixeye buffed their resistances to OP numbers to force us to coin.
yeah but just sayng the new carrers and UAVs are not perfomng as well as a brand new hull and weapon should be should be on par wth blade or antpode

Was there a new feature that was being added to this UAV where, say you have a line of targets, that the UAV's would do damage along this line?

then may be it drop the whole load of bombs befor it even reach the target so even the splash wont damage it

Seems like it is some kind of weird range issue. If your boat is within a certain distance, the damage goes to zero. In almost every video, as the boat moves away from the target, damage commences. Move towards the target, nothing. Tried it in a salv and same thing. Once the carrier gets too close, UAVs fire, but don't do damage.

Passed along. QA is taking a look. It may just be that that turret is very resistant to Explosive damage. Thanks again, everyone, for your reports. I'll update if I find out anything.
@CM_DOOMROOSTER > it isnt about the resistance, otherwise the dmg would be constant the same, also, you can see the dmg the turret takes while UAV's passing through it to the ship, and after it just takes nothing
as long as that ship sat still it was doing no damage from repeated salvo's as soon s it moved to a new spot that turret died pretty **** quick - something not right there at all nd nothing to do with the turret resist.
Watching the carriers in a base it reminds me of how torpedoes will sometimes fire at a target that is still behind a wall (just coming around the corner) and the torpedo will"hit" the target but do no damage. When you move forward a little bit & clear the edge of the obstruction then you do full damage.
Not saying this is the issue, but looks a lot like it.

i do know the fleet i use with them is mixed weapon but i have also seen them do no damage when it was just dive bombers firing so it might be part of it but i dont think its the entire problem.
im sorry but this problem has been here since the raid, and has been talked about alot... why is kixeye trying to fix it now? they hadso much time, and maintenance time to fix it... dont get me wrong i rather get it fixed now then later....

Anyone noticed that the new UAV work on ordinary salvs but do jack all on elites i takes like 20 or so the kill one ship and my carrier says it does over 40K damage somethings not right here.
I notice there is no accuracy stat associated with this weapon, probably because of splash damage, ie a flying mortar round. An accuracy stat of 1 % would solve this issue and everyone can be happy again.
I hit a base today and my fleet was firing at a pyro turret for ages and it wasn't taking any damage at all, until I moved but then it fired on me but at least died. Makes hitting bases a pain as the whole point of outranging targets is so that you don't have to take damage from them!
