i bet this has a direct relationship with at times how the UAV can chain kill an entire base..kixeye needs to work things out a bit because honestly i have seen some EXPENSIVE bases get completely chain killed off a guard ship which is well absurd..14 lvl 5 and 6 turrets with a total of say 200,000 armor and a 140,000 armor OP off of a chain on a guard ship 6 tiles away, seems to be working as intended. I feel as tho at times the UAV's are glitched and ignore resistances and deal 100% raw dmg
Yeah I think so too. I once had a UAV fleet hit my res farm at the front of my base, then chain kill my entire base and guard fleet in one salvo. Sometimes jumping over 3 tiles to the next target. The guy never even entered my channel, or even got close. He got to maxim range to hit the res farm then stayed there, watching as one salvo of UAVs killed an entire base off.

Its not that the turret is very resistant because if you watch the video it does two shots and does no damage at all, then he moves forward and you can tell that there is definite damage being done there unlike the other 2 shots.

That may be a hacker @Blue-King. Usually the UAV kills a whole base because of an overload on a grim zerk or wrath. Also it may do a lot of damage to a base if you have a bunch of stuff next to each other making the chaining much easier and added with the splash and stuff it will do a ton of dmg.

@CM_DOOMROOSTER > it isnt about the resistance, otherwise the dmg would be constant the same, also, you can see the dmg the turret takes while UAV's passing through it to the ship, and after it just takes nothing
Video showing how the UAV Bomber sometimes deals zero damage, even on an initial hit. (Chaining before reload isn't the problem. At least, not the only problem.)
Thanks. I went through a Drac 85 till I encountered the problem and waited a few salvos before showing the fix. quick fix is to move forward a bit but it shouldnt happen in the first place
I hit a 71 salv with my Drac Carrier. It killed all but 2 ships on the first pass, leaving a minimal amount of health on the other two. Two more passes and no damage done at all. Last pass the final two ships died. Something's definitely wrong.

I had the same issue with a 51 salv. My Drac Carrier only has 4 UAV bombers and it was dealing no damage at all.
It took me over 5 minutes (two tries) to kill the salv.

I believe they are Critical Hit UAVs ( You can only get them with the objective researched, 2% chance)

I thought that as well but I asked on chat and they said it's just the UAV battery. Though now I realize it was probably a hacker. But it doesn't matter, was 4 or so raids ago, so my base isn't the same set up and I certainly don't have the battle report or the guys info anymore.

Well this is much different then the drac coaxials because they had reload messed up, this is just that the shots arent doing damage, still, dont give kix any ideas.
CM Doomrooster, I thought you were going to have a chat with the guys in support about this issue? I just got a response on my ticket that its my band width and not the game but EVERYONE is having the same issue.

Well it's a good thought, but that couldn't be possible right? If the UAVs can't miss turrets, and towards the end of the video a squad of UAVs deals almost 50% damage to the turret with no critical UAVs in that squad, how could it be explosive resistance?

My hip-shot guess is that the UAVs are dealing appropriate damage when they hit. (Unless the tower has missile or explosive resistance, in which case the numbers are way off.)
In the video were 12 Bomber UAVs (1828 listed damage) on a drac carrier (+60% UAV damage): expected real damage = 17550.
I hit the same tower with 10 blade missiles (2424 listed bldg damage) on a warhead 3 mastodon (+41% penetrative damage, +25% building damage): expected real damage = 21120.
In both cases, two salvos nearly killed the tower and a 3rd finished it off. That sounds about right.

These are totally different situations... as the video shows, it is literally not doing damage on deployments which is an obvious bug. The Coaxial issue no matter how much you don't like the outcome is a design issue, not a bug. Don't get me wrong, I think the way the Coaxial was handled was poor and the outcome less than desirable to say the least. I'd be curious to know exactly "how" the reload of 0.2sec on the turret "broke" the game. My guess is something to do with it being Multishot instead of Salvo... but that's just my guess.

The MOD alluded to the idea that maybe that turret had tons of explosive armor on it, and maybe that particular example does, however if the response is just that; that turret has a ton of explosive armor on it i will be very disappointed. The problem and point isn't that particular target per se, its that 'hey there's an obvious functionality issue and here's one example of it'. To only take that example who's function is to demonstrate a general problem and change that function into a specific example to be addressed in only those particular circumstances would be dumb. I sincerely hope this is not what will happen.

well, the idea of explosive defence on the turret in the video, I & others have already shot down, cause you can see the dmg the turret takes when the UAV bombers do their bypass towards the ship, if it had "so high explosive defence", it would not have taken that damage either
