[VIDEO] 53 Sharpshooters with Talon Frigates - 14k Loot - New Riot Farming Strategy

What's up Friends of the Good Mood,


another great Farming Tutorial (I hope) showing how to defeat level 53 Sharpshooters with Talon Frigates. Better are Nighthawks or Destiny Cruisers but Talons work, too. This way you can get tier 4 Boxes with low-tech and also you get 13k Loot for a Riot so this will become a very popular way of farming Riots... What do you think?

    nope sharpshooters dont give anything, battalions or bust for me.

    Well it won't be a great way to farm but for riots il take all the help I can get thanks. You think eagles will work even better than hawks?

    i dont think so. eagles are for strafing not for flying forward. ospreys do a really good job. apocs or revelations could do the same.

    Keep in mind he tried to find the easiest way and the lowest possible tech to destroy it.

    yeah. the good thing on this tactic is that the fleet setup is very dynamic. you only need fast ships.
    talons, hawks, osprey, destiny, revelation, apoc, rapture, gharial, komodo, python................ AND the Condor... finally it has a use.

    ive been having trouble with the high level sharpshooters so ive been avoiding them and going after everything else


    still yet to get a single battleship t4 core....
    it takes an anvil to make an anvil, begs the question where the first anvil came from

    Kixeye, this video is obviously fake. There is no way you can do this easy with just those frigates. No need to increase the fleet damage or anything.

    Let's hope Kix won't do something drastic before next Riot. Or I would be mad at Manni for no reason at all....

    Manni is simply presenting data really.  You cannot be mad at data.

    Some individuals, however, are stupid and cannot correctly interpret data.

    "They can win with talon frigates?? We need to make the fleets harder durr hurr!" is one of those incorrect interpretations.

    As an experienced Eagleeer... I can tell you it can be done.  Flying an Eagle simply involves approaching your target in strafe at all times.  Just have to know how to use the right mouse properly.

    Manni makes it look easy, but one tiny slip up or not paying correct attention to even one of the ships and you get them rotating in opposite directions = instant death.

    im a good eagle pilot too. but im controling ONLY ONE eagle at the same time. the minimum amount of eagles to use this tactic is two.
    I hate it to control two hard-to-control-pvp-ships at the same time.

    I switched to twin eagles a while ago.  Start the combat by pulling them close together so they act more like one unit, and remember your right clicks / click drags will effectively come from the center of their position.

    you have to split them up in this tactic. :p

    Sure whatever floats your boat. 

    I'm only thinking in terms of 2 eagles since that is all I have.  If I had a full fleet or even 3 or 4 I could pull this off with eagles only.

    huh? i dont see my face in his video anywhere, and you certainly can be mad at data!
    im hated in my home sector by many people, though TBH the people who are mad at me are all visitors/invaders from diffrent sectors

    I am certainly not the first to think about this strategy and to be honest: The very first thing I had in mind when I saw the 53 sharpshooter fleets the first time was: Hey... I can do this with Talons. But while it looks easy with Talons - like one of you guys said - it actually is quite dangerous. One false click or move and it's over... With Nighthawks you have much higher damage output and range. There the strategy works easier. But it can be done with many ships. They just have to be fast enough during the initial attack with the main-group. After that: it's only YOU and the Destroyers :)

    Manni here is a quick video I put together of in planet farming, 30 minutes and more than 50,000 in loot, got 250,000 from these fleets and 266 strongboxes, https://youtu.be/8Yp3Pe125ig

    Interesting.  I'll definitely have to keep this method in mind, but for the next Riot, I think I'll stick with the old tried-and-true strafing phased Venoms for killing Vsec 50's (still need the bps).

    Farming vsec sharpshooters is currently much more efficient than farming vsec battalions because of the secret vsec battalion health buff, which causes players to take 2 hits to kill them (on the other hand vsec sharpshooters only take around 2.5 mins to kill).

    i remember doing this before the rebalance now they shoot so fast and turn around so fast i dont think you can do this now with frigates but ill try lol
