Forsaken Mission Changes & New Content

Hello Captains!

A couple weeks ago, I was on Battle Vortex discussing the upcoming changes to the Forsaken Mission. As you well know, the FM has been in dire need of a shake up, both in terms of tech available and the prize rotation. At the time of my appearance, I said that we were adding a reset button to allow for players to partake in the FM more frequently. I also messaged that there would be no significant changes to the format of the FM.

What a difference two weeks makes. 

We realized following the last event that the tech levels of the FM don't really reflect the state of the game as it stands. More and more, new, more powerful tech is arriving every month. To address this, we will now be offering event-level prizes in the FM in addition to the option to repeat the FM once a week. We've also tuned the tiers to include different tech at different tiers. We've also increased the Uranium payout for each tier.

Overall, there's a lot to talk about because quite a bit has changed. Instead of waiting until Wednesday, I wanted to get this in front of you as soon as I could. 

Here we go...


New targets

First off, there are two new Military Strongholds to attack - a level 75 & level 85 target. These Strongholds are much more challenging but their payouts are significantly higher than their lower level counterparts. Point payout for these targets are about 1,800,000 points for the 75 while the 85s payout in the 6,400,000 range! 


New Tiers

When beginning the Forsaken Mission this week, you will notice some significant changes.



Tier 1 now includes tech from both Tier 1 & Tier 2 tech trees and prizes are available for reaching the 150,000 point cap.


Tier 2 is set at 2,500,000 points and contains tech from the Tier 3 tech tree.


Tier 3 is set at 4,500,000 points and contains tech from the Tier 4 tech tree.


The new ELITE Tier of the FM is set at an incredible 50,000,000 points! However, the prize list for this tier includes newer, more powerful, event-level tech such as the Arbalest Cannon and the new Fusion Charger. It also includes a powerful 48 hour Ship Build token to help with any new construction you have.


Resetting

A reset button has been added to the Forsaken Mission to allow players to complete the mission twice a week. You may only reset your Forsaken Mission once per week of the FM schedule. Upon selecting the option to reset, players will see a pop-up modal to confirm the reset. Resetting your progress will wipe any previous progress, even if you have not begun the FM or earned 0 points. This cannot be reversed. Be sure you have completed your first Forsaken Mission run through before resetting.

Resetting the FM will cause the points required per tier to increase, as noted below. 



Uranium

To compensate for this Tier restructure, the Uranium payout for the new Tiers is as follows:


T1 = 3,000

T2 = 8,500

T3 = 15,000

Elite = 40,000


IMPORTANT: You will only gain a Uranium bonus for the first run through. Once you reset your run through, Uranium cannot be gained from the week’s FM.


Content drop

We will be increasing the amount of tech dropped with each cycle to 3 prizes. Newer, more powerful tech will be available in the Elite Tier but we will continue to populate tech throughout the FM tiers.


New FM Content (Now with new Stat Blocks!)

Zynthonite Armor D5-R

The latest piece of radioactive resistant armor is here! Boasting massive armor at a reasonable weight, this new piece of tech can be found in the Elite tier.


Fusion Chargers

Supercharge increases the amount of stacks are gained with each successful strike with a Launcher or shockwave weapon. Add this Elite special to your cruisers to increase the stack and the amount of damage the shockwave deals and lay utter waste to your enemies.


Lockdown Rockets

The Reaver’s answer to the Draconian cryo field, these Tier 3 rockets will slow the movement of any ship it hits by an impressive 75%, making your enemy vulnerable to prolonged weapon fire!

    CLARIFICATION:

    Resetting the FM does not reset the 72 hour timer to complete. 

    This may change based on what we see with this upcoming release.

    UPDATE:

    The stats on the Fusion Charger are incorrectly displayed in the images above. The bonus is +6% and +30%, not +106% & +130%. The displayed numbers are the TOTAL bonus, not an addition. This is a visual error only!
