Is there a cap on how many tokens can be purchased from the token store??
yes, it was stated on the discussion page, the limits are the same as the ones shown in your base. if your inventory is full, you can't buy anymore. last raid if you bought all of the tokens, i believe it allowed you to knock 7 days off of a build or something close to that.
and i never stated that WoT, or WoWP were BP killers, but they have MUCH better business models that BP, hence why they are still alive today and will be for years to come. BP just keeps increasing their cost to stay competitive, where as the other games keep the price the same, the games are very skill based. here you just point, click, and pay for more.

Sorry i didn't pitch my question very well. I plan to use them straight away and not hoard them... there is a max amount of 24 hour tokens you can redeem even if they are used?
It's in the briefing that there is a limited number you can redeem in the section describing them. They haven't told us what that number is. I expect it to be the same as or less than last time. No way they'd give us more.

That's a fair assumption. Lets not get our hopes up. Doom might me working on more info on this. There are lot of other posts asking same thing. When he has more info, i guess he will share it...
My question is why have a rogue crew that boosts one of the most powerful hulls in the game as the bonus? The people that have Crusaders don't need more help.
Why not make the rogue crew bonus for ANY fleet it's equipped to? That way it benefits EVERYONE.
While it looks like a step, in the right direction, for the players. The skeptic in me knows, they will probably screw it up. I'm being absolutely honest here, Doomrooster has lost a huge amount of credibility, thanks to last months botching of the raid info. He should never have said unlimited, when it was still being drawn out and planned. Talking about it is one thing, Laying it out as he did, wasn't wise at all though.
Now the coming raid, Doomrooster said, on the BV show, That the bonuses would not be effected by the reduction. How accurate is this info? Is it set in stone? Or, Is it still in planning? Should we stock up on Lube or be happy? These are my questions.
That said, I will be grinding the strike campaign, with my level 70 base, No matter the screw job. I might coin, if i feel the points to damage is favorable, But that's entirely up to you kixeye. I'm getting a 25.00 FB card, Whether it's used as BP gold or something else. We'll see.

The introduction of level based campaigns was done to give the lower levels a chance of getting some reasonable prizes.
This change will likely be pretty much what it was originally where the lowers really struggled to get something decent, unless they were quite good at thinking of a good strategy.
Unless of course they perfectly balance the points penalty for higher levels attacking lower targets...... which will be different than what has been done before.
Perfectly balanced and kixeye are usually terms that don't exactly fit well together.
This is an assumption, but I believe the event will pretty much be the same for lower levels as the last event, with on key difference being that higher levels no longer have the selfish motive of easy point as a reason to help them complete the event.
This change seems like it would effect the higher and mid level players. Mid level players who are not able to complete the event hitting targets that were designed for them, will now have the option of hitting lower level targets at a reduced rate of award. Higher level players who are ill equipped, or just want an easier/cheaper event will also be able to hit lower level targets for a reduced point amount.
My question is, does the reduced point amount come into play when a person is helping a lower level? Will they be eliminating points for a lvl 90 player who chooses to help one of their alliance's baby bases through recon? Or does the reduced point only apply if the player generates the campaign?
looking forward to the event briefing.
Yes, but i'm i'm expecting that point penalty for higher level players to be pretty massive, if its still doable for the smaller/mid players.
I think i a lot of players are not expecting a huge penalty to points.

Maybe it's time for the "higher" level players to man up and start building fleets that can compete in PvE scenarios appropriate to their "higher" level instead of polishing the turds they call fleets? A level 70 who is limited to hitting Strike (or worse, Recon!) should be embarrassed to be so limited. What's the point of accruing points to claim prizes if one is not then going to use those prizes to build better fleets? If you are a "higher" level player who cherry-picks the low-level campaigns, you DESERVE to get severely pro-rated points. Just sayin'...
All you need to win raid is Money, and lots of it. Doesn't matter to much what kind of ships you have. Just have lots of money. Ships that take 20 days to build each ( Or longer ) don't stand a chance. This is how it has been going for years. and only getting worse. That is why so many are leaving the game.
Anyone else notice that the Uranium payout is significantly lower than the raid last month? With Abyss, we were able to get 400 Uranium for destroying a level 61 Reaver Assault Force and 600 Uranium for destroying a level 65 Reaver Assault Force. This month, only the 65 is listed with a Uranium payout. In addition, the Uranium payout on the Reaver Assault Platforms for Abyss was listed at 100,000. This month's raid has it listed as a 33,000 Uranium payout. What gives?!

I'm not sure how one would "win the raid". But to win prizes in the raid you just need to spend time in between raids developing tactics and building fleets. I'm only lvl 55, and had much success in the last raid, and only spent 20 bucks. 20 bucks to win the prize is not the problem. 800-1000 bucks to build and rank them is.
Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.
Honestly, I think the devs made the right choice with this idea and have a really good chance at making this an awesome and fun raid format. I'm excited to see how this plays out.
Oh really? You know Kix will probably throw in a twist again or do something idiotic to completely f*ck it up for everyone.
To the last, I grapple with thee. From hell's heart, I stab at thee. For hate's sake, I spit my last breath at thee.....

whilst this is probably true, there's a better than good chance the tears will be flowing in a couple days
That is just your opinion ; this is a cool Game for face Book but it's still just average and over priced as far as Games go.
No, it is not opinion. Opinion would be that you could point to another game that is exactly like this, with a different pay model. You cannot, because there is not one.
Even with the game everyone is trotting out as something special fits into the category of you get the ship, it is done, you kill it, it is repaired automatically. You cannot modify the weapons, you cannot modify the armor, you cannot equip specials too it. You also do not have a base of operation where you can e attacked. The only way to get attacked is to be out there on the seas and doing battles.
So, no what i have stated is not opinion. It is fact, and until another game comes out that does what this one does. We cannot have an honest conversation on how overpriced it is.
That's sad You need to get out more because there are a ton of games like this and more ! I could point you to a couple; But I don't think your interested; it almost seems like your defending your own work or something and if that's the case good for you but it's still just your Opinion. No Offence intended.

There is no game out there like this, there might have been one but as far as I know it folded up. Let us not forget, people are comparing this to another game that does not have a base, does not have customization in ship building. You get a ship, and that is it. Or, are you going to try and say that Vega is like this? OF course that one is, it is made by the same company

no i also would like to know of these similar games c mon now don t hold out . as i also have not seen any game like this ,naval combat game
Yes I noticed a huge change in the strength of the upcoming launcher type of weapons that will be offered in the July's event, are the stats put out by Battle Pirates correct and planned as intended? Or due to the obvious errors will this new weapon be altered after the beginning of the event?
Reaver Assault Forces: Are only the 23, 43, and 65 giving out sector points? That's all that is listed in this July Event Briefing. I hope this is a mistake. Reduced Uranium payouts and only three available target levels for sector points?
Please share with us, any game which has similar features and strategic abilities to BP. Also it needs to have a better cost-to-time ratio.
This game would need to include:
1. A fully customizable, scaleable, and defendable base.
2. A world map which allows you to attack other players, and bases. They need to include a method of shortening travel time (like towers), PVE content like Drac Bases, and customizable bookmarks which allow you quickly to find targets/allies.
3. Fully customizeable, and upgradable ships.
4. Monthly events that include at least one PVP and one PVE event.
5. Weekly tasks which allow players to focus on PVE if they choose. (like the FM, Dredges)
6. Weekly task which incentivise PVP (like alliance points).
7. Sectors, as they add another unique dynamic to the game.
This is a niche game, and a unique one at that. This game is not for everyone. While it has it's flaws, it also has it gems. I have always told kixeye exactly what I think of their game, and always will. But in the meantime I continue to look for affordable options that come close to BP, and have yet to find one. So if you know something I don't, please bring me up on my awareness.

If only they had released such a hull a few times over the year, with this new weapon we could combat this new hull...
they should give us such a hull and put it in the retro lab to give it a 20% bonus to reload and bonus resistance..
