if definatly a good hull but my build list is long as it is now not gonna get it
Sometimes it is worth delaying or nixing planned builds in favor of newer ones...Crusader & Arbalest were one. I have a feeling Fusion Cruiser & D98-U are going to be as well, though I don't think they'll be as big a game changer as my previous example was...still...this, if built & driven right, nerfs all other launcher hulls pretty hard.
Funny you mention that. There's talk around the office of trying to implement a VXP transfer feature that would let players move existing VXP or ranks to other ships. It would probably have some sort of time cost associated to it, but this would let players with your situation avoid that pain. Thoughts?
This is a very interesting thought. Maybe... would need more info on the approach to this before giving constructive feedback.
Yeah, it's in very early "hey, let's throw this idea around" stage. I only assume there'd be a cost to transferring. There are literally no other details than "VXP transfer: maybe?"
I am assuming VXP points as a whole as well, not rank for rank.
Are you nuts? Realesing Arb crusaders 6 months earlier than they did wouldnt have big of a jump as this new ship launcher combo....people this is far and away the most important flt you can build if the stats stand

I dunno, you're talking about the longest range in the game short of the Enforcer, which no one's using now anyway. And with tripled supercharge and that shockwave damage (seriously, it's over 20K, AoE, and with artificial bypass through lowering resistance first). You're going to see a LOT of shockwaves with this monster, even in FvF against high-evade/Unreactive targets, because of that supercharge, and you're going to outrange all of them (except, again, Enforcers).
I'd say it's pretty **** comparable to Arbalest Crusaders.
I'm starting to understand Magic Bunny's perspective...
i do like the 5% range but i literally am on the last ship of a nuc fleet im building so might still pass maybe if it was 10% with 5% range goes to 95.55 which is same as arbalest well .5 over defense are decent id say if your a mid level or new player go for this either wait for cyro launcher or use d 92 u up to you its nice but with just building a nuc fleet prob will pass
5% with the new launcher is 98 range, longer than arbs.
i know i saws the ship befre i saw the weapon so this would be with cyro luanchers ill proobrally go for this stick the luanchers on some enforcers for 103 range my build for the criuser will have 27 combat with nearly 99 range i like it over powered and all ...
edit: @ loco not making two posts to say same thign but i saw the ship at first without seeing the weapon so itd be 95.5 with cyro 99 range is nice though but a bit over powering with the shock wave info

Love The Idea!! The Cost needs to be less than half if you paid to rank them from scratch.

For me, the DPS will have to be right up there (I haven't run any calculations on it). If it is the same as arb crusaders, then yes, it is right up there. For now without those numbers, I place it just below tho. One of the great things about launchers that stack so quickly is even if arb crusaders come in and rip them to pieces, they may still "win" if enough flachettes are already launched.
Definitely something many will regret passing on if they do...I wont. I know a good, top priority build when I see one lol.

make it a token for when you scrap the ship to apply to a new ship. you get 50% of the xp to transfer

Absolutely. And if the token store comes back, I should be able to finish my second Goresaber this raid as well as get a couple of days off the third. Or maybe fit an extra rocket to the two I have or something. I'll probably just do that, 2 Sabers still works fine, and I want this started ASAP.

They are definitely bringing tokens back in some way/shape/form for the raid.
I just wrapped up my 2nd goresaber a couple days ago (no armor on either yet). Was waiting for the rumored Borbas' Gore flag, but since that seems to have just been a rumor, I'll probably beef up my armor on the 2 I have once I get them ranked up to 33% or so, maybe add a 4th nerf gun to each and toss in my Aegis for additional defense of the fleet.
I'm already cancelling the GNC fleet I just started (completely nixing the idea now and putting the 1 I already built into storage), will do a couple minor refits in the meantime and will start these bad boys up as soon as I get the BP's.

And just how many points are going to be needed for these wonderfull toys?
A very sweet looking ship for sure.... and a forsakin hull to boot
5.5m for Antipode; 12.5m for Cruiser.*
*All pre-event info subject to change.
Well that seems reasonable to me. Heck, I might just be able to grind that out lol........ Sure as heck going to try.
With all campaigns open to all players...I'm sure you can grind something out...now the amount of seat time required might be a bit much, but it'll be doable for all.

I'd like to know the shockwave threshold though, since it's a new type of launcher it won't be 120 or 80 fletchettes to trigger a SW.
60
I nearly spat my soda on my laptop when I saw the shockwave damage. My laptop would be broken right now if I'd been drinking anything at all when I saw this.
Let me put it this way:
You need 60 stacks. Each Launcher has a salvo of 4. The hull supercharges that to 12. You need FIVE Launchers to get a shockwave on each salvo. The hull can hold 8. They are very light Launchers. It is entirely possible that someone could conceive of a fleet of 5 with 8 Launchers each.
That fleet would generate 8 shockwaves per salvo, assuming nothing misses. Given the shockwave damage is ~24000 (can't remember the exact damage), that's 192K. 192,000 Radioactive Splash damage with pseudo-bypass from the debuff shockwave. Per salvo.
Holy. Balls.
I'm starting to understand Magic Bunny's perspective...
