well i love the FAT and i enjoyed it so much i coined for the first time in years other than the ocasional radar running puss's that could only kill if u were stunned and or 5 firebat drone monarks ...i dont have to illaberate there its really fun i tested 5 different fleets and found one thats great for all things that can kill your enemy lol

As players join the tournament you will move up until there are no 'Awaiting Player' slots available.
I have never seen a bracket end with open slots but I assume kixeye has developed a way to delete them all before prizes are awarded. /sarcasm
Your best bet is to beg two people in your sector to fight once in FAT for free. Then they'll soak up the 'Awaiting Player' slots and you get your prizes.

Not many have an issue with the toybox idea (yes those that build arena fleets are pissed) its the fact that you cannot use uranium to get repair insurance thus limiting your ability to actually play in the event.
I am not sure i have actually ever played a game that had the developers make it so dam hard to actually play in the event that they themselves have spent time to develop and code into the game. But if the amount of people saying they are annoyed because the game is taking double coins are anything to go bye this is probably here to stay which is sad.

Sorry Kixeye but you have this badly wrong and yet again this has been seen by many in the community as a wallet grab or wallet wars. There are some good ideas and I like options provided by building your own fleet. Sadly the removal of the uranium insurance has been a deciding factor for many as to whether they compete and from what I can see lots are not. Even with repairs at half cost this is still an expensive add on to the game especially with the monthly raid being so full on these days. Instead of evening up or getting greater balance into the game the tournament has been a bit of a turn off.
Stupid drones should not have been in the FAT - no skill involved at all.

Im running a Grim, Aegis and Gore along with 2 other hulls. The Gore is 24 speed and the Aegis is 26. Add that to the armor loaded on my Grim and my repair time is only 5 hours after facing one of these. As I said, I've won about 16 matches against these. My lone lost came when I tried to replace the Grim with a Frosty. I even won a match on auto against them.

So much of this game doesn't revolve around players happiness. Its all about you getting pissed off or annoyed or frustrated and COINING as a result. They don't want fun. They seem to think happy players don't coin.

ok so I have a fleet of monarchs with firebat 3 on them. every singly battle I use them in they launch their initial drones. once the first wave of drones is destroyed no more drones are launched. this has cost me matches ad points. does anybody know whats going on

This is the first FAT I have participated in and I have to say, it's pretty fun. I never bothered to build a fleet for it, and don't have legendary ranked ships, so never bothered on my own. Love the toy box idea; it's really fun to instantly build a fleet and get to try it out. I like that there are subs, drones, etc -- though I've lost to them all! But that's ok, I like that all the options are there. A couple of suggestions to make it better..... 1) Do not have a screen that says you can "continue to play" while your ships are in queue -- then give people just seconds to join. 2) Allow all fleet slots to repair at one time. I would be willing to spend U to open fleet slots, but there's not much point when you can only repair one at a time anyway. If they all repaired at the same time, you could at lease play 5 times, then let them repair over night. 3) I thought it said we got one free repair per day. I did get one the first day, but then nothing. 4) Bottom line is, this is a fun idea, but the repair time is major drawback. I was looking forward to playing this morning, even woke up with a new ship build idea. Built it, played once -- we mutually killed each other (ironically -- my opponent had virtually the same fleet), was expecting to get my one free repair. That didn't happen, so guess I'll try again in 12+ hours -- that really sucks the fun out of it. Two other fleets will probably sit unrepaired in other fleet spots for the rest of the tourney. I would be willing to coin some, but 25 gold for 2 mins of fun is too much in my opinion. I never experienced the U insurance, but I would certainly be willing to spend U to keep playing. Or make it a flat rate for repairs -- personally I would be willing to spend around 10 coin to repair a fleet a handful of times to keep playing. I know others might have different tolerances.

I don't know what you people are doing wrong but I've faced over 20 of these fleets and they all continue to launch.

While I agree a well build fleet can take out drones, I do feel that in the FAT drones should count toward the damage done to a fleet, If you face some one with drones every drone killed or damaged should give you some points, if you have to kill it like a ship then you should get points
I kind of like the toybox. It gives me an opportunity to try out different ship builds without having to wait 20-40+ days. Even if I don't spend any Ur or cash, I can still run a fleet every ten hours, which means I can still play around with the builds a few times over the weekend.
I wouldn't mind seeing a co-op event using this system.
The drones are another issue. I am amazed at how Kixeye is permitted to put out such rubbish then expect all players to highlight the rubbish and problems. Is there no product liability law in the USA against this?

Overall I think this FAT is an improvement over the old version. I think maybe you should also have a prize for the top few people in a bracket for win to loss ratio so that both the best players and the best coiners can get top prizes but overall I do like the new format.
Last 4 matches today - every one pinched at start with radar runners crew - 4 different ppl and drones - getting very old - wont even repair the fleets now - was a good concept but should get rid of rockets and drones.

You can learn to adapt. It's all about your build. If you have the right build, then even a large pinch is of minimal concern as you can greatly reduce it's effectiveness, and coupled with a small pinch on your end, you can render their use of it to nearly nothing.
