yes thats why we havent moved on yet, they are probably tweaking another factions ships to be twice as fast as reavers with twice as long of range
Two words: Nuclear Dolphins.
I would prefer Atomic Alligators myself. Maybe even Sheep Launchers. and can i get a neon for my base to inform the masses of the midget strippers in my great hall?
Dude, the midget strippers go on the warehouses!
(and they have molotov cocktails to throw at enemy ships)
Kixeye will never benefit players, mainly small players... They will only add contents and events that need COINING... Therefore, expect anything different will only result in frustration.
every release is a slap in the face, its kixeye telling us to go where the sun dont shine. Im glad the battle vortex team got vocal, but do you really think that bothers kixeye at all? All it does is make them laugh, especially since they can see that even though people threaten to stop coining, people are probably spending more.
not doing no more reavers the fat haft to see what it like first the new dron dont care never use them stupid little things wast of space for meand as fare as build and repaire times ther right wher kix wants them they dont want smaller builds higher is better for them
Were is the issues of repair and build time? Were is word on improvements to token offerings? Were is the word on FM changes? Nothing on a possible new faction (was told would be may jun and nothing not even a hint of any yet) No new ship retro's for dozens of hulls that are extremely old and need help.
But on the up side thanks for saving me 2 months of ship building for an arena fleet.
Repair times and build times are being addressed with tokens and with some lowering of initial build times, as we've seen with recent prizes. It's a small step, but a step.
We've added tokens to the FMs as alternate prizes and to the FAT. They will most likely be added to the upcoming event as well (read as very likely). As far as increasing capacity? That probably won't happen for a while (if ever), so be sure to use your tokens when you have them in order to get more!
FM changes are still in the works. I think we're aiming for July. We're going to see how reducing the total amount of new FM content to 2 per release and changing the cycle to after events and see if this helps players get caught up. Once we know how these changes have affect the FMs, we can move forward.
Re: new faction... Le sigh.... No news as of yet. There was plans for a new faction in May but this got delayed as we got busy implementing new features instead. As it stands, there may be a new faction sometime later this year.
re: Ship retros. Yep, and we'll get to them eventually.
Glad to hear you like the idea of the new FAT format!
Thanks for the reply :-)
It does get hard to see a light at the end of the tunnel when you hear about something that really peaks your interest to then hear nothing for a few months.
Kixeye does 2 things well. Makes changes that cause problems it cant fix properly, and assuming the current devs know how this game should be developed. If youre going to do something...do it well and make sure it works properly. We need less half assed ideas that have no place in this game, more balance between hitting and defending (no more 1 click fleets) and some kind of direction for the game that is overseen by someone who knows where this game should be at this point. Mr Harbin...letting go of the BP wheel to try other games that failed and trusting on dev teams with little oversight was a huge mistake. We need to have less content and more quality. People will coin more if they don't feel ripped off by idiotic ideas that keep plaguing the game.
Kickass (BDS)
Sector: CURRENTLY PLAYING "another game" (name redacted because of a forum mod's threat of a ban)............... because Battle Pirates Devs DO NOT LISTEN and REFUSE to do what is NEEDED to put Battle Pirates back on track.
The Reavers have been done to death! How about a Underwater faction, that uses subs and Mico subs (drones), subs that lay mines that blow ships up that comes close. Sub detection for base turrets, and maybe have useful missle subs.

reavers again??? i mean REALLY?? i thought we were done with this BS...enough is enough let's move on to something different.
When you have morons coining hundreds If not thousands on the current raid format why change it? It sounds like the finance guys have a strong grip on how the game is being drove. If idiots would quit getting more then needed to complete raids and essentially wasting money they would probably change it.

You need to keep in mind, when they introduce a new faction, the following things occurs: 1- new faction = new technology - which leads to all that you have built being inferior to the new targets 2- new coding which as we all know will lead to more performance issues 3- repeat of #1 it need repeating - new targets mean the stuff you have will turn into rarely used fleets unless against old targets 4- repeat of #1 again- Seriously, how many of us really want to have to refit and upgrade even more stuff in the game.
So before you start complaining about keeping things we have now, just think of how much worse it will be when something new in brought in. I see we need to see more concentration on Draconian and Forsaken things, keep what we have and expand, not add in more stuff to make what we have now useless.
I am not bound to win, but I am bound to be true. I am not bound to succeed, but I am bound to live by the light that I have. I must stand with anybody that stands right, and stand with him while he is right, and part with him when he goes wrong.
hmm new toy box in arena, I just get my head around the arena and build an all round fleet that did well this month and have a planed build for next months to find out i wouldnt be able to use it. Oh well ill give the toybox idea a go. but i was enjoying coming up with builds from what i had
June Forsaken Arena Tournament The FAT begins June 25th and features a whole new user experience! Players who enter the Forsaken Arena Tournament will have a “toy box” filled with various hulls and components to pick and choose from in order to construct their Arena fleets. This is a whole new way to engage in the Arena and I’m very excited to see how this addresses long-standing concerns regarding previous FATs. I will post a detailed briefing of this new format as we get closer to the release date.
This Sound Great, should kill off the Sand Baggers, I bet Arena will pick up fast everyone running for Capt Status.
TY Team, I hope it works out for all of us.

They focus on Tactical Modules.
Don't use Level. Use Tech when describing players. Level means nothing, its all about tech.
just a question related to the FM.. will the idea given by Liam99 about being able to do the FM again on increased difficulty for those who have completed it be on the cards
The biggest sign that you, Kixeye, are screwing up? I find myself more and more in agreement with Bort every month. Whether that's him moving to my viewpoint, the other way around, or a little of both, it should tell you that things are really wrong.
bort is a fan boi ur comment makes no sense
Bort is a skilled player who's attitude I usually have a problem with. And while he has tended to side with the Kixeye status quo in the past in favor of telling other players "they aren't doing it right", he has been increasingly critical of Kix's decisions the last couple months. That should alarm Kixeye.
when are you people going to put the v2c into the vxp repair reduction your putting in the brand new hulls but neglegting to put in the hulls that came out before the others

Come on!!! you guys will never let the lower-mid level players get the tokens from the FM.i know several in my alliance that cant get to tier 4 and can't get all the prizes.Keep adding stuff/ new stuff to the FM prizes to stop those said players from ever getting said tokens.WAY TO GO KIX-EYE

most of the older players used to back, kixeye. But they slowly turn a 180. That pattern has been going on for a long time now.

I just have to ask, why are they still in your alliance? I would likely leave if you aren't either helping them or advising them on how to do it. If they are THAT low, that T4 is a truly unrealistic goal, then Tokens aren't needed. Nice to have, certainly. But for sure not needed.
Hmmmmm....no update on when new FM system will be implemented. Tokens in FM should be awarded as U, not as backup prize. 3 days build tokens per month are not helping reducing ship build times. Tokens TLC should be twice a month if you cant think of other ways to implement tokens.
Very nice update on FAT and base relocation.
Just curious as flash hack that EVERYONE is now using. How is it that you can not lower repair times yet a High School student wh made flash hack can. Also if you knew as you claim, that repair times are out of control then why is it that all the new hulls since your speach take even longer to repair? Also if you know repair times are out of control then why nerf the rogue? You could make it easier instead of impossible to get rogue to lower repair times. MAN I HATE BEING LIED TOO.
I honestly am interested to see where these changes are going. I love having more drones, always do, and having more tech go into the retrofit lab and get repair specialists is always nice. The arena changes sounds like we could be getting that level battlefield, preventing high level players from sandbagging themselves so effectively. At least, I hope it's tied to rank, otherwise it would be crap. I am glad to see that relocate to bookmark is finally coming out, we've been needing/wanting that for quite a while now.
All in all, not a bad set of changes, let's hope you can pull them off well. If you can do that, it'll help out your flagging player opinions quite a bit, methinks. It pains me that the poor assault disrupter DR seems to have been forgotten though....

Doom. Why hasn't the v2c been slapped into the repair specialist yet or the frostburn? Seriously!?! It was voted third when we had a "choice". Mind you it's been well over a MONTH since the last weak set was released and this sparingly populated dump is uggghhhhhh
Yes Doom how does the stalker and predator get VXP and not the frostburn or V2C or Nighthawks is this some really late april fools joke you guys had planned, come on you guys have to be real with us, players stopped using those ships centuries ago, and boats like the juggx we been using long cant get no VXP.
New Forsaken Mission Content Starting this month, we are extending the FM an extra week so that FMs will start after events rather than a week before.
I don't understand what the above sentence is saying Doom. Already there is an FM every week except during raid week but then the FM starts up again after the raid. What is different? Are you saying we now have two weeks to complete the one FM? Would that mean we'd be missing a week of getting the uranium on the FM.
