Honestly I don't give a flying **** about the skins. I'm POed that they basically made the FAT a 2nd monthly event more or less :P
I share your PO'dness... Also not impressed the Tokens will go live with a Campaign, rather than being added to the already in game "chores" as was advertised.
The thing about Tokens being introduced in a TLC is that this is a brand new feature and we are introducing the reward of them in a way that utilizes a system we already have in the game. As we develop the feature, we'll be able to create new systems of rewarding the tokens. As with all new features we introduce, the first iteration rarely stays the standard. For now, using the resources we have available to us in order to implement a new feature, this is the way we're doing it. Chances are high that this will change as the tokens become more integrated into the game.
this will all come down to how much yr tokens payout compareed to how much repairs they cause keep that in mind and the developement team should as well i am sure they did to some degree but keep them on planet earth with there payouts on the tokens so its not a wash and theres actually a point to doing the TLC camp and trying to win these tokens in other forms mentioned in previous weeks
DNX R10 should be added soon for all of the older players that have dnx and use them each week as I still do for mission, dracs, and for lower level bases to make it some what fair

A time limited campaign for tokens is a very bad idea. I had such hope for this feature. At best this is just a way of shifting when I repair. Do this extra task and take damage then use the reward to fix damage at a later point. Really disappointed here.

Still going to cost us extra damage and most likely far more damage earning the token than it gives back. Tokens should be a re searchable item in one of the labs. It defeats the purpose of lowering build and repair times via tokens if you have to take damage to get them. Looks like another item that just makes us chase our tails. Kixeye's deception is always disguised in goodwill like they say if it's too good to be true than it probably is.

maybe it will be light so they can see what the benefit is on people hitting bases or what ever. they gotta start somewhere. maybe you can do it with some gun boaks

No... just no.
You, yourself, said we would get these tokens by playing existing content in the game. It was stressed by Doug in that BV interview that Kixeye are conscious of piling chores onto the players, yet here we are barely 2 weeks later with another brand new chore specifically relating to this new bit of content.
Either you lied in that statement or someone above both of you ordered this to be put into a campaign that no one wants in a ploy to make more money from long suffering players.
As it is, players are going to have to take damage in a completely superfluous campaign to get repair time tokens! Do you not see the sad, twisted irony in that? You're effectively making people take lots of damage to get help with repairs!
Honestly, the more I think about this the more angry it makes me, that anyone at Kixeye would think players are so stupid that they would accept this without seeing the ridiculous pitfall behind this implementation is downright insulting.
^ This...I'm already spending more time than i should have to keep with this game...Please do not force us to play...I do not want to stay home every weekend to play these TLC...As of now we have 2 or 3 TLC's for Let It Burn and Going Rouge( 3 weekends here), FAT(1 weekend), URF's (1 weekend). Pretty much we will have to stay home every weekend in a month to play these. Please do not add more TLC's.
please dont add new fm content till after the raid cause u guys added the UAV mid month it totally screwed up the balnce on those of us that have kept on on tier 4 every single week. NEed that UAV and i no with my luck it will get rotated out or something please wait till after raid so those of us trying to keep current on all yr content increases can stay current
How can I "like" this post 100 times? I've got two Warbird hulls built awaiting the UAV and I keep getting the other junk. I've never missed an FM week and now there's a chance that that the new prizes will delay yet again the chance to get the UAV needed to complete my hulls.

So, umm... why couldn't they go in the FM? It's not like the team doesn't have experience in flooding it with crap awesome new things.
I like my games like I like my poops; violent and illogical.
April Event - Descent Descent begins April 16th and features several new features as well as prizes and hulls. I will post the Event Briefing/Tips & Tricks thread next week, alongside the Release Notes for 4/7/15 in preparation for this new event!
To avoid possible whining, please clarify for the masses if this event will be considered a 'hull store' raid. "Hulls" is used in the plural and there has been speculation that Descent will be a 'hull raid.'
Also, I am looking forward to seeing the Dreadnaught and Vindicator retrofits. I have been planning to build a fleet of Strike Cruiser X's with the Arbelist I won last raid; this advance notice gives me time to see if I prefer those two other ballistic hulls before starting my build.

Cam't we just have a permananent campaign but Kixeye put a limit on how many times we can play it? o.o
Also hurray for only skins (HOPEFULLY) in the FAT as prizes. Honestly alot of players are unhappy with the recent FATs.
Don't use Level. Use Tech when describing players. Level means nothing, its all about tech.
So why are the stupid tokens in a campaign? What happened to them going into the FM and other events instead of being its own campaign? Whats the point of getting 6 hours of repairs for a 1 hour repair token. its just ANOTHER chore we got to do. Contradicts what you said on the last BV show where you wanted to REDUCE the chores.

its lies? like the vxp 'more to come later' 25% reduction of something way way too much isnt great. i can see this being great either. an extra campaign is another chore not somethin im already doing. im not impressed nor surprised. carry on
think about it, u get say somewhere between 24 h and 60 repairs from the campaign, then get a few magic beans to reduce your build time, sounds wonderful
CM DR...you shot yourself in the foot releasing a WIP this early. Everyone (including myself) is gonna want/expect it out on the 1st/2nd of every month.
Anther campaign add that to anther one i cannot do since the build times take so long for decent ships. i haven't been able to do any campaigns for a long time since it takes 12-20 days for one ship (3-4 months of building a fleet of 5 and since i am a non coiner this is very annoying). Instead of doing a campaign for tokens (who know when it will come out atm) how about open up a test server so players can test the tokens like we used to. The testers will be able to report if changes will be needed instead of trying to throw it agenst a wall and hoping it will stick.

I know that i cannot hold you to your word because you did say what you said (just as speculation) last week might change how tokens are implemented which is actually happening now, This will definitely nullify all the hard work you guys did to earn players trust...You still have time to turn this around Doom.
I am POed about some of the hulls getting r10s... The NC has been in the game for far less time then hulls as the MC, mauler, SSA, triton, BCX, SC and spec, just to name a few. Though NCs are not very useful compared to newer hulls at the moment, they are definitely more useful then many of the hulls above, which need these r10 retros far more than the NC (however I am happy the DN is getting a retro)
Is there any chance that the campaign hulls might get a little love in the future? In some cases, the campaign hulls are barely better than their R5 counterparts (i.e. Spader's DNX. Greta MC and Vasago's Interdictor). The R10 Stingray is better than Zoe's Stingray.
Yes, I'm back to playing this game. Someone shoot me.
so i did the mission this week and was looking forward to getting the nuclear accellerator to complete my already massively coined crusader fleet which is seriously undermined by the abscence of the nuclear accellerator.you guessed it i won useless d4r radioactive defence panel. my dismay is alleviated by the fact that i KNOW now that all i have left is the nuclear accellerator for next weeks mission. then kablammo you announce 3 god **** new items to next weeks mission and maybe you will even remove the accellerator!! is it not about time you let ppl select what they want to win as this is becoming absurd to say the least. if you remove it or i dont win it how do you compensate me? i spend a chit ton on this game but you wont even allow me to obtain the things i need to use on my ships.
So, if NC's are going to R10... Greta NC's. Yeah, I know that stingray's went R10 and the Zoe was left behind, but I don't think the two cases are comparable- stingrays were long in the tooth when the zoe first came out, and by the time of the R10, were almost unused- so R10 influenced mainly new build decisions or helped to revive an old fleet.
The same is not true of the Greta nuclear cruiser.
When the Greta came out, I built three of them with the older launchers, because the cryo hull feature was a good upgrade on the old ones. Then, before they were even done, the D104-N came out, so, not wanting to waste the build time, I fitted my greta's with the cryo instead of refitting the old NC's, and they are currently my goto fleet for dredge and forsaken mission, although not for raids or arena. Now we have R10 NC's coming out (My regular nuke cruisers are R5, and were even before I built the gretas) So those using the gretas get left out, penalised for using a hull that, at the time, they had no way of knowing was going to become the poor cousin of the bog-standard NC- after all, at the time, kixeye were saying that the balance between limited and retrofit hulls would be maintained. I think it's fairly obvious to see why such people are not happy, and that's without even getting into the repair specialists issue, where they are no doubt about to be left out again.
I frankly don't care about the greta's at this stage- I'm currently scheduled to switch over to a new dredge/forsaken fleet before I'd have the R10 NC retro done anyway. But it does show that Kixeye needs to take a long hard look at the way that they are breaking the balance between limited and retrofit hulls, in a way that discourages people from going for what should be the best and most desirable hulls in the game- via the knowledge that by the time they are built, they will be inferior to their regular counterparts.
In other issues, yet another thumbs down on more junk in the FM before it's mathematically possible to have earned the last lot, thumbs down on breaking your promises and lying about the tokens, thumbs down on chores, thumbs up if you actually stick to just skins and past prizes in the FAT this month.... which you probably won't... thumbs up on repair specialists, and let's wait and see on raid.
By the way: Offering the proto-nemesis in the raid is not going to get most people excited once they think about it. It's an outdated, costly relic that's a pathetic sitting duck for modern fleets- I met three in the last FAT, with good escorts, and by number three, my reactions was: FREE POINTS!
If you want to make it geniunely worthy of this little short time window, four player, sector cooperation targets, you need to offer something that's a significant improvement on those AI-version proto's with the built in super armour, radioactive resistance and cryo field.

TLC's are NOT based on player level, they are an all around difficulty... so another F.U. to low - mid level players. There are some who can't do the CURRENT TLC's. Thanks for alienating those players.
Another spoonful of crap, coated in lies from kixeye.

AAAHHH im so excited. the speed-up tokens and r10 dreads got me stoked, hope the dreads get back up near the top. looks good kix, please make this the best month of progress eva!

I was thinking the same thing. Perhaps 6 hour token at tier 1, 12 hour at tier 2, 18 hour at tier 3 and 24 hour at tier 4.
I am going to die......So lets do as much damage in that one attack before I do.
Though I'm hanging on to the keg of rum............
