Trust me, Alot of the negativity towards the reapers is mainly cause its a sub. I have already posted a video showing me hitting a 65 stronghold. Stay Tuned, i will make one hitting a high level mine
I always vouched for the Reaper, but that build time scares me off attempting to build a Downpour fleet. I'm sure I'll make a shoddy build and lose two months.

well my build is designed to be used in multiple battle types. but if you have the right tools and know what to do with them you can do alot with it.
my build is on the first post, but for drac bases its a very good fleet as you could prep out every gun, seeing you have to stop to fire, you can bypass buildings to get the guns.
Its in my opinion better to have a fleet that can be used in other instances, trying to save room for other fleets.
people who talk poorly about reapers are those that dont understand their capabilities. Reapers are a very nasty hull if built properly. The only down side of reapers are their build times.
You can tell this guy is a troll as he doesnt even know what specials are what. Stealth Attack System already has a small part, if you will of the Caterpillar Drive, so why in the hell would you put those two specials on the same ship? Not to mention the game won't allow you to, as it's like trying to put engine or thrusters on a hull when you've already got speed system on them. Like I said, troll.
Um, actually cat 3 blocs, stealth attack system keeps your subs underwater longer. You migh want to check your info before calling someone out like that.
My bad, I got the two mixed up as I've never used the cat drive and therefore never paid much attention to it. I think I'll actually try those on my cudas instead of just concussive 3 and batt 3.
Are you fking serious here? The Reaper sub? That sub is so pathetic that nobody ever uses them much anymore namely for the fact that it doesn't fully submerge which means it gets hit no matter what, and with the surface weapons the sub has to stop which means it takes damage even more. The reaper sub was one of the worst additions to the game as if they were that good, you'd see the map flooding with them, but I have yet to see one since their inception. What you're saying here can be done with specs or cudas.
What an idiot you are, a well built Reaper fleet can be a very formidable opponent, so they take damage when submerged, you still have to see them to fire on them. As for stopping to fire that only applies the the DP missiles, you can still move around and fire if you used say assault missiles (just an example as that would be an ineffective design). The reason you don't see them every where is because people like you have under-estimated them since their release.
Vallhala when did you learn to drive subs?? The reaper sub is a game changer. Very useful in the monthly raids as of late and as you have seen great in drac bases.I keep running into people that just havent seen them very much and after sinking a few fleets they own they appreciate them.

LOL i have always used subs, plus i am very good at visualizing angles and lines and have a very sickening sense of timing. All this is almost natural for me

Friday is driving them subs real good these days also. Im thinking of maybe doing a x mort reaper build for prepping not sure yet though. have a lot to do other than that right now.
Totally support you mate! I only got 1 A reaper fleet now and my stealth system is R6 now, still working on it. My D reaper fleet is still waiting to be built. Got to build some big ships I got using my reapers from last raid first. To those ppl saying reapers are ****, they just idiots. They have no idea how good reapers are!!!
I can believe that, people that know me in 272 (my home sector) knows that I'm the player equivalent of reavers with instant repair fleets at level 40, but spreading my wings to subs will help if i cant get either the Interdictor or Mercury anytime soon, as at this point im needing SOMETHING to counter the insane Cuda/Spectre/Reaper spam that is going by from randoms of other sectors entering 272 and just sinking everything they see
Just a question Valhalla. Why do you use Downpour missiles instead of Deluge missiles? The Deluge (77 range) have way more range than Downpour (65 range).

Guys, this is a necroed thread. The thread is started April 2014.
The deluge missile didn't come out until October 2014.
Valhalla's post is based on the tech available April 2014, not March 2015 or even October 2014,
Okay, gotcha, thanks Random! I saw the other post a while back too where he was saying to use Deluge missiles and I thought he changed his mind about them or something to that effect.
Got a flt of reapers now with torpB x7,cat3,bat3,engine 3 with all d2s atm and plan on after next raid putting 4 deluges on with strike 3 instead of engine 3.60% ranked, just building my base guard up since i can use the arbalest golis in raids now too lol R3 stealth systems atm
Proud to be a Bp youtuber of pve. minimum build time fleets and base guards

What Random said is true, but it also depends on what you are going to hit. Deluge and Downpours are the same type of weapon. But each one has its use. Just like Siege and Assault Weapons when siege is buildings and Assault is fvf. Downpours = Siege and Deluge = Assault. So for strongholds, mines, and drac bases, it far better to use the downpours due to the buildings and take the power from hitting the few ships. Using deluge inna drac base will really take longer to finish
