VEGA Timeline pt. 2!
You should probably read it first before reading this one. Part three will come soon (again, if you guys want more). But before I release it, I will begin work on a short story based on the Timeline. Thank you guys for the support!

- Shortly after V.E.G.A.'s total control, a rebellion named the Genesis War takes place on Earth, but is quickly suppressed with Kruger's new WMD, upgrading his Hellfire technology to develop the Scatter Missile MK I.
(Quick sciencey stuff: A particle accelerator is basically a big circular shaped tube that accelerates particles near the speed of light. When they collide, a huge amount of energy is released (As stated before, 1000x times hotter than the surface of the sun). Some scientists believe that the Big Bang occurred because of an enormous amount of energy at least 1000x MORE than that! With a big enough accelerator, it may happen again)
2179: Multiple space construction ships begin work on a gigantic particle accelerator to orbit Mars (which by now, is colonized). Iridium - being a super-conductive material - is chosen to control the amount of energy that will be released. A gamble on humanity and the universe is taken, unknowing if the energy will create another Big Bang.
2211: Construction finishes. The final gamble is taken. Despite unpopular vote in the V.E.G.A. council, the first test is initiated. A Big Bang is not created, but a wormhole is created instead. The entire planet of Mars is taken into another solar system. Communications are still functional, and more ships are sent through the worm hole. The new solar system is named Sector 2. Mankind's original sector is Sector 1.
2212: More gigantic particle accelerators are built. The enormous amounts of energy create several more random warps in space, but not wormholes.. alien artifacts begin coming from the warps and along with them, pockets of seemingly endless supplies of antimatter. Special V.E.G.A. cargo ships are immediately sent to harvest the antimatter. The artifact shows no sign of hostility, for now.
2230: Harrier Frigates and Genesis Cruisers are developed, with improved Scatter Missiles and weaponized Pulse Lasers. Remaining rebels steal blueprints to the Voyager corvette and Pulse Lasers. To counter the rebels, V.E.G.A. creates a super-long-ranged improved railgun.
Brilliant! Again, talent bro! And your knowledge of astrophysics is spot on. I'm thoroughly impressed and hungry for more!
Without further ado, enjoy this promised short story, named:
The Tachyon
S e t t i n g : Academy Compound of the Arms Lab module in Sector 2. V E G A owned. Year: 2250, 30 years after the development of the Genesis cruiser.
"Tell me boy, what do you know of the tachyon beam?" asked the professor. He was black, with a bald head and very firm, sobering face.This was basic knowledge. We learned this in elementary school. "Well Mr.Doyal, tachyons were first discovered-"
"No, what I meant was, how do they work? Don't give me a history lesson. This is Arms Lab. Not Tech Lab."
Several other cadets sneaked a few smirks and giggles. The lessons are easy. The transfer from Tech to Arms were not, and Doyal was rubbing it in my face. Transfers were called Scum, as in Rebel Scum. It fit perfectly, but I didn't mind; I actually admire the cunning and resilience of the rebels. VEGA would surely execute me for even thinking of such a thing.
"Tachyons are a type of particle that moves faster that light. However, it is a photon particle like light, but it does not follow the properties of light because it does not follow a fixed wave or sine pattern. Since it is not slowed down by such patterns, it achieves a speed faster than light."
A pause. "Class, you are dismissed. Except you, Jonathan."
As the others went up to return to quarters, a few shot a some unpleasantries: "Oh ****, Scum's about to get an **** whipping from the professor!"
"You should have stayed where you belonged, Rebel!"
"You don't belong here, never will!" More laughs. Didn't bother me a bit.
As soon as they were all gone, Doyal studied me for a few minutes, then said the most surprising thing: "You're ready."
"Excuse me sir?" I replied. I was only 17. Boys my age don't graduate in 6 years, and I was a transfer! As if he read my mind, Doyal replied:
"I'm not talking about graduation. I'll answer all your questions in a few minutes, but for now, follow me to my private quarters to that we can converse discreetly. Despite everything you may think of me, I've always kept a special look out for you."
I was shocked, and I was also beaming. When we got into his luxurious quarters, I stuttered. "I-I'm flattered Mr.Doyal. What is it that I'm ready for?"
"You've always had sympathy for the rebels, didn't you, Scum?"
I was shaking even harder. Not from pride. This was pure fear. He laughed aloud.
"I might as well tell you now! Please, please, take a seat!" Doyal said, with a huge grin on his cheek. I loosened my shoulders a bit and took it. What was going on?
His expression was now very grave. "Are you aware of who Mystery Voice is?"
I gulped and replied, "We know for sure that he supports the rebels, and that he is also one of us. A spy" Now that I thought about it, Mr.Doyal looked like the legendary Burr, one of the first rebel leaders..
"Jonathan. I am Burr. I am The Mystery Voice."
I knew that from the moment on, my life would never be the same again.
"Awwww, what the hell Pete, you end it right there?" I know, I know. TBH, I was making it up as I was writing. This may keep going, and I'm excited to see what other crap my brain makes up. Until then, I'm currently working on Part 3 for the timeline, and maybe this.

First of all, any particle moving faster than light, is a tachyon. Actually, for all intents and purposes, you can't really differentiate between tachyons and regular particles. Mostly, because at v = c, time appears to move backwards. Pretty cool right, but what that means is that detecting them is not trivial, hence why no one believes they are really real. You see the impact of an ftl particle, would make it look like an emission. Let me say that again, if you hit an object with tachyons, the object would begin emit a stream of slower than light particles equal to the self energy of the tachyon beam. So say said tachyon beam is composed of particles with the rest energy of say an xray photon, the struck object would emit xrays, positrons, and electrons as well get very hot very fast. Perhaps the ion path would track back to the original emitter? I would have to work that out.
Second, all flows of matter/energy follow the laws of optics. In fact the laws of optics, as I had to derive in school, arise from fluid dynamics. I won't bore you with the math. This also why what you said about them not behaving as a wave is erroneous. The wave nature of energy is ubiquitous, as is its particulate. It's literally a matter of perspective.

At v > c, time begins to appear to move backwards. At v = c, there is no time or space just energy. That comes from the lorentz boost of relativistic physics.
Thanks for your explanations! I was making this in my junior year of high school and much, if not all of the "science" stuff I've stated is from small tidbits I've heard yet it's probably nonetheless inaccurate, but it's cool to see the actual facts behind what I was trying to incorporate into my mini story.
