It's annoying and slow for me to take them atm, but I'm managing it with 5 HS (lv 6), 2 Cobras (lv 10), a platoon of 44 ERM (lv11) + 1 (e)mega tank (lv4) and 7 EHF (lv 7, split into a group of 5, 1 and 1 so you can deploy 5 with other units to cover where necessary).
First you need to bait the ground units - use HS and EHF volleys to lure them out so that you can down them with your air (a few EValks would help there if you have them too).
Once that is done I target walls with my EHF to get some splash dmg in + allow my HS to come closer to nuke longer range turrets (plasma, rocket, mortar, cryo) so the EHF can come slightly closer. I've not seen much sniper fire from watch towers in SS40s but if you do encounter that use 5 or 6 EHF with a mega tank meat shield.

I had finished all ss40 mission and got all 3 prices using lvl 8 hellfire and lvl 11 cobras and that was quite awhile ago, don't know if they had changed the strength of the base troop after that
1/ Choose the layout with 4 corner towers, laser tank on the corner and 4/5? gladiators in the centre
2/ place 5 hellfire on the corner shooting at the wall, the stingers in the tower will be drawn to kill your hellfire missiles, also provide 4 glating truck to aircover your hellfire, these are on standground.
3/ when the tower stingers are drawn by hellfire missiles, move your cobra to shoot the tower, the evalks will start chasing your cobras. Withdraw your cobra immediately and bait the evalks over the glating truck, and the glating truck will shoot them. once the tower is down your hellfire missile will lands and eglads will start to chase your hellfire. Hit end game immediately.
Repeat the above for four towers or only 2 is necessary to clear one side that will eventually let you shoot the CC but no need to kill all the defense. choose to attack the cc on the side without stronghold or the drone silo, that is the easiest side.
Remaining ground troops without the tower will be easy with lvl 10 cobras, just prepare to trade a few cobras and attack at a certain angle, and always have corrosive bullets on cobras.
Ok explain to me why my screen freezes when I hit the end attack button, end end up losing my platoon of to hell fire tanks to a mega or hell storm choppers to either Hercules or Gatling trucks, just lost 3 plats of hf. I'm not going to touch sickles until this problem is fixed
I can kill a 40 it's the glitches that I'm annoyed at. It can take up to 20 seconds to end an attack, and by then a mortar team have destroyed my hf toon

I just take sickles with bunkers and strongholds only with hs and nothing else. Hs can outrange everything in the base except flak tanks.To get flak tanks I just rely on splash damage from hs . My hs are lvl 7 st the moment.
send in titan -_- make it go for cc, kill cc end attack. 5 mins repair on titan !! how's that for strategy??? just like they all use evanqs and banshees!! it's borin **** hell, they give you all these units to upgrade yet there are only 2 you need for successn, banshee and evanqs!! stop upgradin everything just go for them oh and maybe ehovers!! cuz they are beasts 2
I still use ehellstorms taking very little to no damage. It's all about the right angles and strategy.
Doesn't have to be elite HS. Normal HS will do. But it will be better if they are modified. Armors should be anti-flak to deal with the sniping flak tanks just in case you don't notice them in time to run.

Not to bright are we!? Yes regular non modified storms can do the job, but I have estorms, therefore it's what I said I take them with, and if you know how to use them you can take the flaks out with them as well and not get touched. That is an example of why it is all about the right angles and strategy. Think about why Kixeye buffs everything else up, but has not the 40's in a very long time.
If you hit the 40's with bunkers and not towers your regular hellstorms can outrange the bunkers and you can take the entire 40 with no damage as long as you watch out for the flak tanks. Catch them coming and hit a target in front of them to kill them before they can get to you.

Suicide Evalk Spam is the way to go.
this is for ss lv 40 bases with the airtowers on the outside off the base
1st use 30 ESV on each tower
then deploy the titan and kill all the aa 1st
then u can destroy the rest on automatic pilot
in 4 minutes or less ure done
40 minutes repair on the titan and micro heal the ESV for the next ss40 rouge base

from what i have seen its usually a flash player problem
i did just one by sure luck. 6 Lv 5 Vanqs **** rushed from the deployment spot strait to the CC. took it out and won the battle so only 14 more to go

I get it sometimes but for me it usually gets on track after a while and when I refresh
The old setup i can do in like 10 minutes with 3 hs, but 5 is faster. No Repair unless my hellstorms suicide *yeah they still do that*

And here I've just been scraping by with my l5 EHF and Cobras...
Always get impatient at the end and waste plats trying to take down the last bar of the CC.
