what good do mines do if the attacking forces can see them

    think of the dmg ppl would have and the complainers if hidden

    have you ever heard of Battleship the game were player play on a hit and miss tactic well thats what they should be is hidden with the hit and miss tactic

    They act as a wall for channeling/blocking and interrupt enemies usual/optimal path of attack.

    If yours aren't doing that then it means you have put them in the wrong place and need to rethink your layout. In all honest step back and think for a moment, if you were attacking a base and suddenly your expensive ship exploded out of nowhere due to an invisible mine... would you find that fun as a gameplay element? and would that feel fair as a gameplay element?

    ((don't tell me your answer though, just think on it honestly for yourself))

    The name of a mine is a bit misleading, but an actual mine would be a horrible mechanic in a game like this.
