Silligoose not quite. Of course I autoed through the event. I wanted to maximize my time left for killing the sector all weekend. That was not the point. The point was that even people that did not auto through the event and do not coin finished it very quickly. That's the point. Of course you missed the whole point because you just HAD to find an excuse to spam crap about a player that you can't stop in game. Meh, it doesn't bother me at all though. Plenty of butthurt players **** about the chickens every day. So how was your event weekend?
My event went well.
Am I "butthurt"? Lol no.
The term "butthurt" is overused
by some players and seems a last resort when it is pointed out that whatever feel is an
accomplishment, is in fact, not.
Let me give you an example: Guy takes a fleet of apocs and destroys lots of vastly inferior fleets. On the final battle, he encounters a fleet of hawks which, for all intents and purposes as a result of builds, he should easily beat as well. Loses 4 of his apocs in the process. Goes to forums and posts about his "accomplishment" of beating 10 other fleets. Hawk pilot comes on and says:"You're fleet was strong and had a decisive advantage. You should actually have done better". Apoc pilot: "Lol you so butthurt. QQ more so I can feed on your tears". No no Apoc pilot, it was pointed out to you that given the circumstances, what you did was nothing special. That's not butthurt, that's just the way it went. Fly better next time.
You know what, I want to be perfectly clear regarding this, so here's another example:
Attacker destroys someone's base, after 4 hits, losing 2 top level
fleets in the process. Attacker says: "Look everyone. I killed what's
his face's base. Hooray for me!!!" Defender says: "The hit was trash - you lost much more than you should have".
Attacker replies: "You're just butthurt." News flash: Defender did not
say this because he is butthurt, it's because the hit was garbage.
Simple
Hope it's cleared up for you now.
Neither my previous post, nor this post, is a "ERMAHGERD ZERS CERNER NER SKERL NERB" rage post. You coin. So what? In this game, coining buys time. With enough coins, the need for skill, tactic etc, is no longer needed to any great extent. When one uses codes in other games, such as SC, the need for tactics, skill etc is also no longer needed to any great extent, or at all in some cases. That's the way it works. I myself have used codes in games when I was extremely bored/curious etc (Oblivion is an example - after I finished the game I had lots of fun creating spells that threw everything all over the place etc). I have one friend who plays games that way exclusively, because he enjoys doing so. Not my cup 'o tea, but different people play games in different ways.
Now that that nonsense is out of the way, back to your thread and my comment:
The thread started off with one theme: "Look at me, look at me, look how FAST I did the event!". Nothing really informative, nothing noting the challenge (if any), to be found from prospector fleets, just a guy who thinks doing the event quickly with coins is something worth bragging about. Just as I don't care that my one friend exclusively tends to play games with the "strategy" of using codes and finishes those games quickly, I don't care that some guy thought completing the event with a basic "strategy" of auto'ing and insta repping his fleets, which involved little interaction, tactic or skill as a result, was worth bragging about. As such I didn't bother to comment. You funded the game, you got your tech quicker - that's how the game works. Your "accomplishment" is equal to that of the average person being able to pour water into a glass. If you feel that's noteworthy, your standards are simply lower than mine.
Despite your delusions as to why I decided to
comment, there was
only one reason. That one reason being this statement (focus on the
words in bold) :
How the hell did my original post about the event being easy turn into...
Given the "strategy" you used and the time at which you created this thread, your opinion regarding the difficulty of the event means as much as the opinion of the SC player I mentioned before, for obvious reasons, regardless of how easy the event actually was. Don't like it? Too bad, that's life mate.
Wow! You actually wrote a book! Impressed but I just don't have the time to read it sorry. I posted this to let people know the event was easy and everyone was finishing it fast. I finished in in 2 hours but from the stats, I was the 8th person to finish it so within the first 2 hours 7 more finished before me. My intention with this thread is to mention that I had fun for 2 hours, the event was easy, and that is all. Apparently a crap load of others did the same thing. But you on the other hand, decided to post some crap about people who coin have no skill. Whatever dude lol ... More in game playing please and less bull crap posting is what I say :P The smallest player to get the dread was a lvl 28 .... case closed lol
Yeah, do yourself a favour - spend that 1 min required to read before posting, lest ye not grasp what is being said, as has happened. I did not say coiners do not have skill, derp.
lol wow really are you trying to impress us by making us read a story that clearly only pertains to 1 or 2 ppl you were even careful enough to make sure punctuation was correct as to make us think your actually mature, maybe if your going to rant you can cut it short a paragraph or two infact infact just write the summary next time maybe even cliff notes would be better. O and btw yes usualy ppl tht are butthurt take the time to be so articulate. just sayin
