Mortar turret 498 range! Secret buff or another example of how great dp2 is?

 I have had no end of problems with this event, more so than probably the last 5 combined then to add insult to injury you secretly buff the mortar turrets and tell no one about it. I sent maxed Hf's to destroy targets clearly far enough ahead of the mortars that with the known/accepted ranges to not take damage, instead I have my hf's smashed by the mortar because level 5 mortars now have a range of 498, is this intended or yet another glitch or bug or another way to catch out players to force extra repairs upon them?

The first picture shows the range now displayed for level 5 mortars in the defence lab (498 now) and the second shows the unit I sent my (maxed) hf's to attack from the right.

    And just to add, this wasnt the first time this bug/glitch or whatever you call it got me, it was after it had got me more than once that I decided I should double check the ranges of the mortar turret as things wasnt happening in the way they should be.

    Man, what is your problem, HF has range of 475, mortar turret has 498. So the mortar has 23 more range. When the shock tank is less than 23 away from the tower, the tower will shoot.

    Level 5 mortars NOW have 498 range? They've always had that! Besides, that shock tank is less than 23 away from the mortar, take those mortars last! Don't use your lack of knowledge to blame the mortar for your ehells death! I had no losses on wave 44....
    If you knew anything at all then you would know that it is widely known and accepted (and has been for a long long time) that mortars had/have a range of 479, I know my ranges, this is a extremely recent change, try doing a little research next time, you are completely wrong.

    Dude, mortar always had 498 range and it always outraged hellfires before they managed to fire. 479 = cryo, napalm, plasma

    Nope, in my table the mortar has a range of 498 and I created it 2 months ago.

    Dude you're completely wrong. This guy is right, the mortar turrets had a range of 498 and never changed. The turrets with a range of 479 are plasmas, cryos, napalm and hellfires.

    mortars have always been 498. always there was no buff

    If im wrong im wrong im man enough to admit it, I would have sworn on my life though that mortar also only had 479 range and not 498 if not then I stand corrected.

    LOL!  Is it???!?!??!?!??!?!   It is only  'accepted' by you.  The rest of us accept the fact that the ACTUAL range is and ALWAYS has been 498 for red mortar turrets. Best range in the game next to the RBT if I'm not mistaken (I don't have this one maxed, or even unlocked)

    Mortar has always had 498 range as its max if you hit a turret directly next to it it won't fire, and the rocket barrage has 548 range which is insane until you look at the dps.

    Level 5 Mortar turret has always had range of 498, even before Dynamic turret feature.
    There was no secret buff.

    Well, you didn't really act very maturely to their responses either.
    To be honest, I don't understand how you could have faulted when using EHFs, every HF user should know not to go head on for mortars.

    Sometime ago, last December I guess, mortar turret have 479 range as this guy say. 
    But was wide spread when Kixeye boost mortar turret, remember when u join ur base and all units are under repair because have  +range +live and + dps?
    In the same upgrade they change ur troops and mortar turret range, this is a very old tread.

    Dude you're retarded. 1000% wrong on all counts. Mortar 5 (red) has ALWAYS ALWAYS had a range of 498. Just quit now.

    You didn't start this thread off very maturely either accusing us of a sneak buff/trying to force players to incur more repairs through "bugs". Closing this out. the Mortar range is correct. (Also everyone one else, play nice)
