Good Basing Exo fleet?

So what I'm planning to use now for basing Exos seems like sh*t to me... 0.0  Haven't tested them yet because I started working on a different fleet after 3 exos built. So here's my setup :

  • Plasma torp 1, Scatter 2 X2
  • Irid 2 x3
  • shock 3 (my best shield, haven't got spec 4 yet)
  • rear 2
  • 30 DPS D: (awful....) and rather high armor
Yes, I know these ships are fails (love my beam exos though), and I'd like to know what a good basing Exo fleet would be, preferably explosive weapons for some reason.

    Oh, I I get nice f***ed up range differences in my weapons thrown in.

    Beams are the only good weapon for basing Cruisers really, the others weapon range wont make any difference for them.

    u need beam exo's missiles will not cut it for any base unless the base is utterly crap

    Like Boss said, Cruisers are not meant for basing but they can do well with blitzing with lasers. If you want to use things other than Beams, get a different hull.

    Beam 3, Zynth 1, Shock 3, Rear 3, and Cargo 3. :3

    Uh... not so sure about that. Depends on your enemies. Spec 4 instead of Shock 3 for bases without PCs. Cargo 4 is better than 3 (which you should have around the same time as Shock 3).

    I used only plasma torpedoes with a 3 shockwave and 3 energy shield, try to open the weakest side of the base and then... rape only the necessary.

    A problem with that setup is you can't fit Spec 4 or Cargo 4 on the ship with all the other stuff, unless you sacrifice attack power for shields.

    If you're level 25+ your base dies or even suffers 12 hour bubble to six exos of whatever build or shields, then there's something seriously, seriously wrong with your defence.....

    and please listen to theholyasdf. if your base falls to exos then you dont got laser 5 or you just set it up for failure . My base below will tear apart any exo that it comes across. Come hit me if you think you can destroy it.

    I have this setup on my Exodus Cruisers:

    Weapons: Level 2 Beam Laser, Level 3 Beam Laser, Level 1 Plasma Battery
    Armor: x3 Level 1 Zynthium Alloy
    Shields: Level 3 Shockwave Shields
    Tactical Slots: Level 3 Rear Thrusters and Level 1 AM Warheads

    This setup is for basing and also Fleet vs Fleet.  The Plasma Battery combined with AM Warheads allows you to hit larger groups of ships before they get to you (possibly good for Harrier spams).  The Rear Thrusters combined with the Beam Lasers make it good for blitzing and basing.

    This is a multi-purpose ship setup, so it may be better at basing then in fleet vs fleet and vice-versa.  Hope this helped!

    yeah but when it dies you'll have a long a$$ repair time with x3 zyth on them.

    Time isn't a good basing fleet of egos...by the time you build it its worthless
