The deposits you have own are yours until you lose them. At the time, you can station troops in it. With the update of Special OPS, there is a rare OPS about frontier base operations, that means that you can deploy platoons from depos.

Dealing with depo thieves

If the thieves are LV 15 or less, I strongly tell you: Station Gazing truck is the best for it.
When the thieves are coinded, but still LV 15 or less, it can prevent them from coining a deposit.

If the thieves are LV 15 to 25, it is strongly to station Gazing truck with some Paladins. If you have hellfire, you can also station 1.

If those thieves are LV 25 to 30, it is strongly recommended to have stationing a mix on Gazing Truck, Flak Tank, Paladins or challengers , with some hellfires at the same time.

Preventing to be attacked on LV 30 or above in a Tiny or small depo is useless. It is suggested to fight back.

Large / Giant deposit guide:

Make those motar in, machine out. and station Elite Gazing on those Motars. It can prevent Hellfires from direct shooting to your Machine gun.


A matter on FAV

to prevent FAVs' on attacking your depo, it is recommended to statioin Laser Tank in depos, but those Laser Tank are not recommended to be sent without gazing.

    If acquiring/conquering deposits from other players is called thieving, then how the hell new players get hold of deposits? I joined last week and now lvl 20 but i dont have single deposit. How the heck newcomers like me sustain in this game if i dont conquer it from other players?

    So silly.

    yes i agree how do you get deposits...? and if it is called thieving then the people that have them must be thieves!

    how can I deploy my own weapons at oil / Metal Deposits? if the existing weapons are not enough to defense?

    ask other players in your sector for them, or take them as rouges

    why dont you just ask someone for a deposit, thats easy

    There are a few ways to get them without taking them by force from others:

    • Keep and I out for Rogue ones popping up.  It happens, not all the time but still.  You just have to look for the yellow rising field.  The more you are active on the map the better the chance of running across a Rogue Depot.
    • When someone post that a thief has taken a depot in chat ask if you can aid him in its recovery.  Sometimes they will tell you if you take it back you can keep it.
    • When someone is complaining about not being able to attack another player because of the Level Protection and the target is in your range offer to help.  Player sometime use depots as payment for services like this. 
    • And as others have said, you can just ask. If you have been in a sector for a while you should get to know other players and make friends and there is no harm in asking friends for depots.

    Note: This guide is for defending thieves, not catch depos... Wrong aspect complaining...

    this is a war game. resources are used  against you by your enemy.thus taking the depots limit the ability to gain resource.its  not thieving just like killing an enemy soldier isnt murder, quit crying and retake it plus 10 more and hit the base if lv is within range

    Asking is never a bad route, especially if you are new. You don't want to make to many enemies to quick, but yes war game it is. With war there should come strategy.

    Just saying I found three rogue oil and metal deposits in a week and no one tries to steal it from me.

    No, I have around 100 Deposits and have never stolen one.   I found almost all mine as Rogue Deposits.   You just have to find them.  I've gotten really good at spotting the Yellow rising border but I see players all the time go right by them and not notice. 

    The don't spawn all at one time like Thorium and at a set time. A few pop up every once in a while at any random time. 

    Haven't you noticed that your sector seems to be getting full or one day you come out of your base and there is a deposit someone owns right outside that wasn't there before? 

    At one point every Deposit in your sector was a rogue and up for grabs.  

    By the way if a player owns deposits and jumps out of the sector while still having them they don't go with him they all convert back to being the Yellow Rogues.

    No, you can not upgrade or add Turrets, Bunkers, Land Mines or Walls. 

    But you can bring a Platoon ( Space 1500 ) of what ever ground units you like and place them in the deposit as defenders.  They can be placed in bunkers or any where else you like.  You may also re-position any of the existing Def Structures to your liking.

    Truly 90% of the player owned deposits have no player added units in them at all for defense.  And once a player takes control of a rogue deposit the units that were defending it ( Infantry, tanks and so forth ) are gone for good.

    There is no reason to Defend one.  If someone takes it you just take it back. It is a massive waste of valuable unit space to throw any in deposits.
