    I've never been a smoker but I want to smoke some of whatever Kixeye are on lol.

    Unless a MAJOR base update is coming these prizes are going to even have some coiners quitting because anyone who has the specials and ships can kick their arses.

    I don't understand when D-X first time came up, level any base, then mc-x same thing, then thresher, kixeye does this most times, give advance to attackers for some period time, and then give some to defenders.
    Or the problem is even a bad player, with bad setup can level your base now ? :P

    I bet you won't be able to couple the new siege special with HE3, or EW3. If you can, and sacrifice your engine, then you'll be a lame duck. Thinking about the new hull is throwing a lot of people off. When we hit the new Drac OP's I instantly thought about the revival of mortar bases. I'm thinking Kixeye decided to release this hull before they release the super awesome drac mortar turret. I'm totally happy with my halos, and intend to grab the Javelin, but I'm unsure about changing everything if they did release those. I just started kicking ****. It makes sense especially with folks having to use hails even more than recent times since halos were released. The all shock dnx's, and the siege/strike L mcx's will have to be refit.

    Well lets consider the Guardians potential to be =/= 5 VMs? Two Guardians have the potential to put up 44 morts per volley with 65% reload, 5 VMs put up 20 per volley... Two Guardians will overwhelm creeper fleets out right with the equivalent mortar power of 10 VMs without slide. Of course placement,specials,armor etc will play a part in there effectiveness.

    Gotta say im thinking creeper fleets gonna have a real issue with this so best of luck delivering your new jacked up payloads to target :P I think its still fairly balanced considering the guardian built proper..

    lol i guess they realize that the bigger guy coins dock repairs more..the low level guy hits the repair button and high level hits the "INSTANT" repair button..so if they let the small guy bash the bigger guy and you know the rest LMHO.

    Wonderful. Maybe now people will finally start ignoring base defence as the waste of time it is.

    Anything makes raid fleets more effective though, better still.

    I see isuues with the new specials, the new ship......I think all they will keep doing is upping the armor, damage which equals more income......who knows maybe in a year the armor will be great then they can play hero's and lower repair times then haha........I don't think I am even getting this hull, may get mort and below but this game is on it's last legs with me to be honest (and I have everything ever offered in this game).  Magic what are your thoughts or that other level 59 mod lol......don't you care to argue with Liam?

    Not so sure this special is that big a deal.  It doesn't effect damage done to guard fleets and with no range increase you aren't hitting halos/javs sooner.  These are the two keys to base defense now not the line of 4-7 cerb/disruptor/howie's up front.  This special will kill them all a bit faster I suppose but until you can take out 3+ gollies with 21k armor each AND 3-8 halos/javs faster it isn't that big a deal IMO.

    Lvl 5 plats cant be too far off then.....most turrets regardless of specials (panels etc) get splattered fast anyway...

    wtf got the money talk raised again?!!...the special is a tier 3 ,NO ONE  will coin to get it..lvl 30 players can finish tier 3 with a chewing gum on a shoe..its no longer a money thing and kixeye starting to be hard to figure out.

    I couldn't care less about the building damage of the mortars, it's ship damage that is needed.
    I haven't had a single DN-X mortar fleet get in my base. They all 'time out' trying to sink my goliath that has 21k armor, 87% explosive defense, 2 bombards and 8 hails for defense.

    With the guardian I've done the maths and it'll last a good 50% longer than the goliath with a similar build as well as having 3 additional hails and using the third special slot for counter measure. I doubt I'll see anyone sinking it unless they have a 40 shockwave Q fleet with some shocks traded out for the new assault mortar.

    Buildings now melt as if they weren't ever there, however ships built right now are nigh on impossible to kill using certain weapons. It's all messed up in multiple different ways.

    Im sure my 2 cents mean **** all but from my point of view from hitting bases I cant say that there is any building thst does not fall fast enough..... I mean unless a dude has silly amount of anti weapons in there base, a typical turret will fall from what, 1 maybe 2 volleys from a MCX..? That is more that quick enough for me! Its the guard fleets that stop attacking fleets in my eyes but this special does sweat FA to them! Now if you was to use this special on a raid fleet in a drac base or hub for example..... now I see the benefits, see what I mean? Or is it just me? :)

    ok I am just saying that turrets(cerbs/disruptors) ain't good as a base defence against missile and mortar fleets... everything is in your guard it slow them down.... without guard ''every'' base is easy. and it will just boost building damage and it will boost your weapon weight really bad. so i am not really concern about that special at all. we will get new mortar. would say its more than 3 times better than any other assault mortar has anyone think about that? If I am gonna change mine into new X it will be like i have 12 Cs with help of 4 negotiators(no **** way to beat that). and I am more concern about hitting bases in few months with them new Guardians and morts on them then defending against siege Bs+ siege special

    No. I have a second goliath that moves and stacks under the other which has 6 hails on it. The one with 87% explosive defense has 2 hails. So a total of 8 hails covering the primary goliath.

    Only hope they read this and take note....this could be the final nail in the coffin....utter madness...have you also noticed that they gave...yes gave Morts away in the weekly missions and now they have yet another in the Raid...short of ideas me thinks and just spamming now.

    The new Siege Targeting will make a even simple Shockwave mort Mauler fleet a beast in killing bases.

    Personally, I think all this new stuff is coming out too fast. When this game started we had enough time to really build and work with fleets and weapons. It was nice. Now we keep getting things thrown at us and not many have a chance to really learn the new stuff. 
    I have to disagree with you on this..it shows that youre not a genuine strategy game player rather than a video gamer..it makes perfect sense that there must be this or that framework that enables different players to have different capabilities within a limited duration..the fm formatt and the way it awards prizes constitutes just for that..different players will have different technologies and capabilities given it depends on your luck what to dig up this week or next week out of the fm.

    I have to disagree with you on this..it shows that youre not a genuine strategy game player rather than a video gamer..it makes perfect sense that there must be this or that framework that enables different players to have different capabilities within a limited duration..the fm formatt and the way it awards prizes constitutes just for that..different players will have different technologies and capabilities given it depends on your luck what to dig up this week or next week out of the fm.
    Normally I would agree with your main point...but as this is casheye we are talking about your reply is flawed....in a strategy game you tend to all have access to the differing options at the same time and can build/use at the same time....the huge difference here is that you need to coin huge to even get the toys and then coin even more to be able to fit and try...

    First off this game should come with a complimentary box of tissues. Second, obviously you people haven't made it to the big boy game yet because there are currently bases that unless you throw away 2-3 of your best fleets to get into.....your not getting into. I'm not talking about your HH or other "I don't coin" ships. I'm talking Specs, DNX, MCX, and Threshers. Sure most of you can be one shotted now so what difference does it make? One shotted in 5 min or one shotted in 3 is still one shotted. FFS, stop the crying already. Almost don't even want to come onto forums cuz it's "But but but *insert small tear* I can't defend against that!" GOOD! Think outside the box and do something better for a change!

    ****, this new special is just insane. Imagine a triton shredder III fleet. Easily done within weight limit.

    Every SINGLE ship doing 17k building dmg/ salvo, carrying 10k armor, 15 combat speed, 67 range, missile + whatever else u want resistance ;P

    yes youre dead on..when there is enough room for skill..I mean : we both can have nuks and nuclear technology but who can hit the target city better (the bulls-eye guy who knows how to guide the nuk)..but there is not much room for that on this game..if we both have nuclear technology we can just exterminate eachother and no winner in this conflict.

    as far as the topic, i agree that it will be a game changer, but then Kixeye has been game changing since day one and this isn't the same game it was 2 years ago when i really started playing seriously. that being said, even someone who can't do a decent job hitting a base could do a better job with this special and with the new mortar. only question i have is when do we get the base defence version?

    all i have to say kixeye allways counter every thing so pull u socks up again   jeez man  of course this wont spoil the game it would make it go to the next step more fun  and guess what  ive seen some posts allready bout this but still  there ovoiously going to bring new turrets out and prob 2 specials per turrets to counter the new mortars think about it theres always a counter to what kixeye release calm down jez dude

    I agree it is over powered and people that says its not dont really understand fleet builds, they will change their minds after their base melts. Seriously Kix just needs to setup a test server like Liam said and we can show them that no base would be safe with this special on it.

    DNX using shock q, building damage per volley, 1050

    You put me in a test server now with any single member from your dev team, allow me to construct the needed fleets and then put any base you want in front of me and i will smoke it. i challenge anyone in your company to design a base i cant break with this new special...

    so before you try to tell me i am wrong and we need to adapt first show me. this is stupid. its beyond stupid its **** ridiculous.

    I am shocked at how bad this really is and how bad of a negative impact this will have on the game, im shocked that a company of your stature would design this and consider for release. Im totally gob smacked. I would like some answers as to why kixeye feel this is a good release and why something so stupidly over powered has been released.

    You sure they not just going to give percentage like this

    Triton   b mortar   3200  x  150%   =  4,800  and not add the 3,200 that would make more sense if not agree with your comments  no base is safe
