im not saying waste it, I'm just pointing out that the new special isn't the end of the world as players could increase their building damage anyway if not as drastic as the +75%. Just helps taking a step back and re-evaluate it, i know how daunting it looks right away

THats only for the turrets. Now you have a guard fleet and fewer weapons to kill them with. This gives every ship that capability with a minimum weight disadvantage. Also with the tac module you have to 5 finger (or however many hulls in the fleet) to make it stay ahead to make missiles and morts effective) and while its doing that it is getting hammered by the guards and the turrets. then it is gone and you have the rest of the turrets and all the guards to deal with. Why do you think that module is never used? the cons out weight the pros on it. This opens the door to a lot of things and unless your base is specifically geared to one type of attacker then someone is getting in. Period.

i didnt say it was fool proof i said there is a way of increasing building damage before the special, never that is was perfect and im sure some of the elite could have made the module work for them if they really wanted to and played around with it
A triton has 75% extra building damage, plus the new special makes it a total of 150% extra base damage. This brings up the damage of one siege mortar B to exactly 8000! You could fit 5 tritons, each with DU4 armor, one siege mortar and one other special. This would give you a fleet of ships with a massive amount of armor which wouldn't need countermeasures because you'd already have destroyed all the cerbs by the time the vm morts landed. You could have a fleet capable of doing 40000 damage WITH EACH SALVO!!!
Normally I wouldn't be so quick to criticize Kixeye, BUT COME ON!!! Even if my math is a little off, the ships would still do a ridiculously massive amount of damage! NO BASE IS SAFE!!!

dude you can only hope because with calculations im getting that a fleet can erase bases easily the bases dont stand a chance with this unless you stack anti stuff on your base fleets which then ballistic as well as rockets can run through and kill all of that as well so itll make it impossible for base defense

Liam- You are assuming that on a 3 special slot hull someone would either A. Have the weight for this special or B. Give up either Shells 3 or Alloy 3. Use your brain. The only hull this special will work on is Siege rocket Threshers. If you threw this on a DNX hull you would be forced to have to use all medium armor plates to compensate for the weight and shells 2 instead of 3.

All u have to do to make a murderous dnx is go all heavy armor that specaill and go light on seige mortars since the new shock Q with this special and HE 3 would b over kill as it is u dont need siege mortars to add weight to yr fleet and u can make a fleet with room to spare of shocks with alloy HE3 speed sys and the new specail. BUT LIAM i totally agree i am a 72 and i think bases got much harder but that the challenge of the game thiws will make it to easy for me and to easy for others to trash me hi lvls will now ge broken by lvl 50s with this new special and a decent hull. Remember june's huge PR fail during the raid, some people still are giving crap to kixeye over that...which as it might, does not surprise me one bit.
Since my weekend is booked, I am wondering if I should even participate in the raid, since tier 4 would take me all weekend to get and the only thing I would get is the OP special since I have arcs 1 and 3 but not 2, so unless I wanted to get arc 2 to compete the set that would basically be it.

and what about the little guys bases im talking about the lv 40-45 bases that dont have all the good guns in their bases, and u get high levels blowing the crap outta their bases, im also talking about the ones that play this for free and not coin, u really think they are going to stick around after getting flattened all the time specially with the new siege, ive seen 3 dnx,s walk through a very tough base lv 64 with 9 of the seige b in 1 hit no prep, even if they bring out the new ship designed for the defence of this seige, u really think lower levels and people that dont coin alot to get the new ship will stick around and play your game kix, u really need to give your head a shake.

I just got hit, a Full Mcx fleet died in prep then a Dnx Siege B mort fleet barely made it past my first corner....
My judgement on the new Siege Special i will leave until i see it in action but it does definately look very OP
I do think we are going to get Artillery and or some drac defensive tech. Might get drac anti morts/barrack....
Also need to compact building to fit to single tile so better to defend against this new tech...
Also turrets should be half tile to better from getting sniped..
Some new toys does not hurt.. Rather it level gaming field if used against FvF.. Would like to have Morts with same range as Missile, but same damage as negotiator... They never thought about that... Lots of things they never think though..... (like my post lol)
Still think they should get a tournament (cash prizes going and have raids every other month from a tour.)

Umm- My comment was regarding the stats of both hulls. Essentially, they are the same hull. The guardian is a "Mortar Buffed Defensive Hull". What makes this mortar buffed is the 65% mort reload. DNX has 65% mort reload. I am sorry but I see no need to spend $20 for a tier 5 prize that is so similar to the DNX and can only be used as a guard. Please explain to me the justification in getting this hull? 2k armor and 1 additional wep slot? You can have it. I'll keep my money thanks.

That is a bit much. Also them putting the ARC missile as a raid prize? Really? sigh....... As opposed to alloys are something useful they waste raid prize slots when something like the Arc should be in the FMs if not researchable.
