Moving from planet to planet

Is there a warp way to do this.....I saw someone warp into my planet from another planet far far away.......how did he do that?

    He was at your planet already.  He took a shortcut to move around it by leaving and then reentering.

    if you change to sector view, the button in the top right of the screen. with your fleet selected you can move it to various planets in your sector, or go through a warp gate into another sector
