I haven't hit an antimatter carter yet has anyone got good ideas for fleet layout, weapons and shielding before I go and learn the hard way.

    Well the Harrier bait and kill works on almost all Vegas. The antimatter cargos are little different. You have more chasers, but that just means quicker victory if you know what you're going.

    Of course, all planetary cargos die pretty fast to an Exo fleet with long range weapons and thrusters (when thrusters work).

    Oh harriers? You don't have much choice there, go with whatever you have room for. The Vega Cruisers fire Lasers and if you play it right they'll be the only thing that hits you. So go Spectral. But honestly, you shouldn't be getting hit at all.

    So are you wasting your time using ships like exodus cruisers

    You can fit exactly 288t with pulse 4 and 5, so no need for shields or armor, plus shorter and cheaper repairs is better, with them, basically if you even take a hit in any 20+ cargo, you're dead. Also, exoduses/gens will be too slow till they fix thrusters.

    I use the X cruisers and also use 3 small cruisers and easily destroy a level 20 anti matter cargo set using the small ships to draw them out to go after the smaller and the bigger i just destroy them with torpedos...Though  i havent tried the longbows yet I just may .

    Okay, with the recent repair time changes, I've found that a fleet of Exos is very viable against Anti-matter Cargos.  For AMCs from 20 to 25, I recommend Shockwave shields, since these fleets fire lots of plasma batteries.  For level 27s and 30s of AMCs, I recommend a mixture of the Deflector shields for handling the long-range ships, and Shockwave shields for handling the battleships which love plasma batteries.

    I've killed plently of planetary vegas with my exo fleet. I've got shockwave 3's, 2 beam 3's and 1 scatter missile 5 on each. No room for thrusters though. Basically when I get into battle all I do is line my ships up, and strafe backwards while the vega fleet chases. After I take out the first ship that charges in, I move forward and take out eveything in the way. if your takin on anything over 23 they'll have a couple ships in the back with rails. it's easy enough to take your fleet and split them up to come at the ships from either side and take them with less damage than just charging in.

    Exo's with 3 lvl 1 Mass Drivers, Strafe 4 Thrusters, what ever type of armor and shielding you want, and your good to go for AM and VEGA fleets.
