Good harrier Build, Since Torp will be history

Just built a fleet as back up because sooner or later we will not be able to launch Frigs with Torp

Frig  Gauze 1 x 2.

You get about 6 K in XP for each ship and quick to build.

They are still Inst Repair each.

They can take out large Vega Cargo,  just little more time compared to Torp.

I will miss my Frigs with Torp.

    That is a bad build, inefficient. For starters you are lacking 88 tons of usage. May as well pack a slightly higher gun. But honestly Railguns are more efficient than Gauss. Using Railgun 3 and 4 will take you to 265 tons leaving you 23 to use in armor. Plasteel 2 works for this. Instant repair build, but you have 18 DPS instead of 14 DPS.

    Naturally there is 500 less range on Railguns, but with skill this doesn't matter.

    I agree with Curtis - I did two Rail 3s and a shield, but I think having the extra punch is a little better.  My fleet just barely timed out on a 35.

    We talked about that build also in Sector,  I agree with skill,  you won't need the extra 500.

    I like having that little extra buffer in-case of a lagg attack.

    I also tried adding on missile 2  waste of time.

    Please bring up any other builds it does not hurt.

    Hey Curtis, how'd you make that Rail3/Rail4 build?  You only have 240 tons to work with on a Harrier because of the empty weight.  The two rails are 105+160 = 265t.

    Anyway, my build, which CAN BE BUILT is:
    2xRail3, Plas2, Spec1

    13m22s or instant in 3 steps.

    You are correct regarding the base weight. So rather than Rails 3 and 4 you can have 2 x Rails 3. Compared to the Gauss option which is 2 x Gauss 1, the Rails option has 2 DPS more for the 500 less range. Given that you intend not to ever be hit I doubt the armor or shields has any meaning.

    If kixeye keeps removing the ability to kite and wants full on slugfests between heavy warships.. they gotta up the capacity on them to mount heavier shields and armor to draw out the battle.
    Just fought someone in a rancor to rancor battle and it was close but lasted a good 20 seconds of sustained broadsides and it was great.

    Same here,  Sector 100 vrs 200 Great FVF Battles.

    Gota make a fleet of frigs for that,  Salvage Fleets not really cutting it

    for the frigate fleet of 6; three ships with 2, either  lv 2-3 rail guns or two lv gauss guns or a mixture of the two. on the next three frigates attach 1 rocket barrage launcher and 1 rail or gauss gun. this set up will allow you to still have enough weight left over for shields and armor. it will allow you to have ample range but also some kick if the enemy fleet gets too close to you.
